When we started Nimbus Learning, we looked to solve what we saw as a gap in support for students such as ourselves. Our peers would reach out for help but would be faced with a multitude of obstacles to access student success services. We watched as they put time and effort into finding help (whether that be finding tutors, mentors or other support) on top of an already intense workload, juggling school, jobs and family responsibilities. We watched their health, wellbeing and success suffer as a result. When we connected with administrators to try to understand the problem, we saw ambitious and dedicated offices spending a significant amount of time every day on repetitive, time consuming tasks. Tasks like emailing to match students with the right mentor, recruiting tutors, and tracking hours and time sheets. Over the years we have honed Nimbus Learning’s services to make student success services more accessible while cutting down on the administrative workload. The Nimbus Platform centralizes tutoring, mentorship and advising programs into one place, where service providers can make their availability known in a few steps and students can book what they need at the click of a button. We help tutors develop the tools they need to succeed in their first jobs, empower administrators to see every aspect of their program in seconds and guide future planning based on in-depth analytics. We now work with administrators at over 25 schools, representing a quarter of a million students, to reduce the time that they spend on managing their student services by 52%. Baginton Fields School, Coventry admits secondary aged students with severe and complex SEND. The school commissioned Links Therapy Company to provide specific advice, support and expertise to further develop a newly implemented curriculum for students with ASD. Links Therapy provided a bespoke support programme including student observations and assessments, staff tutorials and feedback sessions that focused on personalising best practice for individual students within the context of the emerging curriculum. Staff expertise was enhanced considerably as a result of mutual professional respect and aspiration to provide optimum opportunity for student progression. I was particularly impressed by the extensive expertise demonstrated by Links Therapy colleagues who were flexible and professional throughout their time at Baginton Fields. We decided on an initial consultation and a follow up of 6 "hands on" sessions. These were carried out weekly on a 1:1 basis. The practitioners were very professional and liaised with school staff throughout. We were provided with a detailed report after the intervention and will continue to implement the detailed guidance. I would definitely recommend Links Therapy and would use them again in future. Empowr-U started in March 2018 and began working to transform young people’s lives with outreach projects in areas such as Spon End, Stoke Aldermoor, Manor farm, Tile Hill, Canley and more. We also worked in collaboration with Coventry Boys and Girls Club to transform it into a modern and exciting organisation in the city centre of Coventry, which now serves hundreds of young people from various parts of Coventry. Our work with schools has also enabled many children and young people to improve their lives through mentoring, support groups and projects developing mental health, positive mindset and life skills. We continued to develop our programmes in Coventry and Warwickshire. Our Own-it project engaged nearly 1500 young people in Tile Hill, Canley and Kenilworth. We have been in partnership with Whitstable Town FC since 2016. We currently operate our Whitstable Town FC Academy under the clubs name to allow clear pathways to progress into the mens reserves and the clubs first team. We hold our education at the club in our brand new classroom and host all our home games for the academy at the stadium. We work closely with the club, providing them with an U7 team each season, from our Saturday Development sessions. We support the coaches on training nights to ensure the coaches are improving and that the quality of session delivery is being improved, so to develop each individual within the club. Our partnership is going from strength to strength with the academy numbers growing. Our academy is one one of the biggest in Kent and is fast becoming well established in the country.
