Isha Foundation teaches pure, classical yoga, with a deep respect for the tradition and science of yoga. The programmes have been developed by the highly respected Yogi, Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, who is a regular speaker at international conferences and on television. All of Isha's Hatha Yoga Teachers have undergone at least 21 weeks of intensive training, amounting to some 1,750 hours. The teachers are independent of Isha Foundation. Classes are carefully designed so that the student learns to perform the yoga at home, without needing to continue paying to attend weekly sessions. No equipment is required, except a yoga mat.

I have trained both male and female clients ranging from 14 - 83, one lady in particular began her training in her mid 60's and she still has a regular bank of clients, this was over 10 years ago. The tutors here are not only therapists who show you how to give a treatment, we have years of experience within the Industry. Our courses follow the National Occupational Standards (NOS), giving the student the most relevant professional training.  We are all PGCE qualified, experienced assessors, verifiers and examiners and have spent many years teaching in Further Education. We are very proud to have provided training to owners and their staff of many salons as well as college lecturers wishing to add to their skills. I first came across the Alexander Technique when I was looking for something to help me stop getting tension headaches, lower back pain, and neck problems. Finding a teacher and learning the principles, ideas and concepts of the technique gave me an appreciation of what I was doing to myself that created the pain, as well as how I was putting myself wrong in some other areas of my life too! I learned the good news: that if I was causing my difficulties, then I also had the power to stop causing them. I have become a more flexible, happier, calmer and easier to be with person. I move in a more co-ordinated way and have re-found the joy in moving I remember having as a child. I no longer have any tension headaches, neck problems or lower back aches. I feel more at home with myself than I ever have in the past. I am a teacher trained by the ITM (Interactive Teaching Method Association). This means that I studied for four years and passed four written and one practical exam. I spent six months within the course as a student teacher. I graduated in 2003. I am a member of the ITM Teachers’ Association and have a BSc (hons) degree from the University of Bristol. I have taught individuals, small groups and evening classes, as well as workshops and courses for businesses, colleges, the WEA, the WI and the local council. I have run workshops at festivals such as the Larmer Tree and the Big Green Gathering. I have taught music students at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. I also taught students at the Musical Theatre School in Somerset, and dance students at Bristol Dance Centre. I love teaching this work because I love seeing my students improve their movement, their thinking and the way they see themselves as well as the way they see the world.

Angela Roberts is a long-term student of yoga and it continues to enrich and inspire her life. She has been teaching yoga since the 1990s and runs yoga classes in and around Bath. She is an accredited British Wheel of Yoga teacher, a Senior Yoga Alliance registered teacher and a Yoga Sports Coach. She has completed Paul Harvey's 3-year Professional Yoga Teaching and Therapeutic Healthcare Training Programme and continues to study with Paul (whose teacher was Desikachar). She is also co-director and teacher trainer on the 200 hour, Yoga Alliance registered, Yoga Bodhi Teacher Training Course held in Bath and a Yoga for Healthy Lower Backs teacher. She first came to yoga as a teenager through her interest in spirituality and meditation and her love of movement and dance later led her to asana practice. She is particularly interested in working with the breath and practising pranayama. She has had the privilege of studying under many wise and amazing teachers from different traditions but increasingly with those who directly follow the teachings of Śrī T Krishmacharya. Angela encourages enquiry and discovery, looking for ways to uncover and free tension patterns, to observe and to allow space for individual growth.

In Musical Theatre and Comedy & Drama our students will be working on skills whilst we begin rehearsals for our upcoming musical of The Little Mermaid, performed at the 1542 Performing Arts Centre! In Film & Television, we are exploring pre-production, storytelling and filmmaking practice whilst taking part in a variety of PQA challenges! Our Poppets will be exploring a range of themed sessions, they will even be making their own Poppets movie! All of our students will be developing their confidence and Performing Arts skills across the range of brilliant sessions we offer!
