Bristol Insight Meditation (often referred to simply as Bristol Insight) was set up in 2003. Since then we have grown organically into a peer-led registered charity – we are now a network of over 400 people involved in a wide range of organised activities. As well as Insight meditation, some of us have practice backgrounds in traditions such as Quakerism or Tibetan and Zen Buddhism. Our approach emphasises inquiry, experiential exploration and mindfulness amongst many other influences. It is not important to hold particular beliefs or to consider yourself a Buddhist to attend our events, all are welcome. What we do have in common is an interest in our own personal development as part of a supportive community.

CaPPP is a networking organisation for counsellors and psychotherapists in private practice in the south west of England. Being a member of CaPPP enables practitioners to meet others, to share thoughts about their work and to feel connected with people doing similar work. Private practice can sometimes be a lonely occupation. CaPPP members are able to network via CaPPPchat an email service which enables you to communicate with over 500 CaPPP members, to ask for or share professional information. We organise occasional Community Meet-up meetings and online Open Space meetings to explore shared professional concerns and interests. We offer a programme of continuing professional development workshops which aim to provide stimulating approaches and ideas that can be applied to practice. We also hold an annual gathering which explores a topical theme and is free for members. As CaPPP is a not-for-profit organisation* the aim is to keep all events at the lowest possible cost. JCK Champions Karate is a community based club situated in Redland only 10min away from the centre of Bristol. We offer instruction in traditional self-defence karate, Olympic recognised sport karate and also general fitness for all. Our instruction is through various games which makes each practice fun but competitive and confidence boosting for everyone in line with our values. At JCK there is a game for every karate technique. We give special attention to each and every one of our students and push them all the way to achieve their goals whilst providing the support they need throughout their journey. For those interested in competing, we offer a clear confidence boosting path. Students can start from local club competitions all the way to international competitions. We have experienced instructors who have competed at the highest level and also have international coaching experience to coach you to success. Hello! I am Samantha Dholakia, the founder of SPD Tuition and Coaching and creator of The Behaviour Balance System© (TBBS) and The Behaviour Bank© (TBB). I am an Executive Coach and mentor, Neurolinguistic Programmer and Consultant Trainer. With over 15 years experience in the education sector, I have worked in multiple managerial and leadership roles, including deputy head, RMT consultant trainer, educational consultant and accredited CPD creation for companies such as Twinkle and TTS. I am the host of @spdtuitionandcoaching which supports thousands of parents and teachers daily with behaviour strategies and wellbeing support, and in 2020 I set up our SPD children’s Confidence and Communications Coaching Programme, of which I could not be prouder. A fair society where socially excluded people are supported to obtain skills, qualifications and employment to build sustainable, independent lives contributing positively to society History: At its foundation, The Restore Trust was set up in 2009 by the current CEO Suzanne Thompson and SMT board of Avon & Somerset Probation Trust, in conjunction with the National Offender Management Service. The organisation was registered as an independent VCSE in 2010 and is managed by an excellent board of trustees. Whilst the organisation retains a specialism in working with people with complex needs and criminal convictions, it can work with anyone in the community who is experiencing barriers in accessing training and employment. Many of our clients have complex needs in relation to homelessness, mental health problems, drug/alcohol dependency and offending behaviour. We pride ourselves on our non-judgemental, person-centred approach in our work with clients that builds their confidence, motivation and helps to inspire change in their lives. Together, with the crucial help of our like-minded staff – we created Lexia. A community that has taken phenomenal steps, towards creating positive and long-lasting outcomes, for vulnerable and disadvantaged children across the Southwest. Partnering with local authorities, alternative educators, and specialist provisions, Lexia are able to intervene by mentoring and training new talent. We are committed to inspiring a generation of young people, to explore the impact they can make in the special education sector. We advocate for young people who may have overcome their own challenging life experiences and adversities. This group of passionate individuals has proven themselves to be some of the most relatable and engaging young people you will ever come across. The Diocese of Bristol is the Church of England across Bristol, South Gloucester, North Wiltshire and Swindon. There are 30,000 people worshipping regularly in more than 200 churches, led by hundreds of clergy serving within seven deaneries. Around 15,000 children and young people attend our 72 church schools, while chaplains serve in institutions across our region. Our bishops lead and oversee the Church in the Diocese of Bristol. Rt Revd Vivienne Faull is the 56th Bishop of Bristol and was consecrated Bishop at a service at St Pauls Cathedral in July 2018. She was installed as the 56th Bishop of Bristol at Bristol Cathedral on 20 October 2018 and introduced as a Lord Spiritual at the House of Lords on 23 October. Rt Revd Dr Lee Rayfield, the Bishop of Swindon, supports the role of the Diocesan Bishop. He works across the diocese alongside his community leadership role in Swindon. We are shaping a new vision and set of priorities for the coming years in a 12-month process called Transforming Church. Together. We want to understand what we do well, what we can change for the better and how to create a positive way forward together. Between February and April 2021 we will be talking and listening to lots of different people, from both inside and outside the church. As part of the Church of England, we are participating in the Renewal and Reform Programme in a variety of ways.
