Open Lens Media is a Youth Training and Development organisation providing courses, training programmes, projects and workshops in Media and Communication to young people stemming from underrepresented and hard to reach backgrounds. We specialise in working closely with children and young people between the ages of 11-15 and 16-29 to deliver engaging and progressive programmes that enable them to successfully transition into further education, employment and training or develop their entrepreneurial skills. We achieve this through delivering tailored engagement and pre-employability programmes that use Media as an engagement tool to support young people in developing their confidence, social & communication skills.

Our Aims and Objectives are to provide education and training opportunities for low profile adults to improve their literacy skills to help them get opportunities and improve career prospects.We also work with local higher education colleges referring them local and international students in variety of subjects. MCET welcome all 19+ learners, whether you are early school leaver, recent immigrant, between jobs or unemployed or looking to change profession; there is a right course with valuable advice and support service available for you. There are variety of courses available to suit every individual needs giving you the basic qualification to demanded by institutions of further education as well as employers. The staff at MCET is supportive and multilingual if you have difficulties in language. There are presently three centres in the Birmingham area and two more will be opening soon following demand in the community. All centres are situated in different areas delivering the same array of course in their specified boundary.
