A very warm welcome to Tudor Grange Academy Kingshurst. We are a large academy serving a large community of students in year seven to year thirteen and it is my privilege to introduce myself as the new Principal. I joined Tudor Grange Academies Trust in 2015 as College Leader at Tudor Grange Academy Redditch. Since then, I have worked across multiple Tudor Grange sites in a school improvement guise. The Trust, as at September 2021, is a Trust of twelve schools: five secondary, one all through academy and five primary academies. The core vision of the Trust is to develop a Multi Academy Trust of four self-sufficient geographical hubs: Solihull, Worcestershire, Warwickshire and the East Midlands. I have been working with, and at Tudor Grange Academy Kingshurst, since 2017 as part of the senior team here and have led, alongside the whole staff body the school improvement journey. My intention is to offer long-term commitment to a community that deserves the best for its young people. This school is special, and it is my intention, and the intention of the senior team and governors to hold high expectations of all learners by creating a culture of inquisitive and spirited learning coupled with high-quality, extra-curricular and in-school experiences that go beyond the classroom. We want learners at Tudor Grange Academy Kingshurst, to leave with, not only the qualifications they require to make their own choices, but also, as happy, and articulate young people with life- long memories. Young people who have developed skills and responsible attributes that will allow them to be successful happy adults. Our school is staffed by a team of fantastic teachers and support staff, who are committed to learning and ensuring the very best opportunities for our students. Future Golf CIC was formed in 2018 by PGA Professional, and community Multi Sports Coach, Greg Lynch. Our vision is to make the sport of golf more inclusive to all; regardless of age, gender, religion, or ability. We will engage with young people across Birmingham and the West Midlands using golf and an array of Multi-Sports, to ensure that they benefit from the physical, mental and social health benefits that sport has to offer. We will achieve this vision by delivering innovative ‘golf and multi sports themed projects’ out in our local communities, working in partnership with local schools, councils, sports companies and other like minded community organisations.

We help young people develop skills in digital journalism, video, audio and creative writing. We run an Online Development Programme (ODP) with editorial mentoring to help writers develop in mobile journalism and feature article writing. IF you are interested in the ODP, get in touch. Annually we hold a literature festival encouraging the development of new authors and promoting talent in this arena. We will be developing future courses in many genres including animation and audio dramas.

At this point Sam Kiernan, a qualified play therapist and counsellor with twenty years’ experience, Claire Mullane a seasoned Child Protection lawyer and Gemma Mattison a qualified Social Worker came together to bridge that gap. When it comes to supporting young people, we understand you will want to ensure you choose the right service. We know that good mental health impacts on all aspects of life and mental health services are under strain often leaving vulnerable children on long waiting lists to get the help they require, we aim to provide support quickly, when needed.

Enabling people live, learn and share to build a brighter future in mind, body and spirit.Henrietta was the manager of a multi-agency youth offending team (YOT). Her passion lies in working with and advocating for, families and children who may be isolated by and discriminated through disability or disadvantage. As YOT Manager she obtained funding for specialist Speech and Language Therapy input, a successful innovation which was taken up UK-wide. Working closely with the speech, language and communication consultant has provided Henrietta with additional skills and understanding around the complexity of communication and language and its impact on educational outcomes and behaviour, she has also had direct experience of working with Deaf Young people. She strongly believes that every child has the right to access language and should be given the very best opportunity to achieve their maximum potential and be able to provide a positive contribution.
