Our aim is to cradle you with support to empower you in your parenting journey.Meet Emily I am a registered Children’s nurse and a specialist community public health nurse. I have worked in a variety of nursing settings since qualifying in 2010. I now have 3 children aged 4 years and under! Whilst sat feeling lonely and bored at a baby group in what appeared to be some old town hall I started to question things. This wasn’t me and there must be something better. I consider myself to be very friendly, approachable, and bubbly. I really enjoy socialising with my friends and now due to one thing or another my best friends are placed across the country! We meet every month or so and support each other. We share stories, including the wins and fails of motherhood. Or sometimes it’s nice to not always talk about being a mum! Being a nurse and having my professional knowledge and experience friends would sometimes reach out to me for advice. The Cradle Club was developed with all this in mind and offers as little or as much as you want from it. From just wanting a coffee somewhere nice with other mums, to bespoke professional support and guidance. While Emily is both a Registered Children’s Nurse and Health Visitor and as such, adheres to the NMC’s revalidation requirements, she will not be acting as a registered nurse during her work with The Cradle Club.

End point assessments are the final tests given to an apprentice during their apprenticeship. The goal of this activity is to offer an impartial, objective review of individual skills, knowledge, and behaviours. Although the activities are different for each apprenticeship, end-point assessments follow the same general structures. The end-point assessment is performed after a minimum of 12 months after the start of the apprenticeship. It must be successfully completed before the issuance of an apprenticeship completion certificate. Every training provider delivering on Apprenticeship standards must have an agreement with an End Point Assessment Organisation (EPAO). Assessment Organisations must be registered on the Government approved register (RoEPAO). If you have apprentices in the life science, chemical science, physical science or in the science education sector, our fair and straight-forward EPA process provides a cost effective, quality-assured assessment solution for your business. Assessment plans are delivered by the training provider with guidance from the EPAO. This provides structure to the EPA and signposts our assessors to maximise our assessment opportunities. End point assessments remove managers being the sole decision-makers on the competencies of a candidate. Although, that change can be challenging for some, working with our team ensures that your assessment plan achieves the best possible outcome. Our assessment team are flexible and will rapidly understand the requirements of your business. We will partner with you to give your apprentices the best possible chance to shine and demonstrate their competencies. As Inspiring Maths Education, I’m continuing my extensive 20+ year track record supporting primary and secondary schools to improve and develop the quality of teaching and learning with a specific focus on mathematics. This includes providing high quality, bespoke subject specific training, support, advice, consultancy and professional development across the country and internationally. As an independent consultant, I wear a number of hats working for a variety of organisations. I am an accredited professional lead for the National Centre for the Excellence in Teaching Mathematics (NCETM). I am a work group lead for NCETM Maths Hubs across the Midlands: North Midlands (NM) and East Midlands West (EMW). These look at Mastery Readiness, Developing Teaching for Mastery, SKTM for TAs and ECTs in the primary phase, as well as Y5-8 continuity. As an associate lecturer at Sheffield Hallam University, I work with student teachers at the very start of their careers in teaching as both an academic mentor and lecturer. I am a School Development Lead for ARK Curriculum Mathematics Mastery programme visiting schools to support them in their mastery journey. I deliver mathematics training for Teachers’ Courses and Resources (TCR) in Staffordshire, offering a range of CPD opportunities both face to face and remotely which allows me to work with teachers both in this country and beyond. During the academic year 2020-2021, NFEC held a number of online seminars which focussed on preparing for the launch in September 2022 of the three T-Levels planned for the Engineering sector; T Level technical qualification in Design and Development for Engineering and Manufacturing T Level technical qualification in Maintenance, Installation and Repair for Engineering and Manufacturing T Level technical qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, Processing and Control During the course of these webinars it became clear that one of the foremost challenges facing NFEC members in delivering the new T-Levels would be in the sourcing, management and measurement of the substantial work placements of 315 hours which form part of the overall T-Level qualification. NFEC committed to collate some case studies, contributed from NFEC member colleges to illustrate the strategies that had been employed so far to build capacity for work placements, ahead of T-Level launch, and to provide shared resources to aid all members in their own planning and implementation. The report which has resulted consists of three cases studies and shared resources from three NFEC member colleges representing various settings, geographies and demographics.
