I would like to thank you for taking time to visit us online and wish you a very warm welcome to the Malmesbury School website. I am delighted to be the Headteacher of Malmesbury School. The school’s long tradition of exceptional work with young people, in a caring and nurturing environment, places it amongst the very best schools in the country. I have a strong connection to the school, having worked here in the past as a faculty head for International Business and Languages. I then left Malmesbury to become an Assistant Headteacher at Balcarras School, in Cheltenham. Having a focus on Key Stage 5 enabled me to lead the sixth form from strength to strength. Before my exciting return to Malmesbury as Headteacher, I was the sole Deputy Headteacher at Burford School, one of very few state boarding schools in the country.

The Springburn Harriers Club was instituted in 1893 as a general amateur athletic club, but concentrated on cross-country running. (‘Harrier’ is the name of a small beagle-like dog used for hare-coursing). The diamond-shaped emblem used by the club was an adaptation of the trademark of the Springburn locomotive works. In its early years, the club met at its first training headquarters, the public baths in Kay Street. Saturday pack runs began from here at 3pm. Within six years, the club moved to Auchinairn and opened its own pavilion, the first harrier club in Scotland to do so. In 1930 they moved again, to a new clubhouse, but financial pressure forced this to be given up in 1973. The club’s current headquarters is Huntershill Sports Hub on Auchinairn Road.

She has been into handling cases with academic, socio- motor, sensory difficulties especially children with ASD, ADHD, LD & ID for the past 11 years in special school & psychiatric clinic set up. She had been Asstt Professor in RCI training college and Guest Faculty for various institutions like IIT Kharagpur ( Adaptive Devices in Special Needs ) for ASD (both at SPl D.Ed & B.Ed level ) for 9 years. She has been approved as a speaker on several international events such as Oxford Education Research Symposium and 5th International Conference on Advanced Research in Education held in Cambridge (UK). She has experience with Teacher Training through webinars and workshops bringing attention to topics such as pedagogical theories, lesson-planning, neuroscience, language teaching and several others.
