We believe that each and every child that wishes to access the club should be treated as an individual, and have the opportunity to access high quality coaching, which is stimulating, but at the same time challenging and progressive within all sessions that we provide. The club is fully insured through our National Governing Body British Gymnastics, and is affiliated to both the East Midlands Gymnastics Association and the Nottinghamshire County Gymnastics Association. All members of our team hold British Gymnastics coaching awards, are insured through British Gymnastics, and have obtained a clear DBS check. A First Aider is also present at all sessions that we provide. Our team is very proud of what we achieve as a club, and this is down to our gymnasts understanding our saying ‘the harder I work, the luckier I get’, and the self belief, hard work and determination our gymnasts put in to all their sessions.

Welcome to Tolworth Gymnastics Club. Tolworth Gymnastics Club has been teaching gymnastics to all ages and levels since 1981. With state of the art facilities and highly experienced coaching staff, members are trained in an enjoyable and safe environment to meet their maximum potential. Through structured instruction, our members show progress in many key developmental areas. Gymnastics will build physical fitness, flexibility, body awareness, co-ordination, confidence, and is also hugely challenging, creative and fun. If our car park is full we do have the overspill car park opposite the school (TGC sticker in window please). We pay for this facility out of school hours. There is also a car park to the rear of the gym but this is pay and display.

Cambridge Gymnastics Academy CIC is a non-profit organisation, which was founded in May 2012. The company Director Kayleigh Plaza, had a vision to provide affordable gymnastics for all, no matter age, gender, income or ability/disability. The club has since evolved and with an incredibly dedicated staff team, together fundraised, saved and received grants from both the Council and Sport England totalling £250,000. In May 2016, CGA opened its doors to a dedicated facility at North Cambridge Academy. CGA prides itself on being a hub for the community. Sessions are available from 6 week old babies to adult, from recreational to elite, with the lowest priced classes in the area and we even offer a 10% discount for people on means tested benefits. After our pre-school classes, we offer free refreshments so families can build relationships with others. We offer classes for minority groups such as women’s only, over 50’s and specially designed disability sessions. We are an inclusive club, so in the evenings children with disabilities join in with our normal recreational sessions. We deliver curriculum support to the NCA students and run a youth night on a Friday evening to provide local young people with a safe environment. In 2017 our success & hard work was recognised by British Gymnastics and we were selected as 1 of 3 clubs in the whole of the UK to be shortlisted for the award ‘British Gymnastics Club of the Year’. Following this success CGA were also awarded the 2017 winners of the ‘Living Sports Community Club of the Year’ fighting off strong competition from sports clubs across Cambridgeshire. Both huge achievements for the club. The club is a registered member of both British Gymnastics and Eastern Counties Gymnastics Association and has a number of fully qualified coaches & judges up to National Level who are DBS checked, safeguard & first aid qualified.

As we all know, this year has been incredibly hard for individuals and businesses alike, and our club has been no exception. With the gymnasts in mind, we have looked at all of our options for continuing to offer the children the very best gymnastics provision we can, and so we are incredibly excited to announce that from the new year, your child will be a part of Nile Wilson Gymnastics. Olympian Nile Wilson is leaving a huge legacy in the world of gymnastics by opening the doors to clubs, with the goal of allowing as many children to experience gymnastics as possible, at all levels, by delivering unique and engaging activities. (If you haven’t yet – go and check out his YouTube channel!) With the Nile Wilson team comes brilliant opportunities for all the gymnasts in the club, and we can’t wait to see what the future brings. We know that you may have some questions and we’ve tried to answer some below: What changes does this mean for my child? Right now, there are no changes to the running of the club – you will see all the same familiar faces when you come in, and your class times and payments are staying the same. When is the Christmas break? Our Christmas close-down period remains the same – 19th December – 1st January. The club will re-open in January as Nile Wilson Gymnastics Coventry. All communication regarding future close-down periods will be communicated in due course. Do I need to do anything? No. All direct debits will stay in place ready for January and your child’s session time won’t change. Just have a wonderful Christmas and come back in the new year ready to go! . We wanted to create an inclusive, affordable and friendly club where every child is able to access and try gymnastics. We also have a lovely mezzanine area with a café serving hot and cold drinks and snacks too for families to enjoy should you choose to stay during your child lesson. We aren’t particularly competition focused but do partake in local inter club competitions and run in house comps too. There are however some amazing clubs in the area which are so if that’s more what you are looking for, for your child then please do message us and we can point you in the right direction. We have classes for children aged 4+ on a Monday – Friday evening from 3:40pm onwards and a Saturday morning too! Pre-school sessions are Monday – Friday during the day. Children are placed in classes based on their ability rather than age so we invite new starters in for two initial trial sessions before enrolling them into the club We do only run term-time only and run Holiday camp sessions during the 6 weeks holidays and during most half terms too! We also have a beautiful venue for Birthday Parties with a lovely mezzanine floor area for food. O U R S T O R Y . In October 2016 after leaving a managers position in the leisure industry, I set up Tumbles with just two classes. I had taught gymnastics, trampolining and swimming in the leisure industry for over 5 years and after doing a variety of roles within the sector, I realised coaching gymnastics really was my passion. Demand for spaces grew and so did our waiting list, so over our first year we continued to expanded. We were lucky enough to secure our own premises in January 2019 which was a huge positive for our club and members. With more space and flexibility in the timetable we doubled our classes and are now able to run over 30 classes per week on a Monday – Friday evening, Saturday morning and also during the day for parent supervised per-school sessions. We have a wonderful team of coaches, assistant coaches and cafe staff, we are all extremely proud of the club we have created and are super excited to continue to expand and grow as a club. We love being able to provide a safe and friendly place for children in the local community to benefit from.
