Welcome to Matthew Arnold School. Welcome to our school website. I am very pleased to introduce myself as Headteacher here at Matthew Arnold School. I have been part of the school community since 2013 as Deputy Head and 2021 as Headteacher as well as a parent of children at the school. During those years, two things have always stood out about the school: Firstly, the students are wonderful ambassadors for the school and their community. Keen to learn and develop their approach to learning, they are never shy to ask questions or to challenge the status quo. Secondly, the staff demonstrate their commitment every day to ensuring our students can thrive in the school, both academically and socially. Our calm and purposeful environment prepares students for the exciting life choices we support them to make at the end of their time with us. Our vision of ‘Success for Everyone’ is central to everything we do at school; from designing the curriculum, to the exciting extra curricular activities and enrichment visits on offer, to the highest standards of teaching and learning. Our names are Leah & Molly, we’re the founders of Little Turtles. Both of us have worked with children for 6 years+, both worked in a creche followed by both becoming childminders and how we actually met each other! We have a huge passion working with children and thoroughly enjoy our jobs as childminders. We both knew we wanted to work with children and build something of our own, after months of thinking and eventually planning, we created Little Turtles, parent, baby and toddler classes! We are both fully qualified in Early Childhood Care & Education Level 5, whilst Leah is currently studying her QQI Level 6 Childcare with Montessori. We are both fully qualified in First Aid & Fire Safety Training, Manual Handling, Food Safety and Children First with Tusla. We love working with children and find it such a rewarding job, working as a childminder and watching the children you work with grow and learn every day is amazing. So we want to put all our love, energy and passion into opening these classes for your children, we want to create a fun and friendly environment for you all! We would love to see you all grow and learn every day! So please, come along with us on this journey and I promise you won’t regret it. Dunfermline High School is a six year comprehensive school with a roll of approximately 1600 pupils. Our current associate primary school community includes Canmore PS, Commercial PS, Limekilns PS, St. Leonard’s PS, Masterton PS and Pitreavie PS. In addition, we work with many families who choose to send their children here on placing requests.
