Situated in the heart of the community of Driffield, we are a unique and special place to learn. ‘Learning for Life’ is the foundation of all we do at Kings Mill and underpins our whole curriculum from Early Years through to Sixth form. The school caters for pupils aged 2-19 years. We are on two sites. The main school site houses Early Years through to Key Stage 4. The school was completed in May 2017 and has been purpose built to meet the needs of our pupils. Alongside eleven new classrooms we also have a new hydrotherapy pool, rebound room, sensory therapy room and sensory rooms. Students aged 16-19 are based at The Kings Mill Student Centre which is based at Driffield Secondary School approximately a mile away from the main site. This comprises three classrooms and a combined common room and food technology area. There is also opportunity for joint working with Driffield School. Our sixth form students also visit main site to access the facilities as required. All our pupils and students have complex needs and we offer specialist provision for pupils on the autistic spectrum and pupils with multi-sensory needs. Our curriculum principles and ethos are supported by a wide range of activities which happen on and off site. Sport plays a very important role in the life of the school and we believe in encouraging healthy competition and leadership skills. Winner of the Gold Award - Dance School of the Year 2021 Maida Vale Ballet School was set up to offer the best quality dance education, accessible to all. The school has been recognised by the Council for Dance Education and Training, being awarded their certificate of good professional practice. This means that the school adheres to very strict guidelines with regards to the safety and welfare of its students and the quality of training offered by all members of staff. We take great care to make sure that dance is a fun activity for all students, helping with early years development, musicality, strength, posture and concentration. Developing skills which will benefit children throughout their lives regardless of whether they decide to dance as a profession. For any children who do show the talent and desire to pursue a career in the industry there are many opportunities to audition for a variety of additional programmes. She wanted to try something different in high school and was introduced to contemporary dance. An amateur girl was performing on the dance team. During her early years at university, the latin rhythm and culture took her to a different path. She took different latin dance lessons such as salsa, bachata, zumba, kizomba, cha cha, pasodoble. She participated in international dance workshops / training camps and competitions. Later she realized that she had more fun and satisfaction while teaching, she decided to pass on her knowledge to people. That's why she got a dance instructor certificate in Salsa with the encouragement of her instructors. Since then she has been teaching dance at both dance studios and international festivals.

My name is Alice Liley and I run the Tumble Tots franchise in the Worthing area. Classes have been hosted here for over 30 years and I have been leading since 2020. I brought my own son to Tumble Tots in 2013 and immediately fell in love with the Tumble Tots programme. I watched as my son developed confidence, self esteem and the essential skills of agility, balance, climbing and co-ordination that are so important in the early years. We had such fun together that when the opportunity arrived to lead other families and children through the programme I jumped, with both feet, at it!
