After the initial research Michelle worked with clinicians and specialists in the field of oncology and medicine to understand what we could do and how complementary therapies could be utilised more effectively for those living with dis-ease and life limiting health conditions. Now an active ambassador for integrative health and lifestyle medicine, Michelle works alongside numerous charities and health focused organisations to bring the pillars of wellness front and center. Prior to launching tpot, Michelle was responsible for leading, educating and designing luxury spa, health and wellness teams and brands around the world. Building on her initial and multi-disciplined range of clinical complementary therapy skills. In addition to leading and evolving tpot (something she has always proudly called her passion project), Michelle spent 7 years curating the health and wellness concept and experiences, through design and deliverables, throughout the Pegasus Life community living portfolio - with the aim of revolutionising retirement living in the UK. North Tyneside Music Education hub engages with all 76 schools in North Tyneside. As well as ensuring that over 9,500 young people regularly engage in our wider opportunities whole-class tuition programme each year, we also support a network of self-employed music teachers who deliver small-group and individual instrumental lessons in schools. CPD We run programmes of CPD for music teachers and associated staff, provide curriculum support and design services and are always on hand to advise schools on how to make music provision the best it can be in each individual setting. Tutors Our team of NTMEH tutors also work to lead and support ensembles and choirs ran in schools, with over 3,000 young people regularly taking part in extra-curricular musical activities across the borough each year. Young Musicians Over 5,000 young musicians are regularly involved in our North Tyneside based hub events each year, and we also provide further opportunities for our young people to engage in other regional and national events with the support of our broad network of partners. Music Centre NTMEH Music Centre provides over 300 young people with the weekly opportunity to attend a wide range of bands, orchestras, choirs and a music theory group. All of these activities are free of charge. We also facilitate the Youth Music funded Standing Upright project, which provides access to musical opportunities for disadvantaged young people from across the borough, offering them the opportunity to work towards Arts Award qualifications and to train to become a NTMEH Young Leader. Who : Creative Catalyst (Scotland) CIC is a social enterprise which supports young people into Creative Careers. After establishing and running a similar two year pilot project for young creatives as part of the lead up to Perth Creative Exchange and The Famous Grouse Ideas Centre opening , founding director Helen O’Brien decided to take the model of this project forward as a social enterprise. In September 2019 we successfully received ‘Start It’ funding from Firstport, and moved into our new studio at Perth Creative Exchange in November 2019. We have just received Firstport ‘Build It’ funding to support and embed our development in 2021-22. We offer creative employability opportunities for young people who face barriers to employment and training in Perth & Kinross. This project is specifically targeted at young creative individuals who need support to develop their confidence in their creative skills and abilities, and signpost to other opportunities and experiences that will support them with next steps of a creative career. We work alongside other 16+ support agencies in Perth & Kinross who refer young people to us, and we welcome individuals and support workers to contact us directly. How: We offer work experience and mentoring opportunities with professional artists and makers who run live creative projects for us, from design and prototyping an idea, to making a final product, marketing and selling; visit shop here. These projects develop a broad spectrum of practical creative and transferable skills including using imagination, problem solving, clear communication, persistence, self discipline, collaboration and working to a deadline. We also run creative workshops and programmes for children, families and communities which offer opportunities for our young people to work alongside a lead artist to gain confidence and experience of delivering projects with different age groups.

YOU HAVE TO START SOMEWHERE! I set up my first business at the age of 17; buying pizzas from a local factory and selling them to hungry students at my college. Not groundbreaking by any means, but it taught me a huge amount about business, and paid for my social life, as well as funding a modest expansion in the form of a chest freezer, delivery bike and eventually a van. More importantly, this little pizza business gave me the knowledge and confidence to develop my next idea. COMPETING WITH FILOFAX At 19, I designed and manufactured a range of products to compete with the global brand ‘Filofax’ (for those who remember them). My first order (from WH-Smith) was manufactured in a rented bedroom in Tring, Hertfordshire, and the business quickly grew big enough to win several innovation and business awards. Within 18 months the range sold through many major UK and European retailers, including Liberty’s and Selfridges, as well as being used as commercial folders and gifts by brands like Mercedes Benz and Shell Oil. GROWING COMPANIES Since selling that brand at 22, I’ve grown several businesses with the majority of the last 25+ years running and owning companies in the branding, design, marketing and business development sector. From turning 2 people working from a bedroom making very little to a 30 headcount agency turning over £2.5m through to a 20 person agency in London to have 400 people in offices all over the world. Always with a focus on growth and working closely with my clients, it is here that I have advised many hundreds of different companies on their positioning, brand, marketing, customer development, growth and efficiency.

Business English Program started at the instance of US AID in the year 1989-1990 for 16 and 17 grade officers who wanted to avail the scholarships which otherwise went un-utilized. The maximum amount of scholarships was availed by the candidates who prepared at the IBA to get the required scores in GRE and TOEFL. Later, the Russian Government wanted to give exposure to their employees, therefore, they were sent to this program to learn the English Language. Immediately after that the department started catering to under graduate Pakistani students to develop and enhance their skills in English, Mathematics and General Knowledge. The Business English Program commenced in the year 1998 and has proved to be a sought after program by professionals in the Junior & Middle Executive cadre. In 2013, the department with its new name enhanced its offering and conducted several new courses. These programs are skills based and targeted towards executives, professionals, business owners, teachers, school leaders and students working in various work spheres to enhance their analytic and technical skills set. For Every Cloud was established by Donna Vale in 2013, a creative venue based in Langport, a small town in the heart of the Somerset levels. Having graduated with a first class honors degree in art and textiles I wanted to create a space where people can learn, have fun, relax and make friends, this is really important but I also wanted an environment where visitors wouldn’t feel overwhelmed. My business mission statement ‘where friendship and creativity meet’ sums up the ethos of what we do at For Every Cloud. A shop and gallery stocking local art and craft features alongside my own. Workshops are held in the gallery space and studio, which is also used to teach screen printing. Both spaces can be hired by tutors and artists alike utilising their skills to teach popular classes such as needle felting. The workshop list is varied and attracts people from as far as London, France and Denmark who come with friends and family to stay in this beautiful part of the country, booking days to make and take… and of course have tea and cake. From experimental textiles to bookbinding, etching with Perspex to calligraphy, there is something here for everyone. I work alongside local B&B’s and cafes to provide an all round experience, offering bespoke events for hen parties, corporate functions and children’s birthdays and more recently, a summer school for adults. As well as workshops I create bespoke calligraphy and stationery for weddings, sublimation printing for personalised gifts. A signmaking service is also available for all your business and personal needs.
