Karen loves teaching people in all stages of life how to relax and feel better. She is also in her element supporting pregnant women and new mums. Karen Lawrence holds a Yoga Alliance recognised specialist qualification as a Yin and Restorative Yoga Instructor. She has also completed full training recognised by the Federation of Antenatal Educators which qualifies her to teach Pregnancy, Postnatal and Mother and Baby Yoga. Karen is a qualified professional Reflexologist, specialising in holistic therapy for pregnancy, menopause and women’s health. She has completed accredited training in Closing the Bones and Postnatal Recovery Massage. Karen holds a qualification in Aromatherapy for Birth. She has trained with MAM as a Three Step Rewind practitioner. She is a qualified Baby Massage instructor and a trained sound therapist. Karen is a Registered Midwife and Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (Health Visitor), although she is no longer actively working in these roles. She is currently working part time as a registered health professional in the Covid 19 vaccinations programme. Karen believes in a gentle, holistic and compassionate approach to yoga, parenting and life in general. Yoga and meditation have helped her cope with some of the challenges of being a midwife, a health visitor, a mother and simply a human being. Karen loves to care for carers. Karen has a daughter with special needs. She knows all about the pressures of caring for others, both personally and professionally. Karen understands how important it is for carers to be able to rest and relax. Many people with heavy caring responsibilities come to The Calm Space for rest, empathy and relaxation.

We are specialist installers of Ultraline, the award-winning UK-made minimal sliding door system.A remarkable system with visual, thermal, security and functional benefits, made in the UK.My wife and I are absolutely thrilled with our two-pane Ultraline sliding patio doors - even more beautiful then we were expecting and the minimal sightlines are quite breath-taking - they have really brought the garden into our home. There were very few companies that we could find who could make a two-pane system of that size. Certainly not an inexpensive product, but good value compared to some others and worth every penny. I think I will stare at those doors for years to come. Dan was really helpful throughout the process over several months, sending me numerous videos, photos and other information to help me understand certain aspects of the product and installation. The fitters were amazing too - they did a fantastic job and were friendly, helpful, polite and careful throughout. My earliest memories are of helping my  Grandmother in her potting shed with her African Violets. The most treasured are walking amongst her beautiful Rose Garden with it's heady scents and gorgeous blooms.  Those memories combine together with the privilege of being a daughter of a Artisan Jeweler.  I would often sit with my  Father in his  workshop and loved watching the process,  from start to finish.  From  drawing the design to  moulding the piece from the bare elements to creating  something truly beautiful with his hands.  From this,  I have developed the utmost respect for handmade articles and as such it is my  joy to create, teach and inspire Floristry, arts and crafts related pieces in a  relaxed and informal way  Everyone is welcome no matter the skill level from novice to advanced.   With a little direction and encouragement  each student is often very pleased and most certainly proud of their achievement🤩

Mark has an outstanding career as a teacher to primary age children. He graduated from his BEd (Bachelor of Education) degree with first class honours – the highest achievable grade. He then successfully completed a PhD in education, specialising in the ways children learn. As you can tell, he is very committed to providing the very highest level of education possible. His achievements were recognised by a very prestigious private school in Cheltenham, where he currently teaches students in year 1. However, qualifications by themselves don’t make an outstanding teacher and Mark understands and appreciates that children need a safe and friendly environment in which to learn. This attitude has made him a firm favourite amongst his pupils, and helps him to ensure that children want to learn. Outside of his work life Mark is very much a family man.
