Already the commonest cause of loss of life under the age of 40 the burden of trauma is set to increase in the next 20 years. Taking a global view of 'life years lost' through premature death and disability, injury will be in 2nd place in 2020. A lot of the tragedies represented in these staggering statistics are preventable but in the UK, as elsewhere, there is also unnecessary mortality directly due to inadequacies in the organisation and delivery of care. In the 1980s, research in North America identified the causes of these failures and in 1988 a working party chaired by Professor Sir Miles Irving at the Royal College of Surgeons of England drew remarkably similar conclusions. The College recommended changes in trauma management which included: Enhancing pre-hospital care, ensuring appropriate medical intervention Rapid transfer to the best local facility Assessing the use of helicopters Adopting ATLS principles Integrating trauma services within and between hospitals Investing in rehabilitation services Auditing and Researching injury and systems of care

At first I followed the standard path, doing a coaching qualification, learning NLP, NVC, SFBT and lots of other CPD (not to mention my degree which was 50% business studies). Then I found the 3 Principles which bridged the gap between what I already knew about Non-duality and how I was working with my clients. The evolved into the inside-out understanding I now bring to my clients and blew all the other interventions I used to work with for personal development/life coaching out of the water. Once you understand this truth it’s impossible to forget about it, so it’s naturally become a big part of the way I work whether I’m working with you personally, or on your profession. A similar evolution occurred with my Business Coaching model – it’s blossomed into something which reflects what is important to me. As you can probably tell I care a lot. Some would say too much. I care about sustainable business – for the planet, the animals, the people who make our clothes and post our parcels. Our aim is to make a difference to the lives of children and young people aged 8-18 years with a range of needs. Aspire Scotland is part of Aspris Children’s Services and offers specialist care and/or education services across Ayrshire. We support children and young people aged 8-18 years with a range of complex needs. This includes an autistic spectrum disorder (ASD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), child sexual exploitation (CSE), emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD), and other behaviours that may challenge. At Aspire Scotland, we provide high quality care and education in safe and nurturing environments, taking full account of national standards and quality indicators. This is further emphasised by six of our children’s homes being graded as either ‘5 – Very Good’ or ‘6 – Excellent’, during their latest inspection from the Care Inspectorate. We work in partnership with families and Local Authorities to achieve the best possible outcomes. The range of services that we provide at Aspire Scotland include: Bespoke care packages and individually tailored education services provided by Aspire Scotland’s education facility, based in Kilbirnie. The campus also includes a café. Residential homes with rural environments, offering therapeutic and spacious surroundings. Experienced staff teams with staff ratios reflecting the needs of the young people, offering various levels of support and a 24-hour waking service. Access to external community support, including CAMHS, therapists and counsellors A wide range of planned activities and work experience opportunities.

Welcome, I’m Aimee. A bit about me. My business started out offering Hypnobirthing classes, which I provide in a group setting or on a 1:1 basis. I love teaching Hypnobirthing and delivering real and honest birth preparation to aid a calmer, more confident and empowered birth team. I then trained in a midwifery capacity to offer complementary therapies for pregnancy and the newly postnatal period, such as aromatherapy massage, reflexology and moxibustion to turn breech babies. I have a keen interest in the biomechanics of birth and aiding an optimal fetal position ready for birth. What the female body can do fascinates me! I have developed many signature treatments, including my well loved ‘Prepare for Birth’ treatment. Practising holistically ignited a passion within. Previously known as ‘Little Peacock Holistic Birth’, I was keen to expand my services further into the world of women’s health offering a vital service for local women. Therefore ‘WomanKind Holistic Health’ was born! I have since trained in aromatherapeutic body massage and massage for menopause, and I am FHT accredited. I have lots of exciting services coming in the near future such as womb & fertility massage, scar therapy, and clinical aromatherapy. I believe that complementary therapies are there to complement traditional health care, maintaining and enhancing health and wellbeing. I never claim to cure. When I am not busy being a midwife and running my own business, I am a wife, and mum to 2 amazing boys and 2 Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. I am based in Northallerton, North Yorkshire and welcome people from all the surrounding areas to my beautiful private studio. I can’t wait to meet you!
