FSTC is one of the foremost suppliers of quality Forest School training since 2004 and delivers training throughout England and Scotland. We work with organisations such as The Forestry Commission (FC), Forest Education Network (FEN), Local Education Authorities and Wildlife Trusts. We train professionals such as teachers, Early Years practitioners, Countryside and Education Rangers, youth-workers and policy advisors. Our website is divided into two main sections, Forest School and Training. Oaks Childcare is registered with Ofsted and has been operating since October 2010. We have been recently inspected by ofsted and we were very happy to receive an outstanding report. We are a child minding service which provides full day care for children from three months old. We also offer after school and holiday care. We run our service in the ground floor of our home which is located close to central Croydon and well served by public transport links. We will be registered to care for up to eight children two of which can be under the age of one year. The down stairs of our home is solely used for childcare purposes. We are open from seven thirty to six o'clock, Monday to Friday and one Saturday in three. We will be following the current Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework which is a curriculum from birth to five. Lorna has been a registered childminder in Fleet, Hampshire for 20 years. Looking after children from 0-14 years in her home-based setting. In that time, she has worked alongside her husband Richard for 14 years and now works with her full-time assistant Birgit to care for her childminding children. Lorna has gained a huge amount of experience in that time which she draws upon in her teaching of childcare courses. Lorna’s teaching qualifications include a BA (Hons) in Education (PCET) and the NVQ assessor’s award. She also has ‘Early Years Professional’ (EYP) status for her work as a childminder. Lorna has been teaching for over 15 years and as a childcare tutor has worked for PACEY and Hampshire Learning. She trains childminders, preschool and nursery staff in her local area in small face to face group sessions; and by webinar for all childcare providers both close by and further afield. Lorna visits settings to support staff in raising standards and to undertake Pre-Inspection visits to be able to support the setting waiting for their Ofsted Inspection.

Maree and Charlotte have known each other in a professional capacity for over ten years and are keen to improve the provision for children and young people with SEND by supporting staff within education, health and social care. They are also keen to support parents and carers to navigate SEND processes to enable them to achieve the best possible outcomes for their children. Maree Thorn Maree filter Maree is an experienced teacher and SENCo who has worked in a wide variety of educational settings, including early years, primary, secondary, mainstream and special schools. She is currently commissioned by Bedford Borough Council as a SEND Teaching and Learning Advisor to support and advise local primary schools on their strategic SEND provision. She also provides specialist teaching for children and young people who cannot attend school for a variety of reasons, such as medical needs or school based anxiety. She has a Bachelor’s degree in primary education, Qualified Teacher Status, a Postgraduate Certificate in Special Educational Needs Coordination and has gained the National Award for SEN Co-ordination. She has previous experience of being a school governor, and is currently a trustee for a local charity foundation, sitting on the board of school governors and fostering committee. Maree has experience of supporting senior leaders to review their SEND processes and identify areas in need of improvement within their settings; mentoring and coaching staff to improve their individual practices; and supporting governors and trustees to understand school requirements and their responsibilities. Maree has a diagnosis of ADHD and so fully understands the challenges that people who are neurodivergent can experience. With a family history of special needs, she has long had an interest in ensuring children with SEND are able to achieve their own individual outcomes and giving them the best opportunities for a full and rich life.
