Participants must be competent in written and spoken English (Student are required to undertake a Language, Literacy, and Numeracy test prior to commencing the training). Participants are recommended (but not compulsory) to hold a First Aid certificate (minimum of Level 2) if using a chainsaw. Participants are required to wear sensible work clothes and steel capped boots, and dress according to the weather for their training. Participants are required to bring appropriate sun safety protection. Participants must be physically capable of operating a chainsaw. Participants must be able to physically kneel on the ground & get back up again.

A few words about us at Cyber Benab. We are an online meeting place which aims to increase awareness of cybersecurity through online events, such as weekend bootcamps and intensive training courses. About us Our mission at Cyber Benab is to develop a community of cybersecurity aware enthusiasts and experts with the knowledge to defend critical data and infrastructure for individuals, businesses and government. Dr. Fraser, our Operations Director has developed cybersecurity and computer systems administration training courses for both private sector organisations, such as the Flatiron School in New York, and outreach courses for disadvantaged groups, including retraining for programmes for immigrant engineers at The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art. More recently, he has contributed to cybersecurity workshops as part of Vaugh’s College CSTEP programme which aims to increase access by minority and economically disadvantaged students to academic programs at the college level in scientific and technical fields. Cyber Benab is one of 108 UK security startup companies nominated to take part in the 2021 Cyber Runway accelerator programme which is sponsored by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS). During 2022, Cyber Benab in collaboration with the Digital Policy Alliance and local outreach groups will play a leading role in delivery cybersecurity training to disadvantage groups in the UK starting with the London Borough of Lambeth. Yes, I was just another stressed out west Londoner. Busy-ness and exhaustion was my badge of honour. I was infatuated with agitation. As a journalist, novelist and mother of three, I saw life as an uphill battle to be won. Littered with lists, relentless self-criticism and unfavourable comparison. Until I read Professor Mark Williams book about Mindfulness. Everything he explained was obvious, but had failed to see it without Mindfulness practice. I immediately gained a decisive, calm, spacious joy and so much extra time that dramatically changed the quality of my daily life. After meditating for many years, finally, I took the plunge and went to study at the Oxford Mindfulness Centre, Oxford University. I went on to teacher training with the internationally-acclaimed Mindfulness teachers Martin Alyward and Mark Coleman at the Mindfulness Training Institute. I am a certified teacher with the Mindfulness Training Institute and accredited to International Mindfulness Teachers Association. Once you can bring yourself back to being present, conscious and aware of your moment by moment experience, you can so easily navigate the inevitable difficulties, ups and downs that is the stuff of all of our lives. You have no fear, no anxiety, because you have the ease of knowing you can meet all your experience without resorting to knee-jerk habits and reactions that inevitably hinder rather than help you. Once you see clearly what is going on in your daily life, you can respond wisely, simply and freely without the narratives and stories we tell ourselves and others to try and make sense of ourselves and our experience. I really hope that I will have the opportunity to share this simple, yet life changing practice with you.

As the Managing Director & Lead Trainer of 1st ACT Ltd, my role is to co-ordinate the training, the syllabuses, the trainers and the venues to make your experience the best it can be. We've made changes over the last 10 years, all based on client feedback. My personal First Aid background goes back to 1990, when I joined the British Army and was being trained and fully prepared to serve in the golf war. First Aid is obviously a priority for all our military personnel, but when you feel it could be needed soon, it definitely makes you sit up and listen. At least it did with me, so much so that I wanted to know more and more about the amazing human body. After leaving the forces it appeared to me, to be a natural progression to enter into the Emergency Services, so after a few years with Wiltshire Fire Brigade I moved onto London Fire Brigade in 2000. With our First Aid knowledge and some with training backgrounds, my colleagues and I were asked to assess and then train First Aid for a few large companies based around the South East of England. I setup and established 1st ACT in April 2007 (becoming a Limited Company in April 2015) with the aim of making life saving skills affordable to all without dropping any of the high standards often found in larger organisations. With 1st ACT Ltd you still get the same wealth of experience and high level of training but at prices our competitors simply cannot come close to on Ofqual regulated courses!

Because we exist to help you with your preaching ministry! There are three main ways by which we can do this: through publications, events and training. We're a network of preachers, some experienced and some new to the task, ordained and lay, from different denominations and traditions, drawn together by a shared belief that good preaching matters, who want to help each other fulfil their preaching ministry. We warmly welcome others wanting to join us to develop and share their gifts. To individuals... we offer varied opportunities to enrich preaching, in particular through a variety of resource material - magazine articles, sermons and reviews - in print and on line our events - occasions to meet leading preachers from this and other countries, to attend workshops run by College tutors, and to share fellowship and experiences with other preachers open seminars for basic and more advanced preaching tuition, and discussion of important issues for preachers. We regularly work with... other bodies engaged in the training of clergy and lay preachers, to whom we are able to offer tutors with special skills in different aspects of preaching who can contribute to training programs and events already planned seminars and workshops prepared and run by the College, tailored to meet specific learning needs We believe that... preaching is God's calling faithful preaching is vital to the life of the church and the sharing of the gospel preaching should be fresh, biblical and directly relevant to contemporary experience and events there are different ways of preaching and it is important to explore and develop them all preachers can learn from each other.
