Established in 1984, Dove House, has, for more than 30 years provided many vital services and support to the people of the Bogside, Brandywell and the wider Derry City Council area. The Management Board of Dove House is populated by a number of local residents as well as representation from different sectors including public, private, community & voluntary. Each individual member brings with them an array of skills, experience and knowledge from both a professional and local level. The inclusion of residents in the running and managing of Dove House ensures that all services provided are in line with local need; furthermore, these services are effective in bringing about measurable change in people’s lives. Many organisations throughout the city, for example Conradh na Gaeilge (now the beautiful Cultúrlann Uí Chanáin on Gt. James’ Street), The Nerve Centre, The Gasyard Development Trust, Gasyard Wall Féile and The Bogside & Brandywell Initiative to name a few were embryonic visions which took on a life of their own whilst housed within Dove House. Presently ... Back in the early days, the centre was staffed by a committed, passionate and enthusiastic team of volunteers who provided a range of education and arts classes to local people. Dove House now provides a professional Advice Service to people in need across the Council area; a thriving Youth Club as well as drop-in centre in the city centre; a hub for those wishing to to return to employment or education; advocacy for women suffering domestic abuse; and help with money management. Dove House also works in partnership with other organisations in the area. in its present form has a dedicated team of advisors, who are equally committed and passionate about the local area. The current team work to support families on a low income and those in our community, who are most vulnerable. Information is available on a wide range of programmes? that can help them during a hardship. The range of projects, currently running in Dove House will ensure that the most vulnerable in the community can get assistance that they are entitled to, whether they are disabled or elderly, or experiencing other hardships. The staff will assess what their challenges are and based on the results of that, offer any assistance that they can. I started going to yoga classes when I was just 16, tagging along with my Mum who had been going for years to her favourite teacher Sam. Yoga stayed with me throughout my adolescence, and I always found a class wherever I was, whether at University, on holiday or when I moved away from home. When I settled in Kent, I found an amazing teacher, Rebecca Papa-Adams, who was teaching at my local gym, and I was hooked, I went to yoga several times a week, practiced at home and started becoming interested in the non physical side of yoga. Rebecca convinced me to start my teacher training, even though my immediate plans included marriage and babies. I began my 500 hour teacher training with the British Wheel of Yoga in 2015, shortly after I got married, and unbeknown to me I was already pregnant on the first day of teacher training. I studied for 2.5 years with the British Wheel of Yoga and formed an amazing circle of mentors, teachers and friends throughout that time. I ended up studying and teaching throughout both my pregnancies, which added a whole other dimension to my journey. Seeing the amazing physical and mental effects of yoga whilst being pregnant encouraged me to begin pregnancy teacher training in 2019 soon after my second baby was born; he even joined me on my teacher training days. Yoga provides a lot of different things for different people, but for me it has been present for most of my adult life keeping me grounded, physically mobile and calm. It's opened my mind to other areas of health that I would have never explored otherwise. It's not about being the most flexible or being able to meditate for hours on end, but having strategies and coping mechanisms to live a happy and vibrant life. The classes I teach all include an element of strength, so that when you do stretch, its safe and controlled. I'd love for you to join me at one of my classes, whatever stage you are at.

We are accredited by The Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors. We have strong links with the surveying profession both in terms of potential employers and equipment manufacturers. The Course takes place in two six-week blocks spread over two years. The Survey School is home to the TSA Surveying Course. We are the UK’s only commercial training centre that provides training to the land survey profession which is accredited by The Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors. The Survey School was established in Worcester over 30 years ago and, on the 1st May 2014, The Survey Association (TSA) took over the running of The School to ensure the continuation of arguably the best survey training available in the UK. Since taking over the running of The School, TSA has invested in updating the IT systems and equipment and has received immense support from the survey instrument manufacturers. After his degree, he worked as a teacher of Science in Blackheath Bluecoat C of E School, also became deputy of the department. Dr Ajeleti undertook his teacher training at Canterbury Christ Church University, obtaining Qualified Teacher Status. He received the grade ‘outstanding’ for his role as a teacher, and this was recognised by Ofsted. During this time, he was still determined to pursue a career in medicine, graduating from the Medical University of Silesia, Katowice, Poland. Dr Ajeleti graduated at the top of his class and is currently training in the London Deanery. Raised in the Royal Borough of Greenwich, Dr Ajeleti has made it his duty to encourage young people to get involved in medicine and other healthcare professions.
