Ben and family run Beggarbush Gundogs a true family business. We all share the passion for working dogs. Joe and Jack our two young boys enjoy the dogs / puppies and training as much as us all. We have invested in premium facilities making Beggarbush Gundogs one of the stand-out Gundog centres around. Clients visit from all over the world to train and learn from Ben. After another amazing training session I felt compelled to write short piece on my experience working with Ben Randall that would hopefully help others do the right thing and sign up for some training while also thanking him for what he has helped us achieve. My journey with Ben and Beggarbush Gundogs started from an Internet search to look up the guy who had achieved so much following a day from hell with my 16 month Springer Spaniel. After a whole year of training with my local club and a number of “experts” Bracken was nothing short of a nightmare. He wouldn’t heel, he ran in on everything, his nose completely ruled his actions and it looked like he was too hot to handle. At the end of my tether the only option left was to seek out a real expert and after an extensive search felt that Ben’s CV in this field could have only been achieved by an expert. After reaching out to Ben he suggested an initial 2 hour assessment and lesson which I took him up on. I can honestly say without any hesitation, the best decision I’ve made in my field sports life to date. From arriving at Ledbury Lodge Kennels, the home of Beggarbush gun dogs, until today I have been impressed further and further. The facilities at Ledbury Lodge are first class and provide everything from comfortable tweed couches for the initial consultation and coffee, to the training facilities with cover, retrieving lanes and water. Beggarbush certainly has everything needed to get the best out of the sessions. After speaking with Ben at length about where we were with our training and advising Ben I wanted an all-round Springer that could stand on the peg with me as well as shooting over him, beating and a bit of picking up, I expected Ben to try and lower my expectations. He reassured me it was achievable but laid out in no uncertain terms that it would require going back to basics to ensure we had all the right building blocks to bring together for the field. We spoke at length about Ben’s bespoke training methods, the theory, dog psychology and experience to explain how and why it worked (suggest speaking to Ben directly for details) and I went home with lots of exercises and work to do following Ben’s foundation training. On September 9th Bracken stood with me for 5 drives while my wife enjoyed her first day of the season, Bracken was off of the lead all day. We were fortunate enough to have a few more days out through the season, Bracken was with me on all of them and was a joy to be with and we received a number of positive comments, about Bracken, unfortunately not about my shooting!! On October 5th were given the opportunity to go out beating on a hugely well respected Estate in the Cotswolds. This particular estate is known for its exceptionally well presented birds and no nonsense keeping. We were invited back and went on to be presented with Beater and Dog of the year at the Shoot dinner. The gamekeeper praising Bracken specifically as one of the best dogs he’s seen for 20+ years in the field. I genuinely can’t believe how far Bracken and I have come under Ben’s guidance. It’s been an incredible journey and education that has completely opened my eyes and shown me what training a dog is really about. It’s not just a series of repetitive exercises that they slowly learn. It’s a complete ethos combing specifically designed exercises that come together to give the dog and handler the right skills and importantly relationship to perform in harmony in the field. We also now feed our dogs Kronch ‘Beggarbush Champions Choice’ specifically developed by Ben for working dogs. It has given all our dog’s incredible coats that keep them warm and dry on the cold wet days and keeps them with drive and power from early till late, some weeks 3-4 days in a row. Needless to say, I can’t speak highly enough of Ben Randall and Beggarbush Gundogs. We now train all our dogs with Ben and all are seeing the same amazing progression even though they are three of the most different dog personalities you could find. Ben really does appear to have seen it all and is able to keep making suggestions and giving little hints and tips that always allow for an answer to the varying degrees of problems we come up against. Whether the dogs are out as a pack with the family on a relaxing walk, individually training or working on a shoot, we are regularly asked for advice on various training needs and I am now confident to help anyone……….call Ben Randall at Beggarbush, he will sort it!!!! Without any reservation I would strongly recommend Ben Randall and Beggarbush Gundogs for a complete training and development experience to suit any level and dog training ambition. As I have said on more than one occasion. Thanks Ben, you have completely changed our field sporting lives to such a huge degree. Long may it continue and with the new dogs too.

Dove House Community Trust (DHCT) is renowned as the leading community organisation responsible for the delivery of front-line community services in the Bogside and Brandywell area of Derry City. Established in 1984, Dove House, has, for more than 30 years provided many vital services and support to the people of the Bogside, Brandywell and the wider Derry City Council area. The Management Board of Dove House is populated by a number of local residents as well as representation from different sectors including public, private, community & voluntary. Each individual member brings with them an array of skills, experience and knowledge from both a professional and local level. The inclusion of residents in the running and managing of Dove House ensures that all services provided are in line with local need; furthermore, these services are effective in bringing about measurable change in people’s lives. Many organisations throughout the city, for example Conradh na Gaeilge (now the beautiful Cultúrlann Uí Chanáin on Gt. James’ Street), The Nerve Centre, The Gasyard Development Trust, Gasyard Wall Féile and The Bogside & Brandywell Initiative to name a few were embryonic visions which took on a life of their own whilst housed within Dove House. Presently ... Back in the early days, the centre was staffed by a committed, passionate and enthusiastic team of volunteers who provided a range of education and arts classes to local people. Dove House now provides a professional Advice Service to people in need across the Council area; a thriving Youth Club as well as drop-in centre in the city centre; a hub for those wishing to to return to employment or education; advocacy for women suffering domestic abuse; and help with money management. Dove House also works in partnership with other organisations in the area. in its present form has a dedicated team of advisors, who are equally committed and passionate about the local area. The current team work to support families on a low income and those in our community, who are most vulnerable. Information is available on a wide range of programmes? that can help them during a hardship. The range of projects, currently running in Dove House will ensure that the most vulnerable in the community can get assistance that they are entitled to, whether they are disabled or elderly, or experiencing other hardships. The staff will assess what their challenges are and based on the results of that, offer any assistance that they can. Advisors here can offer assistance with accessing benefits, referral to programmes dealing with debt management and financial capacity or accessing skills training. We are accredited by The Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors. We have strong links with the surveying profession both in terms of potential employers and equipment manufacturers. The Course takes place in two six-week blocks spread over two years. The Survey School is home to the TSA Surveying Course. We are the UK’s only commercial training centre that provides training to the land survey profession which is accredited by The Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors. The Survey School was established in Worcester over 30 years ago and, on the 1st May 2014, The Survey Association (TSA) took over the running of The School to ensure the continuation of arguably the best survey training available in the UK. Since taking over the running of The School, TSA has invested in updating the IT systems and equipment and has received immense support from the survey instrument manufacturers. In the late 1990’s, it was evident that there was a need for non-academic practical survey training and so the TSA Surveying Course was developed. Find out more about TSA here. I started going to yoga classes when I was just 16, tagging along with my Mum who had been going for years to her favourite teacher Sam. Yoga stayed with me throughout my adolescence, and I always found a class wherever I was, whether at University, on holiday or when I moved away from home. When I settled in Kent, I found an amazing teacher, Rebecca Papa-Adams, who was teaching at my local gym, and I was hooked, I went to yoga several times a week, practiced at home and started becoming interested in the non physical side of yoga. Rebecca convinced me to start my teacher training, even though my immediate plans included marriage and babies. I began my 500 hour teacher training with the British Wheel of Yoga in 2015, shortly after I got married, and unbeknown to me I was already pregnant on the first day of teacher training. I studied for 2.5 years with the British Wheel of Yoga and formed an amazing circle of mentors, teachers and friends throughout that time. I ended up studying and teaching throughout both my pregnancies, which added a whole other dimension to my journey. Seeing the amazing physical and mental effects of yoga whilst being pregnant encouraged me to begin pregnancy teacher training in 2019 soon after my second baby was born; he even joined me on my teacher training days. Yoga provides a lot of different things for different people, but for me it has been present for most of my adult life keeping me grounded, physically mobile and calm. It's opened my mind to other areas of health that I would have never explored otherwise. It's not about being the most flexible or being able to meditate for hours on end, but having strategies and coping mechanisms to live a happy and vibrant life. The classes I teach all include an element of strength, so that when you do stretch, its safe and controlled. I'd love for you to join me at one of my classes, whatever stage you are at.

After his degree, he worked as a teacher of Science in Blackheath Bluecoat C of E School, also became deputy of the department. Dr Ajeleti undertook his teacher training at Canterbury Christ Church University, obtaining Qualified Teacher Status. He received the grade ‘outstanding’ for his role as a teacher, and this was recognised by Ofsted. During this time, he was still determined to pursue a career in medicine, graduating from the Medical University of Silesia, Katowice, Poland. Dr Ajeleti graduated at the top of his class and is currently training in the London Deanery. Raised in the Royal Borough of Greenwich, Dr Ajeleti has made it his duty to encourage young people to get involved in medicine and other healthcare professions. As the co-founder of Modern Day medics, he aims to help prospective medical students from BME backgrounds to reach their full potential. He was also a recipient of the Beany scholarship for the best final year OSCE result. In 2012, he was recognised as a one of the top 100 future leaders and at University, he sat on a number of society committees as well as co-founding Inspire the youth CIC. After medical school, he undertook his foundation training in Trent deanery and core medical training in South London. During his junior doctor training, he served as a regional representative for foundation doctors and he was a clinical guidance associate at one of his local hospitals. He is currently a gastroenterology trainee in Kent, Surrey & Sussex deanery where he sits on the board for the culture and leadership change team. He is extremely passionate about seeing young people achieve their potential and dreams and with Modern Day Medics, he plans to achieve this.
