My name’s Marion Webber and I’ve been working in the field of Arts in Health and more general participatory arts for over a decade. Studies* have proven the benefits of taking part in creative activities that support our daily lives. I founded Arting Celfio during 2020, to enable Healthcare professionals and artists specialising within Arts and Health to collaborate and provide high-quality, tailor-made, person-centered arts projects. I am a practicing artist based in South Wales, with extensive experience in Participatory Arts Practice. This has given me the privilege to work with diverse participants on many commissions resulting in the installation of artworks in both temporary and permanent exhibitions. My art practice and knowledge inform how I collaborate and co-curate projects with Healthcare professionals and fellow artists within the field of Arts in Health. I have an MA (with Distinction - Arts Practice Arts, Health and Wellbeing) and gained a PGCE PcET Teaching Qualification (Post-16 and Adult Education sectors). I deliver creative workshops, informed by reflective practice and a commitment to continued professional development that connects, and provides meaningful activities that value people’s input and stories. I’d love the chance to discuss your ideas for projects, so please drop me an email. The artwork below are examples from my own practice. London

where the assumption that human culture is primarily visual is challenged until it dissolves, along with the entwined racism, patriarchy, misogyny, homophobic bullshit, other limiting beliefs and destructive economic systems …where the assumption that VR is a predominantly visual medium, not “for” or “by” visually impaired participants, is kicked to the kerb. Help us course correct the development of this critical mode in which our future selves will live, work, love, play. …where accessibility techniques such as audio description extend deep into the richer reaches of art forms and cultural identities …. where audio describers are not afraid to describe the weird and the wonderful, and who have the cultural insight to respectfully describe any human being …where creation tools, arts education and access are provided to ensure equal access for all those who are otherwise excluded or disadvantaged by a disability …where Burning Man art, culture, and event information is accessible to visually impaired participants. … where visually impaired participants can navigate physical and digital Burning Man experiences independently or with easy, on-demand assistance. … where visually impaired participants and other excluded Burners are able to make the same independent choices as sighted participants. …where those who are blind and deaf are not forgotten, and are embraced as creators too … where all this is considered foundational to Burning Man culture. In short, a world built for all of us. It is something we see, and with your help will make real.

Linda M Farquharson

Linda Farquharson is a relief printmaker (Linocut) based in Highland Perthshire creating linocuts and wood engravings. Her work is infused with the outdoor world and inspiration is never far from her back door.Linda studied Illustration at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Dundee, graduating B A (Hons) in 1986. She specialised in relief printmaking and continues to work primarily with lino printing and wood engraving. For many years she worked as a commercial artist based in Edinburgh, while also exhibiting her prints nationally. Commissions include W B Yeats’ Irish Fairy and Folk Tales (for The Folio Society 2007) and Sir Walter Scott’s The Lady of The Lake (for The Association for Scottish Literary Studies 2010). Now based in Highland Perthshire, her work remains infused with the outdoor world and inspiration is never very far from her back door. Among Linda’s most recent work is a series of linocut prints that include ‘The Tree of Life’, ‘Song of the Goddess’, ‘Nine maidens’, and ‘Earth Goddess’. These bold prints incorporate some of Linda’s favourite images – trees, flowers, animals and birds together with the female form, and her current preoccupation with Goddess mythology. Drawing on stories from the Welsh Mabinogion alongside the legendary Scottish ‘Cailleach’ (expressions of the different phases of womanhood from maiden to crone) these themes allude to tales of transformation and the point where humans and nature merge, bringing a powerful new dimension to her work.

Solihull

We offer the highest grade of musical education, from teaching staff who are not only talented musicians in their own right, but also trained to teach, regularly monitored and who undergo ongoing professional development training at Yamaha HQ. We provide each student with a one hour, group lesson on the instrument of choice, once per week for 44 weeks of the year, or provide students learning individually with a half hour lesson, once per week/fortnight for 44/22 weeks of the year. We ensure that all our staff have enhanced DBS (CRB) clearance. Certification is available to view outside our studios. We offer an optional, accredited examination syllabus, with examinations taking place on site 2/3 times per annum. We facilitate learning with state of the art instruments in clean, comfortable, designated studios. We encourage every student with merits for practice and Certificates and Prizes for collecting merits. We offer a clean, comfortable waiting room for students and parents alike. We offer eight weeks holiday every year and display a full school calendar on our website, as well as in school. We provide, by email, lesson notes to any student who is unable to attend his/her usual class, for whatever reason. We have built an amazing resource for our students using an online learning portal. This means that if you were to miss a lesson it will be available to watch and practice with on catch-up as we stream every single lesson (live) to the portal. That means you can practice all year round and should you be unable to make it to the school for the time of your lesson, you can simply dial in from home!
