Edinburgh

We are a newly formed Edinburgh baseball community club open to all over-16s and adults who are interested in the sport. You can join us regardless of gender or your level of experience in baseball. Our practice sessions are free and atmosphere always welcoming. Winter training is NOW on Sundays. Please get in touch if you are interested in joining us. Players are the most important people in the sport. Playing for the team, and for the team to win, is the most fundamental part of the game. But not winning at any cost. Fair play and respect for all others in the game are also fundamentally important. Players should be aware of their obligations towards training and the game. A player should: ⚾ Make every effort to develop their own sporting abilities, in terms of skill, technique, tactics and stamina. ⚾ Set a positive example for others, particularly younger players and supporters. ⚾ Avoid all forms of gamesmanship and timewasting. ⚾ Know, respect and abide by the laws of the game and competition rules. ⚾ Accept success and failure, victory and defeat, equally. ⚾ Treat other members of the club and opponents with due respect at all times, irrespective of the result of the game, safeguard the physical fitness, avoid violence and rough play, and help injured teammates or opponents. ⚾ Show respect towards match officials, team officials (including opposition team officials) and supporters. ⚾ Abide by the instructions of their coach and team officials, provided they do not contradict the spirit of this code. ⚾ Give maximum effort and strive for the best possible performance during a game, even if his team is in a position where the desired result has already been achieved. ⚾ Be aware of their obligations to their own team and make every effort consistent with fair play, sportsmanship and the laws of the game to help his own team win. ⚾ Not use inappropriate language. ⚾ Resist any temptation to take banned substances or use banned techniques. ⚾ Refrain from using any discriminatory language of any kind. Edinburgh Rays Baseball Club have a zero-tolerance policy toward discrimination on the grounds of race, skin colour, nationality, sexuality, gender and disability.

The Missionaries of the Poor are always seeking men who wish to answer Our Lord’s invitation to serve the poor. Members of the Missionaries of the Poor take four vows: (1) poverty, (2) chastity, (3) obedience and (4) free service to the least. To learn more about the life of the order, simply contact us. M.O.P. FORMATION As you begin the journey of discerning your vocation, be assured that you are not left to yourself. The Missionaries of the Poor provides a comprehensive formation program that includes the opportunity to experience the life of brotherhood, a rigorous theological and spiritual training program and years of hands-on experience in our work. This formation consists of five stages: 1. Aspirancy (6 months to 1 year): New vocations begin with one year of introduction to the life and work of the Missionaries of the Poor. This period of formation takes place at the MOP mission in your home country. The goal of this period is simply to assist you in discerning whether God is calling you to serve Him with us. 2. Postulancy (6 months): Formation continues as you continue to test your vocation to religious life. If you grow in your conviction that the religious life is in fact God’s will for you, postulancy ends and you remove to the Institute’s headquarters in Kingston, Jamaica to continue formation. 3. Novitiate (2 years): The first year (canonical) of the Novitiate emphasizes prayer and contemplation and includes a 40 day retreat. The second year (apostolical) emphasizes the work or apostolate of the Missionaries of the Poor. 4. Juniorate (6 years): At the end of the Novitiate, temporary vows of six years is made. During these three years, brothers in formation continue to grow in the knowledge of the mission and works of the Institute. 5. Seniorate (life): With the approval of the Institute, brothers in formation may be admitted to perpetual profession, that is, vows for lifetime service. DID YOU KNOW? MOP formation includes a comprehensive program in theological and biblical studies? Brothers receive over 5 years of college-level instruction in every area of basic skills, spirituality, prayer, philosophy and theology needed for the life of a Missionary of the Poor.

he International Scientific Research and Researchers Association (ISRRA) work hard to promote the excellence in quality Scientific Research, Scientific Research Publication, and leadership in joint research projects in a framework through which the ISRRA association occupies its rightful place among research bodies within the competitive challenge at the international level. ISRRA plays its roles to support scientific research, increase the human knowledge, identify priorities in scientific research at international level, initiate effective collaboration between researchers, focus on the applications of advanced technology in various fields, contribute in scientific research through the adoption of seminars, research projects or joint efforts with others and between researchers at the international level. ISRRA association also host and Publish high quality refereed open access international journals to support the researchers in their journey toward publishing their research papers. ISRAA journals accept scientific papers after sending them to quality peer academic reviewers for subjecting the author’s scholarly work. Peer review is an essential component of the academic writing process thus ISRRA association strive to ensure that papers published in its scientific journals answer meaningful research questions and draw accurate conclusions based on professionally executed experimentation. As known to the researchers community; the peer review process has also been widely criticised due to the slowness of the process to publish new findings and due to perceived bias by the editors and/or reviewers. ISRRA association created unique review model based on pay per blind review regardless if the paper is accepted or reject by the reviewer; this solved two main problems: Speed and fairness. The mean average time for our ordinary review and publication process is 20 days (paper can be published online within 20 days). After peer review results; our editors will decide: • Accept the paper/papers for publication in ISRRA related Journal without any basic modifications. • Accept the paper/papers for publication in ISRRA related Journal with modifications to be applied. • Reject the research paper/ research papers. ISRRA related Journals will be available for scientific readers for free; no fees are required to download and read any published paper/papers in those international journals. ISRRA Journals cover all main branches of science (scientific disciplines)

Dolphin Swim Group

Cheadle

We’re committed to our reputation as a swim school of the highest quality. We offer a modern alternative to traditional large group, summer swim lessons to make your child learn faster and have more fun. We have indoor classes year-round, and you can start any week of the year. To provide easy scheduling,* call us the week before you would like to start lessons to find the best level, class, and weekly time for your child; classes are once-weekly for 30 minutes. Once you start, we require that you commit to at least two full months of lessons because we want you to see a substantial improvement in your child’s skills and, more importantly, we want your child to retain the skills they learn. Payments are made easy from the start with monthly automatic payments taken from a credit card kept safely on file. After that initial enrollment, you never have to re-register; we will hold your child’s spot until you ask for a schedule change, your child graduates into the next level, or you need to take a break. One of the best things about our open enrollment scheduling is that your child can move up throughout our nine levels as soon as he/she is ready; we will never restrict your child’s learning because of age or time spent in a class. We love our advanced classes with four and five year-olds swimming the butterfly stroke! Then, if you need to take a break from lessons for any reason, you can stop your enrollment anytime with a 30-day written notice (needed to stop your payments and make sure your account is settled). Learning to swim does take time. It is a complex, but life-saving skill, and it is always worth learning. We promise to make the process easy for you and fun for your child. You don’t have to take our word for it—see for yourself with a FREE Trial Lesson today! *Since we are a specialty school that provides only swim lessons, all of our efforts are focused on making classes and experiences great. To make scheduling and your account access even easier, check out our online Parent Portal!

Altrincham College

Cheshire

As Headteacher of Altrincham College I count myself very fortunate to be leading a happy school where all members of our community are valued for the contributions they make, enabling them to flourish in complex and demanding times. Together we provide an environment where learning is actively sought and highly prized by students and staff, energising them to improve further and releasing the positive energy that naturally exists within all people. I believe that outstanding teaching leads to outstanding learning which has a direct impact on behaviour, attendance and staff and student well-being. As we move forward, we will maintain a sharp focus on the quality of teaching in the classroom, in assemblies and in extra-curricular activities in order to ensure all-round rapid academic progress for years to come through creativity and innovation. We know that when children and young people feel safe, cared for and have a positive outlook on life, they are able to learn. Not only do they learn but they learn well and work diligently. I believe this environment has been established at our school however we cannot rest on our laurels; the best must be maintained and the rest built upon further as students’ differing needs must be catered for to the best of our ability. As Headteacher I will work hard to ensure that Altrincham College provides and accesses as much support as possible for our students and their families so that we continue to remove barriers to learning. Students who attend our school are immersed in an exciting, well-rounded education; they are able to access a curriculum where they have fun and which sets them up for achieving excellent outcomes for themselves, establishing them as lifelong learners and future leaders in whatever field they choose to go into; they are free to question, nurturing their curious minds and they take educational risks in order to make sense of the world. Altrincham College provides children and young people with a disciplined, supportive environment within which they can be themselves and achieve anything they put their minds to.

Taibach Community Library

taibach community library

Port Talbot

Hello and welcome to our website. We are a volunteer run community library based in Taibach, Port Talbot. Taibach Library’s roots go back over 100 years, to 1913 when Margam Urban District Council received a grant of £2,500 from the Carnegie Trust for a free circulating library in Taibach. The foundation stone was laid in 1914 and the library opened its doors to the public in 1916. Fast forward nearly 100 years later to May 2014, and the Library was threatened with closure due to local authority cuts. As a result of this, a local group of people came together and formed the Taibach Community Library charity. The library is now run entirely by volunteers, and we rely on the generosity of individuals and local businesses for support. Without that help, we would not be able to serve those in our community as we currently do. The Library continues to play a central role in providing vital opportunities for people, young and old to learn, develop and socialise at the heart of the community. Whilst the traditional book lending remains, our library also offers much more, from regular clubs for children and young people to gather and share their interests to coffee mornings and providing support and access for people of all ages to make the most of everything that the internet has to offer. This year, our goal is to raise £5,000. Every donation that we receive will be spent directly to help us make an important difference to our local community. Whether it goes towards paying our insurance, heating or electricity bill or helping fund the purchase of new equipment, every donor will be acknowledged in our promotional literature and on our community sponsorship board located in the Library itself. There are many different ways that individuals or businesses can donate to us. We can accept cash, cheque or card payments at the Library itself, or we can accept money via bank transfer or Paypal. Individuals can also support us when they shop online via Amazon, eBay, Tesco, Booking.com and much more. You can find out more here.
