Caerus Therapies was established in 2021 by Conor Mc Donagh, Specialist Occupational Therapist, (BSc) Occupational Therapy, (BA) Applied Social studies, PG cert Sensory Integration. Conor is a registered member of the Royal College of Occupational Therapist, The Sensory integration Network (where he offers mentorship) and is HCPC registered. Conor's career in care started over 20 years ago in Ireland where he worked with behaviours that challenge, Autism and Learning Disabilities, before he moved to England to pursue a Degree in Occupational Therapist. Since qualifying as an Occupational Therapist, Conor started to complete Autism assessments at home, in schools and in hospitals across the UK. Subsequently he qualified as an Advanced Sensory Integration Practitioner in Ayres Sensory Integration and trained to assess Dyspraxia. He completed further training in sensory issues relating to feeding difficulties, sleep issues and ADHD from the Sensory Integration Network.

Organisations must create a workplace that welcomes neurodiversity 1 in 7 people is neurodivergent. In the global adult population, it's estimated that 10% are dyslexic, 5% are dyspraxia, 4% have ADHD, and 1-2% are autistic. While these statistics may signal a challenge, neurodiversity can also shine a light on many strengths of thinking differently. Neurodivergent people often know what their strengths and weaknesses are, which is built from a lifetime of creating workarounds to allow them to reach their full potential. The world is changing, and more significant uncertainty requires different thinking. Having clear workplace policies that support a diverse workforce promotes fairness and equality of opportunity and will also reduce stress and ensure well-being; we need to understand better how different thinkers operate and add value. This sends out positive messages to all the staff and demonstrates the company's ethos.

We are an independent multidisciplinary centre offering children’s therapy services in the South East of England, Kent, East Sussex, as well as nationally and internationally. We have an expanding team of highly specialised professionals offering assessment and treatment for children. In addition, we offer support to families, carers and to schools. Our team includes Paediatric Occupational Therapists, Speech & Language Therapists, Clinical Psychologists, Physiotherapists, Play Therapists, CBT practitioners, Psychotherapists, Behaviour consultants, Neurofeedback Practitioners, Clinical Nutritionists and an Audio Vestibular Consultant. Amongst many therapeutic approaches we offer, we specialise in Sensory Integration Therapy and have therapy rooms equipped to the highest standards by our partner, Rompa, the leading UK Sensory Rooms designer and supplier. We also offer Neurofeedback treatment for both children and adults. We are building on the work of the Christmas Childrens Clinic established in 1989, by Jill Christmas, Occupational Therapist and author of ‘Hands on Dyspraxia’ and ‘Sensory Dinosaurs’. Based in Crowborough, East Sussex, we offer therapy in the centre and also in schools and children’s homes. Who We Are & Where We Are High Peak School is part of the Kedleston Group and opened in 2014.Our specialist multi-disciplinary team of leaders, carers, therapists and educationalists work seamlessly together.
