To delve a bit more in depth into my intimate individuality — by nature, I am an unperturbed and reserved being. I keep my ongoings, progressions, and successes close to my chest — as I thrive within the reticent realm of exclusivity and privacy. For the 'animal' shall not be measured by humankind. Gifted with extensions of the senses we have lost or never attained, living by voices we shall never hear. It gave me such pleasure and relief when long-held rifts within and between teams melted away after some good, authentic communication. Later I qualified as a civil and employment mediator, and have been mediating ever since. It’s astonishing to witness people’s lives turn from a turmoil of distressing, intractable ‘stuckness’, to a new phase in which, for example, neighbours can conceive of greeting each other again; or work colleagues re-establish trust between each other after maybe years of mistrust, stress and non-communication. Mediation takes empathy, patience and persistence, and it is a skill I will develop and hone endlessly over years to come, but its core aspect is a belief that people really can find peace again, given the right support and a safe space to explore options for settling differences. Facilitating such processes is a real honour. Nothing beats the sight of former disputants smiling, shaking hands, or even (more often than you would think) hugging, at the end of a mediation.

Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust is one of only three dedicated children’s hospital trusts in the UK and provides integrated healthcare for children and young people, including community and mental health care as well as acute and specialist services. We see children from 0-16 in most cases and in some cases up to 18. We provide a full range of services for residents of Sheffield and South Yorkshire as well as specialised services for patients from across the United Kingdom. Caring for patients across the UK Demand for our services is growing and we are increasingly delivering healthcare to patients over a wider geographical area as our reputation for providing outstanding specialist care grows. We have some of the best medical and surgical services for children in the country. In 2021/22, 210,439 patients attended an outpatient appointment (including over 25% virtual appointments). A further 60,720 children attended A&E. 26,255 Mental Health community contacts were made across the Sheffield region and 23,341 COVID-19 vaccines were provided to protect children, young people and staff. Provider collaborative for CAMHS Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust is the NHS Lead Provider for the South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw (SYB) Provider Collaborative for Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS). Provider collaboratives are new regional partnerships of organisations that provide specialised mental health services. These partnerships are being established across England as part of a national programme of work that sees the responsibility for the commissioning of specialised mental health services transfer from the NHS England and NHS Improvement (NHSE/I) Specialised Commissioning team to the new regional provider collaboratives. Dragon Tang Soo Do is an Association of friendly family martial arts clubs based predominantly in the South West of England. Tang Soo Do is a traditional Korean martial art which teaches self-defence, fighting skills and weapons, in addition, its many benefits also act as a guide to allow people to live a healthy and harmonious life. Incorporated within the Association is a Japanese based style of martial arts called Wado Ryu. These clubs which are based in Bournemouth joined the Association in 2004 and share our ethos, values and aims. Together we are a strong, united and friendly group of like minded martial artists keen to improve our knowledge and pass on our skills and experience to others. Our clubs cater for people with a wide range of abilities and ages (5 years and above), so whether you want to train to improve your fitness and health, or are keen to learn how to defend yourself, or simply want to find a hobby to relieve stress and make new friends, then we maybe for you! We live in challenging times and nowadays, increasing numbers of people are learning to protect themselves and their families, our martial arts are a very effective tried and tested method of self-defence. History of Tang Soo Do The very first evidence of this ancient form of Korean martial arts appeared during the Three Kingdom era (57 BC-935 AD) as Hwa Rang Do. Since then, 2,000 years have passed. The indigenous martial arts quietly developed through generations of the Korean people. During some eras it flourished and other times it diminished, according to the political, economic or cultural environment. The art was known by various names throughout the eras, such as Hwa-Rang Do, Kyuck Too Ki, Moo Sul, Soo Bahk Ki, Soo Byuck Ki, and others. Following 1945 Korean independence, the Korean martial arts were again merged and flourished throughout the entire Korean Peninsula. Many organisations were founded with various names such as Soo Bahk Do, Tang Soo Do, Tae Soo Do, etc… At the beginning of the modern era of the Korean martial arts, Tang Soo Do was the most popular term for these arts. However, at that time, the Korean political leader was concerned about establishing Korean value based on Korean nationalism. The political leaders recognized the popularity of Korean martial arts around the world, but were opposed to the use of the name Tang Soo Do for the art, as it sounded like a Chinese martial art, because the first word “Tang” could be interpreted as representing the Chinese Tang Dynasty (617-907 AD). In 1964, a government sponsored small group created a new name for the Korean martial arts: Tae Kwon Do. We still respect the original term, Tang Soo Do, and intend to preserve its heritage and value as a traditional way or path. Unfortunately, many Tae Kwon Do instructors did not maintain the traditional values of the true martial arts. Instead, they converted to a sport as they have progressed to the internationally recognized sports arenas such as the Olympic games. This was considered to be a great political achievement, to bring strength and prominence to the Korean government in International politics. True Martial Arts lovers had no place within these Tae Kwon Do dojangs (Training Halls) to continue to pursue traditional martial arts because they abandoned many valuable aspects of true Martial Arts to become a simple competitive sport. We, as Tang Soo Do practitioners are striving to maintain traditional values of respect, dicipline, self control, self improvement, etiquette and ultimately live a healthy and harmonious life, physically and mentally. History of Wado Ryu It would be very difficult to trace the original roots of karate back to their inception, however it is believed that the Okinawan Islands off the Japanese coast were the birth place of the art practiced across the world today. Despite the strong links to Japan, the original name was “Chinese hand" or "Tang hand" which during the early part of the 1900s, the Japanese changed to Kara-te “open” or “empty hand” Wado Ryu is one of the four most popular karate styles practiced today, in comparison with others, it is relatively modern with the founder Hironori Ohtsuka, who had studied other forms of martial arts previously, introducing Wado Ryu in Tokyo around the mid 1930s. It wasn’t until 1965 that it was introduced to the United Kingdom by Tatsuo Suzuki. This taster type clay session is a great way to get away from the busy world outside for a few hours. By the end of this session you will have completed a bowl using the coiling method. This session can be treated as a one off or something you can repeat. If the course is booked with a friend or as a group there is a reduction in price. Please negotiate group reductions via email. When making your bowl you will also have a finished surface that you can decorate in a variety of ways applying any design or you can leave it blank or write an inscription onto its surface. A decorated bowl is an excellent celebratory gift to give to a friend or a relative. Or you can use it yourself! You will be guided through making a bowl using the coiling technique by joining, then pinching out ropes of soft clay. The workshop was very informative I was provided with information sheets of all of the process's I requested and if it wasn't at hand Josie will research for you to answer all of your questions and provide you with as much help as possible. Really good price for everything you get as well which is all of your materials and some of the best teaching I've experienced. Very thorough explanations and demonstrations with clear instructions, personally I feel its important to have a 1:1 class as well if you want a more intensive learning experience. For myself I felt I need to be guided through the process with constant observation to receive help as you go and then learn from your mistakes much faster. What I remember most of my childhood is drawing, drawing all the time, every opportunity. My father loved music and loved to dance. We would dance together. My mother designed clothes and was a dressmaker and cake baker. My parents had arrived in England in 1954 from Jamaica and lived in the Brixton area. They lived on Concannon Road from around 1955 and moved to Railton Road in 1959 after they had wed at the church at Santley Street, around the corner of Concannon Road. Today I live by my painting and continue in my mothers’ and fathers’ legacy as a creator. Jackie Burton Jackie Burton Born and raised in West Yorkshire, I took a trip to London in 1983 and have remained here since then. I am a black woman, a Christian and a mother. A retired Social Worker, I have a passion for children, young people and their families. Over the last 40 years I have had roles in church including youth leader and Pathfinder club leader as well as teaching in children’s Sabbath school & children’s church. It was my joy, to find the most creative and interesting ways to engage children and young people with so many varied learning styles. Over the last 12 years of my career I was a Team Leader for a local authority Fostering Service; having responsibility for facilitating training, assessing foster carers and placing children from diverse and challenging backgrounds with those carers. Life-long learning is part of who I am and I started becoming more interested in paper crafts when my now, 25 year old son was around 3 years old. We started to make cards for every occasion and stopped buying them from the shops. Paper crafts opened the door to so many other crafting pursuits and my love for crafting has only grown since then, from wedding decoration, decoupage & canvas art to knitting & simple sewing, I have done many and various and still do. THE ONLINE SHOP – Gin Sales Bottle prices shown on this website are in British Pounds, inclusive of UK duty and VAT (Value Added Tax) and exclude delivery costs. No goods are offered for sale at this site to any person who is below the legal drinking age in the country in which they are resident or any person resident in a country where such sale would be contrary to local law. By placing an order through our site, you warrant that you are of a lawful age. If you are buying products as a gift, the recipient must also be of a lawful age. This is the responsibility of the purchaser. If our couriers are in any doubt about the age of the recipient on delivery, they may request some form of ID. After placing an order, you will receive an e-mail from us acknowledging that we have received your order. Please note that this does not mean that your order has been accepted. Your order constitutes an offer to us to buy a product. We despatch orders Monday to Friday and all orders received before 1pm are despatched the same day. Orders received after 1pm are despatched the next working day. Our customers’ satisfaction is of the utmost importance to us, and we take exceptional care in the manufacturing, packaging and delivery of our products. Customers should promptly inspect goods delivered to them to satisfy themselves that any goods delivered to them are as expected. Please note that you may be asked to show proof of age upon delivery of your order. RETURNS The courier must be informed of breakages or shortages at the time of delivery. We may not (at our sole discretion) accept any claims for breakages or shortages unless they are stated on the couriers documentation. We must have confirmation of these breakages or shortages within 48 hours of delivery. Photographic evidence is required by our carrier company if an item has been damaged during transit. To request a full refund or exchange, please notify us by email to info@crossbillgin.com within 48 hours of delivery. Please state whether you would like a full refund or exchange and quote your order confirmation number, the product name, a photo of the damage, your full name, email address, phone number and delivery address. Only unopened products that are in the original packaging will be eligible for refund or exchange. Approved refunds will be credited to the payment card/PayPal account used during the original transaction within 30 days and will exclude shipping costs. We recommend that items are returned to us via a recorded delivery service to ensure that they are protected and insured during transit. If you fail to meet these terms and conditions, the product will be returned to you and you will not receive a refund nor be eligible for an exchange. DISCLAIMER All products are stress tested before despatch. Products are sensitive to elements of extreme heat where glass and corks may fail. Products should be stored at room temperature and out of direct sunlight. All coloured products use natural ingredients and may fade or change overtime. THE ONLINE SHOP - Gin School Purchasing Options explained TO BUY A TICKET AND BOOK A DATE. This option should be used if you know the date you wish to book at the same time as purchasing a ticket. By following the link, you will be taken to the booking screen where you will choose the date then will be directed to complete your information then onto making a payment. TO REDEEM A GIFT VOUCHER AND BOOK A DATE. This option should be used if you have previously purchased or been gifted a voucher. By following the link, you will be taken to the booking screen where you will choose the date then will be directed to complete your information and redeem your voucher using the order number on the voucher. TO BUY A GIFT VOUCHER TO BE REDEEMED LATER. If you do not know the date you would like to book or if you wish to purchase a voucher to be given as a gift, you should ADD TO CART. This will then bypass the booking screen and will direct you to the checkout screen where you will complete your information then onto making a payment. By purchasing or booking a course you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions. Voucher Delivery – When purchasing a Gin School Experience, an e-voucher will be generated and sent to the provided email address within 24 hours. You will also receive a Gift Voucher by post. Refund Policy – The Gin School operates a strict 14-day refund policy from the date of purchase. Notification must be made in writing to info@crossbillgin.com and must be accompanied by the unused voucher and proof of payment. Cancellations and Postponements – A minimum of 14 days’ notice is required prior to your appointment to reschedule a booking and will incur a £10.00 administration fee. In the unlikely event that the Company has to cancel a Gin School Masterclass, the Company undertakes to offer a suitable alternative date or a full refund of any course fees. Vouchers – Vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash or other goods. Vouchers are transferable, so if you are unable to attend yourself, you may nominate a replacement. Vouchers expire 12 months from the date of issue and extensions beyond 12 months are not available under any circumstances. Course Alterations –The Company reserves the right to make minor changes to the format and content of the Gin School Masterclasses, to improve the experience, without notice. Age Restriction – You must be over 21 years of age to attend a Masterclass and those that appear under 25 years will be asked for proof of age upon arrival. Samples – A limited quantity of tasting samples will be offered during the Gin School Masterclass and are included in the cost of the voucher. Health and Safety Liability – You will be given a briefing on health and safety prior to the session commencing. All participants are expected to listen carefully and follow instructions given. Participants should take reasonable care in the Gin School to avoid personal injury and/or injury to others. Standard of Behaviour – We will refuse to admit you to the premises if you appear to be intoxicated or under the influence of prohibited narcotic substances upon your arrival. You are expected to behave sensibly and appropriately at all times and may be required to leave the premises if for any reason the Company or others are unhappy with your behaviour. We reserve the right to refuse the sampling of alcohol under the terms of the licensing act Washroom Facilities – The primary function of the premises is a distillery and the site offers limited toilet facilities with restricted access. Alternative toilet facilities with full disabled access are however available across the covered courtyard. Special Needs – Your comfort and wellbeing are of the utmost importance to us, please therefore inform us prior to our accepting the booking of any medical condition or physical impediment about which we would need to be aware in order to eliminate or anticipate any potential health and safety issue Special Dietary Requirements/ Allergies/ Disabilities – We cannot adjust courses for special dietary requirements unless previously agreed.
