Yoga, Meditation and Mindfulness to Balance your Mind and Body Kerrie is passionate about yoga and its effects on wellbeing. For years she has believed it makes you and those around you happier! Yoga is far more than a work-out, it is a way of life and a journey of self-discovery. Whether in a busy class or in a private lesson, Kerrie's aim is to enable everyone to feel the practice is just perfect for them in that moment.......leaving students feeling amazing! MEET KERRIE Hello! I believe in living a life full of joy, laughter, gratitude, and free of judgement. These feelings guide my teaching and practice, which is focused on nurturing students to help them better connect to themselves and to bring about a sense of balance and peace. I have been practicing meditation since a young girl taught by my mother and later as an adult practicing yoga asana too, with many brilliant teachers. My initial Hatha Yoga teacher training (200 hours) was with Daizan Roshi, a Zen Master and monk in the rigorous Rinzai tradition of Zen. He studied with the forefather of Ashtanga Yoga, Sri Pattabhi Jois in India. This Zen focus means mindfulness is at the heart of my practice, developing focus, awareness and suppleness on all levels. Training was immersive; away from modern life and the outside world. Starting each day at sunrise and finishing after dark, it was intense, inspirational and totally life changing. Training covered alignment, asana, meditation, breath-work, anatomy, philosophy and Zen. My passion for sharing yoga has led to further training in pregnancy and baby yoga (85 hours), restorative Yoga Nidra (40 hours) and Yin Yoga (130 hours; trained with the amazing Bernie Clark!). Most recently I have become certified to work in the areas of therapeutic yoga for cancer care, aligned to the British Society of Integrative Oncology and have also taken part in 'strong throughout menopause' education. Additionally, I have completed advanced training, over a number of years this included the art of sequencing, of adjustments and the subtle body including; Chakras, Bandhas and Prana (500 hours). I also have over 3000 hours teaching experience and am registered with the professional governing body, Yoga Alliance, as a senior designated experienced teacher. I have also had the privilege of staying at Plum Village in France to practice and study Zen and Mindfulness under the teachings of world renowned Zen Master and global peace activist Thich Nhat Hanh. An absolutely incredible experience and such beautiful teachings, that I continue to share with anyone that will listen! My other life passion is travel and I have been lucky enough to have spent time exploring India, Japan, Thailand, Borneo, Indonesia, Hawaii, Malaysia, Mexico, Canada, Sri Lanka, New Zealand, Europe and many other beautiful places. I bring together and share my experiences of yoga from those places too.

EAS' training centre was opened to improve upon the lack of options for our industry to get quality training for beginners to time-served engineers. We introduced a non-complicated vision to training with the schemes availiable to EAS to ensure that you are getting the best outcomes in a cost effective manner. Running small groups (1:14 max) EAS can focus more on delivery giving a greater overall experience to learning and development. We have found apprentices respond well to our system of learning which we can manage the group better in terms of development and to stretch/challenge those that are excelling. We promote a mature learning enviroment where everyone works as a team and is included. What else do we do differently? - For appretniceship delivery our commitment to you the employer means by each morning you will emailed to confirm if your apprentice(s) have not attended college. We will review progression with you personally or with a supervisor every 12 weeks so you know exactly what has been delivered, if there are any issues and what needs to happen in the future to help your Apprentice(s) to flurrish. We listen and act upon your concerns and we encouraged you to pop in to the centre for a cup of tea and a chat. Peace of mind for you but also lets your apprentice know we work together. Our results speak for themselves. We are currently running at 97% pass rate for all those who attend EAS, that's way above national benchmarks. You wont hear any complaints from your Apprentices about not having tools or materials thats for sure....... nor will they be taught by the book, nor sent to the library or home as the tutor didnt turn up. EAS has listended to Employers feedback on previously used providers and these points always get raised. EAS promise this will never happen unless something drastic has happened completely out of our control.

Being a dancer from a very early age I experienced a serendipitous moment when I was introduced to yoga at the age of 17 by one of my dance teachers. For me dancing was my lifeline in discovering myself. If I was ever mentally or emotionally challenged my body released whatever it needed to release by moving it. Then yoga came into my life and I loved the way my body and my mind felt during and after the practice. It felt like I was coming home. Back to the source and truth of who and what I am. My unique style of yoga has developed over the years by my love of anatomy and physiology and the way in which the body wants to constantly heal itself. Moving and breathing in our bones enables the tissues and the fluid systems to pulse in an intelligent and healing way connecting us to our own innate wisdom. By tuning in and truly listening to what is going on, our mental, emotional, physical and psychic bodies resonate with mindfulness and clarity. I believe passionately in the power of yoga, it helps us to transcend our limitations and to find increasing freedom in our lives. What I enjoy most about teaching yoga is being able to assist others in their journey within and to help find acceptance and peace no matter where they are in their yoga practice. I am a mother to two beautiful children and we have lived in Somerset for nearly 20 years. I have also worked in the film industry for 25 years and have worked my way up from a runner to a 1st Assistant Director. I love walking in nature with my beautiful dogs and experiencing the wildness of the elements. I am a trained professional dancer & a registered Senior Yoga Teacher with the Yoga Alliance. I am a Satya Prajna teacher with Tias Little from Prajna Yoga. I am also a SUP Yoga (Stand Up Paddleboard) teacher and classes will be coming to Somerset in the very near future.
