Nature & Therapy UK was formed in 2017 by Stefan Batorijs in response to a growing need for Spiritual & Psychological connection to Nature, and education about how we can learn to respect and include Nature in our lives. Stefan has been exploring the wild places for 50 years, and trained originally in Countryside Management, Conservation and Environmental Education. He is a qualified Integrative Psychotherapist and Mountain Leader, with 25 years experience facilitating individuals and groups in natural environments. Stefan holds an ITC level 3 award in Outdoor First Aid. In 2008 he established the highly acclaimed Ecotherapy Project with Plymouth NHS, for people with severe and enduring mental health needs. Stefan is currently an Associate Lecturer at Plymouth University. He teaches the role of Nature and benefits of natural immersion for mental health and recovery from trauma on the Clinical Psychology Doctorate Training. Stefan is passionate about trees, birds and Sacred land. Stefan is a member of INFOM, the International Society of Nature and Forest Medicine and a member of the Eco-psychology Network.

Lighthouse School came about through five families with children on the autistic spectrum who had identified a great demand for a school that specifically met the needs of students on the autistic spectrum. Our vision was to create a school where students can thrive, where their needs are fully understood and met, where learning is individualised and aligned to their destination, and where the environment supports their specific learning styles. We want to enable our students to develop independence, a true sense of their own self-worth and the capacity to contribute to society and live a full and happy life. The Government’s Free School Programme gave us the ideal vehicle to turn the vision into reality and we were fortunate to be the first Special Free School in the country to open its doors in September 2012.

V Learning Network is a charitable company originally set up in 2001 as the lead of a consortium created to deliver adult and young people mainstream funded education. The consortium was made up of independent training providers in the Third Sector throughout Devon and Cornwall. In August 2021, due to some changes in funding, the nature and focus of the company shifted slightly. We are used to working in a proactive and agile way so have been able to adapt, evolve and innovate, and continue to do so. To fit the growing needs of the business and to strengthen our brand identity, we have changed the company name to V Learning Network trading as Step into Learning – Step Into Learning will be the sole, public facing name used across all our touchpoints going forwards. We still offer young people mainstream funded education and we currently work with three charities and Community Interest Groups (The Outdoor Place, Transferable Skills Training, Cornwall Neighbourhoods for Change), enabling them to deliver high quality training by providing sustainable funding. The funding allows our partners to offer a range of training opportunities and deliver quality programmes within Cornwall. Step Into Learning also delivers quality, in-house training, projects and services via its own training division. Step Into Learning is based in Launceston, Cornwall, however, our reach extends much further. We offer training across Devon and Cornwall and have the scope to cover any geographical location due to our flexible delivery – face to face, blended learning (mix of face to face and online) and online. Step Into Learning specialise in working with learners looking to open up new career pathways, or those looking to get back into work. We are committed to giving back to our local community: * SILC is our counselling service providing free, confidential counselling for the Launceston community. * Our community larder for Launceston opened in May 2022. The focus of the community larder is reducing food waste and giving local people access to nutritious food that would otherwise go to waste.

Dr. Aygul Budak graduated from Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa, Faculty of Medicine in 1996. She successfully completed the trainings of the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Health, Turkish Medical Association and Istanbul University on occupational medicine and workplace safety, and worked as an active occupational health physician for 12 years. She came to the UK in 2018 to provide first-aid, food and hygiene, risk assessment, and health and safety advice to Turkish businesspeople with language barriers. She established Dirosa Consulting LTD in 2018 to give consulting services to Turkish businesspeople based on their needs. She is happy to help individuals who require counselling.

The organisation was formed due to an increased demand for first aid knowledge in underprivileged areas, to decrease untimely deaths and observe an overall growth of social mobility. Aiming for the stars The key objectives of our workshops are based on the ‘ripple’ principle where knowledge can be passed from students to family members. FP will continue to maintain a relationship with all project participants via networking. Additionally, we belive that the ‘ripple’ effect can reduce deaths within communities. The organisation will provide the appropriate facilities to enable good practice and rigorous training.
