The goal of YJLC to be a centre of excellence on youth justice law came at a time when very few resources existed for professionals and there was no requirement that lawyers representing children in the criminal justice have any kind of specialist training. The legal landscape has progressed in a short time, in no small part due to the work of YJLC. YJLC works in collaboration with civil society, legal bodies and educational entities to ensure that the capacity and knowledge of those working with children in the criminal justice system is constantly evolving and improving. It was always clear to us that children in the criminal justice system should be represented by specialists. The aim in creating YJLC was to fundamentally improve the way these children are represented. YJLC has exceeded those original dreams and continues to grow, support and celebrate this important community of people providing a key, frontline role in society. Animal Welllness Center is a well-established, full-service, small animal veterinary hospital providing comprehensive medical, surgical and dental care. Additionally, we offer boarding and grooming services to our clients. We are one of a few veterinary clinics, serving Royal Palm Beach and Wellington, FL that are independantly owned and operated. We provide a broad spectrum of diagnostic procedures through in-house testing and the use of external laboratories. We also work closely with local specialty referral practices when special diagnostic procedures are required. Our clinic includes a well-stocked pharmacy, in-hospital surgery suite, in-house x-ray capabilities, a closely supervised hospitalization area, and indoor boarding kennels with outdoor walking areas. Heavy metal therapy is an online resource and community of people who find metal music helpful for mental well being. It is a place to find and share experiences of how metal has helped us, the meaning we take from songs or lyrics, and play lists that we have found useful. It is for everyone, so we don’t judge each others metal preferences. If you would like to share your own recovery story about how metal has helped you please contact us, we can make stories anonymous if you prefer. We continue to develop a few shared playlists under heavy metal therapy, which can be expanding and changing. We like people to share their own music or art if it comes with a reason/message to do with mental health. We may be a small and select group, but we are open to suggestions of expanding. Hopefully over time this will become led by and shaped by those who use it, so it’s not set in stone, it can grow and change. See this video for a bit more about us. Also, all things metal tend to be quite sweary and have dark themes, so there’s quite a bit of that in the stories and playlists.

I started practicing woodcarving the year before the pandemic, driven by a natural inclinations for natural crafts, and also as a way to decompress and ease the stress of working as a musician/busker full time. It turned out to be an activity that quite literally kept me going through the difficulties of lockdown years and consequentially I’ve gained skills and developed confidence in the craft even if completely self-taught. As soon as the borders opened up, I went on a long journey across the US crafting for donations on the streets and working on private commissions, making up stories for my hand-carved characters and sharing them on social media while constantly absorbing inspiration and ideas. Ultimately, I started teaching my first classes and workshops, and found a new passion in teaching alongside the carving itself. Once back in Scotland I decided to put all that energy into building a community and developing more skills and possibilities to bring together ancient natural skills, tradition, creativity, innovation, mindfulness, well-being, storytelling, mental health and more, all in one room, with just a little block of wood and a sharp tool. And a cup of tea or coffee.

MY PHILOSOPHY I'm passionate about how the therapeutic relationship can facilitate insight and believe in the human capacity for change. My philosophy is that every person has worth, the right to decide their own future and a person should feel safe and secure in order to explore their sense of self. If a person is provided with the right conditions for growth - they'll always move towards change The type of therapy I offer is relational, person-focussed and yet challenging – meaning I work with a wide variety of presenting issues. I have worked with a diversity of clients and mental health concerns - predominantly age 16+, experiencing anxiety, low mood, depression, trauma, grief, loneliness or difficulties in interpersonal relationships. I believe that through understanding how you are in the world, you can create a greater self-awareness and understanding for self and other. I describe myself as fascinated by the stories people tell themselves & of themselves, and the affect of interpersonal relationships. Alongside being a psychotherapist, I’m also an EMDR Therapist. EMDR (Eye movement desensitisation & reprocessing) is now part of WHO & NICE guidelines and part of the suite of therapies offered by the NHS. We aim to diversify the Creative Sector. We achieve this by identifying, supporting and promoting non-traditional artists and filmmakers who might not otherwise consider a career in the sector. FILM: Through work with such organisations as Aik Saath and SWIPE, our Slough based YES programme provides free workshops in filmmaking open to all 11-25 year olds. ART: With the support of our Arts Council England partners HOME, we run quarterly free Meetups for all aspiring or professional artists aged 18+ alongside our new Arts Forum for leaders across Berkshire. Our clients ranging from BAFTA, BFI, Creative England, BBC, and Channel 4 contract us to devise and deliver regional and national outreach for their own training, recruitment and commissioning programmes. 2.TALENT DEVELOPMENT & PROMOTION Our goal is to develop the skills of a diverse talent pool and prepare each individual to progress on to successful paid employment in the creative industry. Through The Creative Collective, our talent development programme comprising a range of accredited and informal bespoke training workshops, as well as our one-to-one personalised Individual Progress Plan support, we ensure progress through networking, mentoring, accredited training as well as exclusive work placements, apprenticeships and connecting with funders. We have project funding from Arts Council England and work closely with NPO theatre company RIFCO. In film, our core partner (since 1999) is Pinewood Studios but we also regularly work with BFI, Screen Skills and Creative England . 3. CREATIVE & COMMERCIAL PRODUCTION From developing individual talent to supporting larger projects ranging from producing a first piece of art, to shooting your first drama, our focus is on producing projects that tell stories from new perspectives not currently seen in the mainstream media or art world. We co-develop, script, shoot and edit high-quality, emotive and engaging, cost-effective documentary, drama, animation and motion graphics and have a talent for connecting charitable and commercial clients. Through our ground breaking partnerships with companies like the BBC, Channel 4 and Disney, we continue to explore and build on new immersive content. We have developed new projects and ways of working through collaborations with global companies like SEGRO and innovative funders like The Rothschild Foundation.

I’m Emily, the founder of Giggling Panda Chinese School, we started our exciting journey of creating the best Chinese school in 2015. As the name suggest, Giggling Panda is a happy school, where our creative teachers give our pupils the best Chinese language education surrounded with endless fun. We strongly believe curiosity and fun are the best motivation for children to learn anything, our teachers are magicians, they take our pupils onto a journey full of fascinating stories and knowledge that excite them all the time. Our philosophy is to teach language in a completely different way. In our opinion, learning a new language shouldn’t be boring or dry as sawdust, instead, it should be colourful, dynamic, and full of excitement. Children are always intrigued by the interesting facts and knowledge, and using a different language in getting access to those knowledge is the ultimate goal we have in Giggling Panda. We live in a completely new world now, the old-style learning has a lot of limitations, and we want to remove those limitations, so the bright young minds can be better fed. We constantly ask ourselves to relentlessly focus on customer service, just like the children deserve the best education, our parents deserve the best customer service. We put a lot of energy on building a community where our parents not only able to send their children for the best education, but also feel being part of a big family where they can get a lot of additional information and support. We will continue to work with other education institutions to create a centre of excellence for creative skills, and this will always be written in our mission. We celebrate culture diversity, our children come from different social background, and everyone should be proud of their own culture, the soil we provide at Giggling Panda is not only for our pupils to show their individual talent but also to be the little ambassadors of their own community.
