Russell MacKechnie-Guire holds a PhD in Equine Biomechanics, graduating from the Royal Veterinary College in 2019. Russell’s thesis was titled ‘The Relationship between Saddle and Rider Kinematics, Equine Locomotion, and Thoracolumbar Pressures in Sports Horses’. Russell is based at Centaur Biomechanics, a company which he founded in 2006. He has extensively researched the effect that tack (saddle, bridle and girth) and the rider has on equine health and performance. Russell holds a post at Hartpury University as a Reader in Equine Biomechanics. Russell’s current area of research is horse-saddle-rider interaction, spinal kinematics in horses when ridden over ground, the effect that rider asymmetry has on equine back movement, and from a rehabilitation perspective, the effect that training aids and pole work exercise has on back movement. In addition, Russell collaborates with researchers on various research projects associated with equine health, rehabilitation and performance. Russell is a consultant for the British Equestrian Federations World Class, Team GBR programme and is a member of Team GBR’s Scientific Advisory Group. Russell also sits on the Society of Master Saddlers Scientific Advisory Group, and is part of the executive committee for the International Task force on Laterality in Sports Horses. Russell is also a Pilates instructor, Intrinsic (Human) Biomechanics Trainer, a BHSI equestrian coach, and a keen competitor in dressage and show jumping.

AUDE is run by an executive committee of university directors of estates that provides strategic oversight to the organisation. They make recommendations on several of the association aspects such as subscription fees and the annual budget as well as managing the election of office holders. Members vote at the AGM to apply or amend recommendations, and elect the officers. The executive committee meets four times a year, discussing and responding to matters presented by the fellow directors (directly and through regional chairs), and by the executive director and staff team. The committee receives the executive director’s quarterly report, which contains updates from each of the topic-based working groups. The meetings are also used to discuss and act on the organisation’s financial performance throughout the year. Furthermore, the meetings provide a useful sounding board and guide to the executive director, Jane White, and the AUDE team in determining the services provided to members and projects undertaken. The team comprises of five members of staff employed on permanent contracts: Executive Director (1.0 FTE) Projects and Engagement Manager (1.0FTE) Events Manager (0.8 FTE) Communications Officer (0.5 FTE) Events and Projects Officer (0.8 FTE) AUDE is a not-for-profit organisation and receives its core funding from member institution subscriptions and training and development activities. It is sustainable, with healthy financial reserves in line with its agreed financial model.

Northern Talent is a dynamic agency with a fresh approach to acting management and casting. We supply professional actors, supporting artistes and models within the North West and East of England to all aspects of the industry including theatre, commercials, television and film. The agency is run by an actress Rachael Delaney who has worked in the industry for over 20 years and gained a BA(Hons) at University. Rachael has worked on stage, television dramas and commercials. She has had many presenting roles for TV and events. The actress leads weekly drama classes in Bradford and Skipton from ages 7 to adult who want to break into TV, Film and theatre. The classes are not only for actors but also for individuals that suffer from low confidence and self-esteem issues. Rachael will help you to believe in yourself again and fight back at this shark eat shark industry/world. She continuously works with casting agents and directors to give actors and students the opportunities to build up their portfolios to help them break into the industry. Many of Northern Talent's artists have already landed roles in major TV and Film productions. Sports Injury, Sports Medicine, Injury Prevention, and Performance TrainingOver the years, MTS has worked with variety of clients including Division I universities, private physical therapy clinics, large market health systems, personal training studios, and high schools. Mitch has personally worked with thousands of athletes throughout his career. His clients not only have won world series rings, played in the NFL and MLS, and competed in the Olympics, but they have achieved great personal success in local competitive events and leagues. His clientele has ranged from 6 to 54 years old. In addition to being the founder and President of MTS, Mitch serves as the Prevention, Rehab, and Physical Performance Coordinator for 17 sports, as well as the strength and conditioning coach for Women’s basketball and Volleyball at Missouri State University. At MSU, he utilizes his knowledge of performance enhancement and sports medicine to coordinate the rehab and injury prevention programs for all varsity sports while simultaneously improving the athletic performance for the Lady Bear teams. His areas of interest included functional movement and biomechanics, high speed treadmill training, and metabolics. He believes that sports are not only a great outlet for people of all ages and levels to get exercise, express themselves and relieve stress, but it teaches us all a great deal about ourselves and others.
