I started my career in HR, working my way up from HR Administrator to partnering with senior leaders to support organisational change and growth. I loved the variety of HR but the best bit for me was having great one to one conversations, asking insightful questions to allow people the time and space to really think - and seeing them grow as a result. I’m very privileged that I can now focus on this as a career as a Coach. I’ve worked in a variety of industries, including Defense, Aviation and Technology but the part of my job that I always loved was having 1:1 purposeful conversations, that helped the person solve a problem for themselves or see something in a new way. My first experience of being coached was early on in my career where I was able to discover insights and a level of self-awareness that I still reflect on today. I’ve since had coaching sessions at key points in my career when I’ve felt stuck and am a huge advocate of the transformation it can bring. I love seeing the ‘a-ha’ moments that a coaching conversation brings to help people to move forward. I’m excited to meet future clients to explore your story and help you with your own transformation. My Qualifications I graduated from the University of West of England (UWE) with a 2:1 in Business Studies. I then went onto to study for a Diploma in Human Resource Management, also at UWE. In 2019 I completed an Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) Fundamentals of Coaching and Mentoring, and am currently studying an ILM level 7 Executive & Senior Level Coaching with In Good Company.

Pilates works for a wide range of people – from top athletes and dancers, senior citizens, women rebounding from pregnancy, and people at various stages of physical rehabilitation. The Six Pilates Principles: Centering – Control – Flow – Breath – Precision – Concentration Core strength and torso stability are the key elements of Pilates, this is what sets it apart from many other types of exercise. The core muscles are the deep, internal muscles of the abdomen and back. When the core muscles are strong and doing their job, as they are trained to do in Pilates, they work in tandem with the more superficial muscles of the trunk to support the spine and movement. As you develop your core strength you develop stability throughout your entire torso. This is one of the ways Pilates helps people overcome back pain. Having the knowledge and skills to be able to deal with an emergency situation can provide confidence, peace of mind and can ultimately save lives. Little Lambs First Aid is a small and independent business that has been set up to give parents and carers the skills and confidence to deal with accident and emergency situations. I like to think of Little Lambs as Una's legacy. Una was our first baby who changed our lives forever. Our beautiful girl was still born 2 days shy of me being 42 weeks pregnant. After Una was born asleep, I became very anxious about bad things happening and we then went through a miscarriage too. When I finally became pregnant again, I was so anxious throughout the whole entire pregnancy. I thought that when our daughter was born that this anxiety would leave me, but in fact it became worse. I felt so helpless not knowing how to protect my new baby, not knowing exactly what to do if she choked, got injured or sick or if she stopped breathing. It was my job to protect her and I felt like a failure. I had to sort this situation out, so I looked for a local baby and child first aid course on the Wirral. Well, there weren't any, they just didn't exist. In the end I did book onto one, but it was far away, it was all day, it was expensive, and I couldn't take my baby with me. After attending the course, I thought, "You know what, I can do this! I can get the right qualifications and deliver courses that are more family focused, that are affordable and accessible and adapted to different people's wants and needs". So, I got qualified, had another beautiful rainbow baby, and Una's Legacy - Little Lambs First Aid ran its first ever course in October 2016. I don't want anyone else to have to go through losing a child, especially if it can be prevented by learning some basic first aid skills and having some awareness. I learnt the hard way, that knowledge is power, and awareness is everything. For every person we train here at Little Lambs we donate £1 to two charities. One of those charities is Kicks Count because if I had realised that Una's reduced movements meant that she was in trouble, then she would still be here. #movementsmatter #awarensssaveslives In order to deliver the best training, I have researched and attended numerous first aid courses throughout the Northwest. I have become an accredited trainer with the Level 3 Award in Education and Training (EAT), and I am fully qualified in delivering first aid training, specialising in paediatric first aid. I have a background in biological sciences (Master of Science MSc) and first-hand experience of being a mum of two little ones myself. Little Lambs First Aid courses are informative, fun, accessible, professional, and personable. I not only work in the first aid industry, but I have a passion to improve people’s paediatric first aid skills. Little Lambs First Aid gives people the knowledge and confidence in knowing what to do when caring for little ones should something happen. It is our job as parents to protect our children. Campus Creation In 1865, when Methodists in Ireland numbered only 23,000 out of a total population of six million, it was decided to build a college in Belfast, partly for the training of Methodist ministers and partly as a school for boys. Money was collected, mainly from the Irish Methodists but with help from England and America, and 15 acres of land were acquired on what were the very outskirts of the city at that time.This land included the present College Gardens as well as the site on which the College stands. The foundation stone of the New Wesleyan College at Belfast (as it was originally known) was laid on 24th August 1865 by Sir William McArthur, a Londonderry businessman, who later became Lord Mayor of London. Three years later, on 18th August 1868, the College was opened with 141 pupils. Just after the opening of the College a proposal that "young ladies" be educated on equal terms with the boys was accepted by the committee of Management, with the result that from the third month of its existence Methodist College has been a co-educational establishment.In 1891 Sir William McArthur bequeathed a large sum of money towards the foundation of the hall of residence for girl boarders. The College steadily flourished and the enrolment increased. There was a rapid growth of numbers after 1920, when the theological department moved to Edgehill College thus releasing more accommodation for the school's use. Campus Development The College has continued to grow, with each decade seeing new developments and initiatives. The extensive grounds of Pirrie Park were acquired in 1932, and Downey House, one of two Houses in the Preparatory Department, was opened shortly afterwards. The Whitla Hall, built with a bequest from Sir William Whitla, was opened in December 1935. In 1950, Fullerton House was established as a Preparatory Department on the Malone Road Campus and a major rebuilding scheme, which included the construction of 'K', 'L', and 'M' blocks, the large gymnasium, the Lecture Room, the Home Economics kitchens and canteen, and much additional renovation, was completed in 1954. New pavilions at Pirrie Park, the College boat house at Stranmillis Lock, and all-weather hockey pitches at Deramore added to the recreational facilities. The 1960s and 1970s saw continuous building on the main site. This included science laboratories, a number of general and specialist class rooms a further science block, an indoor swimming pool and a new Music department.In celebration of the Centenary, a large sum of money was raised through the generosity of 'old boys' and 'old girls', parents, staff, and others. Part of this was spent on the College Chapel. The fine organ in the chapel was a gift from Corpus Christi College, Cambridge. In 1972, a Sixth Form Centre was opened, with provision for recreational activities, private study and tutorial teaching. The 1990s saw a number of major developments: a new Sports Hall, a new Art department, the Walton Building containing suites of classrooms for Technology and laboratories for Science, a Computer Studies suite and a Heritage Centre. In June 2005, the new Boathouse was opened at Stranmillis Lock.Over the past ten years the iconic original College building, School House, and McArthur Hall have both been restored and refurbished to provide exceptional facilities that combine the architectural heritage of the College with the best of modern educational resources.

You Can Cook is a celebration of food, people and cultures!  You Can Cook was established in 2007 and was set up to encourage and empower local communities to make informed choices about their food and health.  Healthy eating initiatives are promoted through every service from cookery classes, demonstrations, workshops, talks and seminars with training for young people in primary and secondary schools, youth groups, families, elderly, disadvantaged communities and individuals with allergies and food intolerances. A safe and relaxed environment is created where people from all ages can come together, socialise, rediscover and explore a healthier approach to cooking with simple and nutritious ingredients using seasonal and local produce. You Can Cook has created an off-shoot, You Can Grow which helps to raise awareness of how and where our food comes from and also introduces the concept of growing food free of chemical fertilisers and pesticides in client’s gardens and allotments.  This is done by teaching clients how to convert their outdoor/indoor paces into edible gardens or working together in community allotments using organic/permaculture principles. Another initiative to come out of this off-shoot is the launch of a book for growers in Scotland, aimed at aspiring growers of all ages, beginners and experts too. The book is a simple, practical guide to help purchasers take the first steps to growing their own food and have fun at the same time. There is no need to buy expensive starter kits to get growing as the book is full of easy to find and use household items that are normally thrown away and which can be recycled to help in the growing process. This is the first book published by a Community Interest Company and Social Enterprise aimed at Scottish growers. The book is priced at £12.99 and proceeds from sales mean that the Organisation is able to reach more families and communities across Scotland, helping them to grow and cook their own delicious food. The book is available in all big and independent bookstores in the UK, including online through our website.
