Ingrid Lacey founded Face to Face in 1987 and brings over twenty years of experience in coaching communication skills. She was one of the first actresses to bring actor based training to the corporate world. Over the years she has worked with individuals and groups throughout the private and public sector at all levels. Together with Sally Edwards she is co-creator of the method Face to Face use in their workshops. Ingrid graduated from The Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and has worked as an actress in TV, film and theatre. She is best known from the award winning TV comedy Drop The Dead Donkey. She has worked for The Royal Court Theatre and the West End. Ingrid is a regular voice over artist. Sally Edwards Sally Edwards has been coaching in communication skills with Face to Face for over five years where she has put her considerable experience as a performer to excellent use in designing and delivering dynamic and creative workshops. Previously, she worked as a training consultant with other actor based companies and as an independent voice coach. Sally graduated from The Central School of Speech & Drama as a qualified Teacher and Voice Specialist. She has worked for many years as an actress in theatre, television and film. She has worked for the Royal Shakespeare Company and The Royal National Theatre amongst many others. She was a regular in London Bridge on ITV.

Art Play is a space based in Shoreditch, that provides creative workshops for both children and adults. If you are looking to learn a new skill, make new friends or simply have fun doing something a bit different, we are the place for you! Here at Art Play London, we offer a wide range of creative workshops for adults and children of all ages. We believe in the importance of expressing ourselves creatively, freeing our imaginations and most importantly, having fun! Whether you're an artist already or looking to try something new, we offer a huge selection of classes for all abilities. Art Play has a strong focus on the environment and aims to educate children and adults on their environmental impact through art. We therefore use a variety of sustainable mediums and materials. We are a part of the worldwide Precious Plastic Community, which means we have a plastic collection point for HDPE plastic, which would otherwise end up in landfills or the ocean. Once collected, the plastic is shredded and melted using equipment we have in our studio. It can then be turned into useful objects such as plant pots and coasters, and can even be turned into art! Art Play London was founded by Silva Castellani in 2018, starting out as pop-up events around London. We set up our studio space in February 2022 and are now permanently based in Shoreditch.

About After studying illustration, Stacey Chapman worked as a designer of interiors for events and corporate launches. She began Freehand Machine Embroidery after viewing the process on Kirstie Allsopp’s Channel 4 show. In November 2013 she founded her business, Art Sea Craft Sea, creating pet portraits in thread, to commission. Her unique application of the freehand machine embroidery process and background as an illustrator, enables her to create strikingly life like thread paintings. Since then she has exhibited around the UK at events ranging from Crufts to Countryfile Live and Kirstie Allsopp's Handmade Fair. Stacey was proud to be taken under the wing of Janome in 2016 and has taught workshops at their custom built sewing school at their HQ in Stockport. Chapman has gone on to teach creative sewing workshops around the country from regular sessions at John Lewis in Oxford Street to her hometown of Margate, Kent. For these sessions at the luxe Sands Hotel, Stacey was nominated for a Tourism and Hospitality Award in 2019 as well as being shortlisted for the National Needlecraft Awards in the same year. In 2020 started teaching online for the prestigious teaching college for the W.I., Denman at Home. As well as writing her monthly column for the UK's best selling sewing magazine, Love Sewing, Stacey still creates and exhibits in local galleries with her vintage style portraiture and fashion Illustrations featuring up cycled retro fabrics, revisiting a technique she began at school.

I am a Devon based textile artist creating contemporary textile art inspired by the coast and countryside. With no formal training I took up free motion machine embroidery in 2012 and over time I have gravitated towards textile art, developing my own unique style by using organza and net to give a soft watercolour feel to my work. Working loosely from photographs, but often directly from my imagination, each piece of my work evolves as it is created. I prefer not to use a sketchbook, instead allowing my creativity to guide me as each piece develops. Colour and texture are big influences for me and where possible I prefers to source up cycled textiles for their variety and individuality. I love the idea that these materials can be given a new purpose, and can be appreciated in a totally different way for many more years to come. As well as my original artwork my range also includes digital and giclee fine art prints, greeting cards and textile art kits, all of which can be found in my Etsy shop https://www.etsy.com/shop/AlisonWhateley?ref=hdr_shop_menu I also welcome commissions of all sizes, and will work with you to get the result you are looking for. I’m Sarah, founder and teacher at CRAFT. I opened CRAFT in February 2020, it’s been a dream for sometime to have a space to be able to teach a subject I love so much. I started sewing as a young girl, sewing together scraps of fabric from my mums fabric box, altering clothes and creating new ones. I’ve always been something I have always enjoyed. I graduated with a first class honours degree in Education in 2009. After graduating I took up a teaching post in a secondary school, specialising in textiles and food technology. After having my first child in 2012 I decided not to return to the classroom and started a business making and selling children’s wear from home. When my second daughter arrived in 2016 I decided to start teaching again. I taught in the workshop room at the back of Annie’s fabric shop most weekends. Workshops became popular and from that CRAFT was born. I wanted to create a space that could be used to teach sewing workshops but also could work with other creative areas. I hope that when people visit CRAFT they feel relaxed and enjoy spending time in the workshop space. I really love teaching here. I love sharing my knowledge, my top tips and my expertise. My aim is to give my students confidence and to share my love and passion of sewing. I want everyone to leave feeling excited to start their next sewing project .

Hello, I'm Ruth, a yarn spinner and spinning teacher based online and in the beautiful city of Norwich. I call myself an urban spinner. Spinning in the city at first sight has many limitations, I do not have the space or resources for spinning that living in the countryside would afford. Instead I make the most of living in a city and adapt spinning processes to the urban environment. The hints and tips I have learnt from years of spinning in this way give a unique perspective to my spinning workshops. I can still buy fleece from a farmer although I have no transport of my own. I can clean fleece though I have a tiny bathroom and no outside space to dry it. Spinning is not only possible but easy in these situations and my online courses will show you how. The Slow Yarn Spinner is the culmination of a 10-year fascination with yarn. My passion for Spinning has grown from a desire to make my own knitting yarn from sustainable materials to encompass the whole process of turning fleece into yarn. From choosing fleeces, cleaning them, processing, designing yarns and spinning them I love every step of the process. In 2019, I added to my practical knowledge of spinning though my MA dissertation researching spinning as living cultural heritage in Britain today. It is this love of materials, skills and heritage that I put into my workshops.

Dance. Fly. Run on walls. Off The Wall Aerial Dance was founded by Becky, Charlotte and Grace, three dancers and aerialists based in the southwest in 2019. Their work focuses on vertical dance (wall running) as well as other dance and aerial practices and explores the wide range of movement that can be discovered by both floor based and harness based techniques. They create performances and workshops that embody a sense of empowerment, flight, experimentation and artistry aimed to leave audiences and participants feeling enthused and exhilarated.
