Bashir Ahmed Masjid is a forerunner in calling people to the beautiful religion of Islam, in accordance with the teachings of the Qur’an & Sunnah.Bashir Ahmed Masjid is the second largest purpose built Mosque in Hampshire. Inspired by their parents to serve the community, our founding trustees designed and constructed the Mosque, which opened to the public in December 2013. Spread over two floors, the Mosque can accommodate 800 worshippers at any one time. In addition to the daily congregational prayers, the Mosque provides educational classes for both adults and children, as well as a range of religious and secular activities and services. Situated close to the University of Southampton, our congregation reflects the very diverse and multicultural nature of an international educational hub. You will find worshippers of all denominations from across the world, each adding to the ambience of the Mosque.

Perry Foundation allocates most of its income to funding postgraduate studentships intended to be of benefit to UK agriculture, but also gives smaller awards for other relevant projects. The Foundation's Chairman is Scott Norris, an Essex farmer, graduate of Nottingham University and Nuffield Scholar. The members of the Board of Trustees are people who have wide experience in food and farming matters. Perry Foundation is pleased to report that it has also appointed two Patrons, Lord Boswell and Dr Ian Macpherson, both of whom were former Board members. In 2002, an initiative by Dr Ian Macpherson, supported by Sir Don Curry, led to the establishment of the Agrifood Charities Partnership (AFCP) to improve the effectiveness of charities in the food and farming sectors. Lawrence Corr is a DW/BI designer and modelstormer who has worked in management information / decision support / business intelligence for more than 25 years and has specialised in data warehouse design since 1996. He has developed, reviewed and enhanced BI solutions within aerospace, insurance, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, telecommunications, engineering, manufacturing, television, financial services, e-commerce and retail, for client in Europe, USA, the Middle East and Africa. Lawrence held the position of data warehouse practice leader at Linc Systems Corporation, CT, USA and vice-president of data warehousing products at Teleran Technologies, NJ, USA. In 2000, he was invited by Ralph Kimball to become an associate and teach data warehousing classes for Kimball University in Europe and South Africa during 2000 and 2001. Nowadays he works completely independently through DecisionOne Consulting, based in the UK, providing agile data consultancy and training worldwide.

I first came across the Alexander Technique when I was looking for something to help me stop getting tension headaches, lower back pain, and neck problems. Finding a teacher and learning the principles, ideas and concepts of the technique gave me an appreciation of what I was doing to myself that created the pain, as well as how I was putting myself wrong in some other areas of my life too! I learned the good news: that if I was causing my difficulties, then I also had the power to stop causing them. I have become a more flexible, happier, calmer and easier to be with person. I move in a more co-ordinated way and have re-found the joy in moving I remember having as a child. I no longer have any tension headaches, neck problems or lower back aches. I feel more at home with myself than I ever have in the past. I am a teacher trained by the ITM (Interactive Teaching Method Association). This means that I studied for four years and passed four written and one practical exam. I spent six months within the course as a student teacher. I graduated in 2003. I am a member of the ITM Teachers’ Association and have a BSc (hons) degree from the University of Bristol. I have taught individuals, small groups and evening classes, as well as workshops and courses for businesses, colleges, the WEA, the WI and the local council. I have run workshops at festivals such as the Larmer Tree and the Big Green Gathering. I have taught music students at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. I also taught students at the Musical Theatre School in Somerset, and dance students at Bristol Dance Centre. I love teaching this work because I love seeing my students improve their movement, their thinking and the way they see themselves as well as the way they see the world.

I am Dorothea Scales. I have founded Fidas Consent Training because I want to share my knowledge and experience of dealing with sexual assaults and rapes which I gained during my career as a Detective Sergeant. I have combined my passion for safeguarding with my enthusiasm for training – having an MA in education and being a qualified teacher gave me the skills set to develop and deliver my courses. Since leaving the Police in October 2021, I have already delivered to hundreds of students, pupils and their teachers, to Designated Safeguarding Leaders and University students, colleges, youth organisations, charities, and apprentices   I have combined my expertise as an ex-Detective Sergeant in Safeguarding and my experience as a teacher, to develop my completely unique consent workshops, presentations and now a cost effective eLearning package . I have trained Detectives, Police cadets and Police Special constables and probationers. I have developed courses for Police officers in dealing sensitively with victims of rape and confronting myths and misconceptions. I have lead  leading a Pilot project for Durham County Council in delivering consent workshops to local secondary schools.   Fidas Consent Training is about sharing my passion for safeguarding the truly vulnerable and giving every person an informed choice about consent.   As a qualified, experienced, and passionate safeguarding specialist, I have 16 years’ experience as a Police Officer, protecting the rights of children, young people, and adults. I have always been driven by making a positive difference to the vulnerable. During my time in education and the Police, I have developed additional skills in risk management, people leadership and managing the most complex investigations which demand a sensitive and compassionate response. Victim focused and people centred in my work, I championed change in the police and built strong alliances with partner organisations As a Detective Sergeant within the Safeguarding unit I dealt with victims and suspects of rape and sexual assaults on a daily basis, often from report to court. I know and understand all the devastating consequences of not understanding or ignoring consent and want to share my experience with young people for a better future. I am a qualified Teacher and Safeguarding instructor committed to sharing my experience and expertise through my training courses. We are Rose & Natalie, the duo behind still studio! We’re both creatives, working in the industry and between us we have more than 15 years experience working in various creative roles and on countless design projects. We both graduated from the Printed Textiles course at Leeds Arts University and have been working alongside each other since 2019. We’ve started still studio this year to create an accessible space for creatives wanting to host workshops and small events in Leeds city centre. We know the barriers that artists can face and we wanted to break some of those down and introduce a space dedicated to the needs of creatives in Leeds and beyond!
