A Changing Landscape Currently there is no facility for anyone to learn about the typical hormone highway from menstruation to menopause within the framework of formal or other education systems. There is a significant health and social care crisis arising from the lack of understanding for menstruators reaching the point of hormonal decline, combined with large numbers for whom support, and historically education, has been missing. I’ve set up a community interest company to offer coaching and support to people, including those who wouldn’t normally consider it or be able to access it. This can help them to gain clarity about what they want, increase their resilience and develop an action plan for their future. It’s about 10 years since I first had some coaching sessions, to help me find a new direction after redundancy. I really appreciated being able to confide in someone who was independent of my life, yet committed to my progress. It was very satisfying to have the space to consider what really mattered to me and to explore my hopes and fears. I started to see my situation differently and began to trust myself to follow the direction that seemed to be beckoning me. Years later, a chance opportunity to go to a taster session in coach training led me to enrol on the course, followed by a course in Advanced Coaching Skills. This has helped me to build on the experience I’ve gained in working with people over the course of my career and apply my learning to help others. I’ve worked in a range of interesting projects over the years: Talking to people to find out how work affects their health and helping to reduce the impactChalk heart on bench Evaluating how engaging in live music can help people in healthcare settings Working with voluntary organisations to develop new strategies Implementing research to improve the health of patient groups Interviewing prisoners about their health and social care needs Supporting those with a health condition or disability to find training, volunteering or employment I’ve seen and experienced the benefits that coaching can bring, and look forward to reaching out to people who want to change their life, enabling them to look inside for their own inspiration.

Location Routes Management

We are a UK Film & TV Agency specialising in “on the move” filming. This ranges from a routes library of film-friendly driving routes, consultancy services, training and a talent agency service. For each route through our library, we offer 4K dash cam footage (front & rear footage in day and night views), a digital map and supporting documents for the locations team on the day. We are innovating the way in which we scout for “on the move” locations. We hope to also increase the training offered & level of knowledge in this area among film crew Oliver Laurenson-Gore – Location Manager & Scout set up Location Routes in early 2022 after his experience of working on PIRATES (BFI/BBC Films) back in 2019 & 2020. This roadtrip from North to Central London involving a car being the central aspect of the film. made him understand the challenges of “filming on the move”. He often found from his own experience that it was challenging to show Directors and other creatives involved suitable roads without recording the route. There was also a number of times in his career that he had to change the route last minute which has caused additional stress and wasted shooting time. Why offer this service and is it needed? Think of how many Film & TV shows that have any form of vehicles driving or stunt scenes on roads…it’s most shows! Roads are getting more difficult to find with more lane reduction programmes and cycle lanes in cities and towns across the UK. Location Managers are being asked to find more locations than ever before in tighter turnaround times. Location Routes is here to help

I started life as a primary class teacher with a scraped Grade VII piano and ‘O’ Level music as my only musical background. I was soon given the task of teaching music throughout a school of 4-8 year olds and realised I did not have the skills or knowledge to be able to do this effectively. My wise headteacher sent me on a Kodály course and my world started to change… Now, after many years of learning from amazing teachers, I am passionate about this wonderful, structured, joyful way to teach and to learn musical skills, knowledge and understanding – it is my raison d’être! I grew up with the unshakeable belief that I was ‘not musical’ – because I was never a good pianist, I couldn’t do aural tests, or sight-sing, or write a dictation; theory never made much sense to me. I perceived that ‘performance’, ‘aural’ and ‘theory’ were three separate entities. It was only Kodály study that made me realise that they are all interconnected and also part of this whole wonderful thing called ‘music’. It also unlocked all the music that was inside me and which I never knew was there. My passion is bringing musical skills, knowledge and understanding to a huge variety of people – to children; to adults who are both professional or amateur musicians; to both specialist and generalist teachers. I have realised that Kodály musicianship has so much to offer a vast range of people, including choral singers, class teachers and professional players. A particular interest in recent years has been discovering the benefits of Kodály musicianship to those working in different styles and genres, including pop, electronic music and modern a cappella singing.

All over the world, parents, educators, business leaders and experts, are all trying to identify the skills and abilities that young children need to succeed in the future. It is estimated that 65% of children entering primary school today will ultimately end up working in completely new job positions that do not exist yet. The world is changing and education needs to change with it. All children develop in their own way and at their own pace. Our mission is to help children discover their gift, and encourage teachers and educators to nurture it, so that no child is left behind. Our online platform enables teachers to spend more time teaching and less time on administration by replacing tedious paperwork with a digital, easy to use system. This speeds up class planning and keeps material organised, ready to use and impossible to lose! In this modern age where technology is intricately intertwined with our everyday lives, we believe in using technology the right way. No more mountains of folders to sieve through, no more hours wasted trying to retrieve last year’s work... believe us when we say we’ve been there before! As teachers, we know how much time is taken away from doing what we really love. As parents, we understand the desire to give our children the best, and to provide them with opportunities we didn’t have. As people, we know how it felt to lose our confidence at school and the pressure to fit into a box that was not shaped to our needs and talents. We’ve dedicated years to create our PrimaryLeap platform which centres around progressive learning, allowing children to gain confidence quickly and educators to easily detect where a child needs the most help. When we help a child believe in themselves we empower them for life.

At Siobhan Davies Studios we believe in the power of dance for artistic and social change. We connect artists, neighbours and audiences through investigative, collaborative and creative activities at our studios and beyond. Artist and female-led since we were founded, Siobhan Davies Studios has been part of the contemporary dance landscape since the 1980s. Our studios are a place to play, question and experiment and we bring this spirit into all areas of our work. In the last five years, shaped by leadership changes, we have renewed focus on bringing marginalised voices to the fore to evolve a broader community of artists, participants, audiences and workers. We engage the public through classes, performances and co-created participatory activities prioritising engagement with local communities. From 2020, increased budgets in access support for artists and audiences aim to break the status quo of privilege surpassing inclusion. Current local partnerships include working with neighbouring Charlotte Sharman primary school, and charities Su Mano Amiga and Good Chance Theatre. Our award-winning public arts building is in the diverse and densely populated area of Elephant and Castle. We share our space with Independent Dance, with whom we hold Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation consortium status. Find out more about visiting our studios here. Read about our founder, Siobhan Davies, and the history of the company and the building on the Our Founder and History pages of the website.
