CCF strives to improve the social and economic wellbeing of disadvantaged communities by providing opportunities for people to develop their skills, gain qualifications and improve their health. Set up in 1997, Community Connect Foundation (CCF) has been working in partnership with many private and public sector organisations to improve the social and economic wellbeing of the disadvantaged communities in inner city areas. Through its work, CCF has developed, in effect, into a Community Anchor serving a much wider range of residents, communities and geographical areas. Whilst its base in Smethwick is an important one for its ability to reach out to communities in Smethwick, much of its work is delivered across a larger geographical area. With the help and support of managed funding from a variety of sources, we have been able to provide quality service provisions to more than 8,000 people. A substantial number of these people have gained qualifications and moved on to find employment.It demonstrates our determination to reach out into all sections of our communities to provide essential training opportunities, heath advice and youth development support to those that need it most. The success of CCF relies on the charity’s strong partnerships with statutory providers and community-based organisations. Much of CCF’s work is delivered on an outreach basis throughout Sandwell and Birmingham. Having maintained an accreditation from Matrix Standards & Investors in People (IIP) since 2004, we are confident we deliver a quality assured service consistently which is benchmarked by prestigious national standards. Additionally, we are accredited by prominent awarding bodies such as Pearson, Highfield Qualifications & Ascentis for delivering a wide range of Language skills, Functional Skills, Employability Skills and Apprenticeships qualifications.

We offer a number of one to one services for children and young people aged from 4-18 including: Art Therapy Counselling First Response Crisis Support Service – for children and young people aged 11+ who are experiencing domestic abuse at home or within their own relationships Flexible drop-in support Music Therapy Play and Youth Work Play Therapy Solution Focussed Practice We deliver this work from our two premises in North Shields, and in schools and other community settings throughout North Tyneside and Northumberland. Don’t worry if you are not sure which service would be of benefit to you/your child – we will discuss this with you when we speak to you. We offer lots of additional services for children and young people including group programmes, therapeutic groups and free family activities. Who are we? We are Revved Up. We provide paid work experience for young people from L8 and the surrounding areas to prevent them from being involved in serious organised crime. What do we do? Young, disadvantaged people who are at risk are given opportunities to recruit for and co-facilitate youth projects, events and community consultations. During their time with us, young people are given the opportunity to join our list of members, contribute to/learn the operations/ day-to-day running of our community business, they are all also given personal development programmes, 1:1 coaching and mentoring, social prescribing and business start-up advice. We have regular staff trips and excursions to come up with ideas and celebrate recent successes, these are all chosen by the young people. Our community business originates from another organisation called This Is My Story Limited (TIMS). Over 5 years ago TIMS was founded by Phillip Taylor (1957-2021) Adam Taylor, Sophie Middleman, Mike Hobbs and Deborah Fitzsimmons. The purpose of this organisation was to work with disadvantaged young people involved in crime, drug activity, addiction and those who had severe mental health problems. Adam and his family have spent most of their lives in Toxteth L8 Liverpool and it is one of the most disadvantaged areas in the country. The majority of the work that TIMS did was in Toxteth working with young people (all of whom were referred by word of mouth) that needed help in one of these areas. When TIMS was 2 years old, our founder (Adam Taylor) noticed that the young people he was working with through TIMS expressed a desire to follow in his footsteps and decided to try and make that happen, that is when he started Revved Up Limited.

teve England Outdoor Learning was founded by Steve England, Conservation Educator, Horticulturist and Historian. Steve has extensive experience of working with schools, community and youth groups across Bristol to engage young (and older) people in outdoor learning and has worked in Stoke Park Estate for more than 40 years. Steve is a multi-award winning outdoor learning professional whose work is well-respected in Bristol and Nationally. Steve England Dogs In 2013, Steve was inducted into the Bristol Walk of Fame at Bristol Zoo in recognition of his work as a local conservation educator. In the same year, Steve was runner up in the UK’s ‘Council for Learning outside the Classroom’s’ “Lifetime Contribution to LOtC” award. He was recently awarded the Avon & Somerset Police Commissioner’s ‘Pride Award’ for his work supporting young people with a wide range of previous skills and experience, and engaging young people in positive outdoor learning activities at Stoke Park Estate. Throughout 2015, Steve has been working with Avon Wildlife Trust on the ‘My Wild City Project’ which aims to turn the whole of Bristol into a nature reserve. Steve is one of the project’s ‘My Wild City Champions.’ Steve has spent his life working in Stoke Park Estate and the nearby Frome Valley, witnessing and contributing to many changes aimed at improving Bristol’s wildlife. Steve continues to volunteer at Stoke Park Estate, supporting Stoke Park Action Group and other community-based organisations to maintain and develop the park for the benefit of the wider community. This work was recently recognised by Bristol Natural History Consortium which awarded Steve ‘Bristol’s Green Volunteer of the Year,’ in recognition of his ongoing commitment to improving the natural environment.

Hello! Welcome to our website! Who are we? In 2014 Imagine That Drama Classes began with a simple objective – to offer quality, affordable drama classes for the young people of Airdrie. Over the years our classes have grown from strength to strength and in 2020 we became Imagine That Performing Arts Ltd. Our own studios are now located in the most beautiful listed building at the heart of the community. Our students work with our qualified, experienced tutors from the performing arts industry as well as a range of industry experts from across the UK to reach their potential. Imagine That Performing Arts bridges the gap between ‘drama clubs’ and performing arts education. Our range of classes and the opportunities we offer ensure that all students needs are catered for, whether you are just looking for a new hobby or if you want to pursue a career in the arts. We pride ourselves in the opportunities we offer to our students. All students take part in regular productions, as well as theatre trips, casting opportunities, and masterclasses. Hannah Jones established the swim school in 2011 after teaching at Esporta for several years and growing a loyal client base through achieving consistently fast improved swimming skills, after Esporta closed Hannah seized the opportunity to set up her own swimming business. We are based at Parkhall Business Village and operate from our own custom built swimming facility, we provide swimming lessons for both children and adults. We work with a variety of abilities varying from non-swimmers to competitive athletes, offering small group, private sessions and specific skill classes such as diving or life saving. We also offer in school holidays Mermaid sessions. Our goal at Hannah Jones Swim Academy is to provide effective teaching, designed to boost your child's water confidence, swimming knowledge, water safety and skills Our groups are arranged according to the swimmers' ability, the children are then assessed to achieve awards based around the Swim England framework. Take a look, and contact us for further information and bookings Hannah’s passion for swimming developed at a young age where her commitment to training and natural ability led her to compete at a high level representing the country of Great Britain achieving titles such as: County Champion - various events (still holding 800m and 1500m freestyle records) Midland and district champion - Freestyle, Butterfly and Open water events. National Champion - Freestyle, Butterfly and Open water. Youth Olympic Champion - Freestyle and Butterfly. British Champion - 5000m Freestyle indoor and Open water events. Hannah was selected to represent Great Britain at a number of International events but due to unforseen circumstances Hannah was unable to continue. Hannah still wanted to pursue a career in swimming and felt that by teaching people to swim she was able to share her experience and knowledge with everyone from absolute beginners to aspiring athletes.
