Northants Combination The Northamptonshire Combination Football League was formed in 1953 when the Mid Northants League and the Central Village League merged to become the Central Northants Football Combination the current name change was made in 1991. Historically the league consisted of mainly village teams in around Northampton playing on private/parish council grounds. Consequently the Northamptonshire Combination now accommodates a wide range of teams, many from provincial towns using municipal facilities. This has resulted in the league becoming the predominate provider of Saturday 11v11 Adult football in the county. The league provides competitive football across a wide range of abilities in 5 divisions. The league has also worked hard to improve facilities and achieve Step 7 status, which has enabled several clubs to progress up the pyramid. Recently the league has developed its links with youth leagues in order to help facilitate the transition to adult football. The leagues management committee consists of elected league officers and representatives from member clubs. Three mandatory meetings are held each year with member clubs in order to ascertain requirements and developed the league.

At Fight for Peace young people make friends, get fit, and develop their interests, skills, and confidence. Our aim is to ensure young people achieve their full potential in life, and we welcome any young person from our communities aged 7-25 years old. We embrace the power of sport for the life lessons it teaches, such as resilience and discipline, as well as improved health and wellbeing. And we combine this with one-to-one mentoring conversations with qualified youth workers, personal development sessions, and education and employability support. Young leaders also shape our services, being part of staff recruitment and strategy development, producing communications, and progressing to employed roles as ‘Next Gen’ staff. We support around 500 young people per year at our Academy in east London and, in order to reach as many young people as possible, we train and work with like minded community partners across the UK and the world - something we call the Fight for Peace Alliance. We also coordinate Collectives in east London and Jamaica to bring together diverse partners from across communities in support of young people. Established in 2009, EFC is now well respected by many schools, parents, coaches and players in the local area, due to our success. Owned by an experienced PE teacher and a Director of Youth Football, from one of Essex biggest clubs, our company is driven and extremely experienced in many different areas. Our growing reputation is maintained by football camps that are held during the school holidays. We believe that player input and parental feedback is vital, to ensure that every child has an enjoyable and beneficial time with us. EFC’s Mini Kickers programme was introduced in September 2015. The programme is based on delivering football to children aged 18 months – 5 years old. With coaches experienced in dealing with this age group, we are in a fantastic position to offer impressive coach to player ratios as well as a local football club into which players can progress. After our inception as a specialist football coaching company, we now offer coaching in other sports due the demand from local schools. All of our coaches are at least - FA qualified, CRB checked and first-aid trained.
