Liza is a native German speaker from Düsseldorf. After studying linguistics and engineering she travelled with Cirque du Soleil where her passion for coaching, teaching and multilingualism was born. She came to Scotland in 2011 after working in a variety of countries exploring, learning and using different languages. It is for this reason she understands and empathizes with the challenges of learning a new language. She now lives in Edinburgh with her partner and two children who they have raised to be bilingual. Liza has been working as a teacher for over 10 years, teaching in a variety of settings from group classes and business classes through to private on to one tuition covering both adults and bilingual children. She has gained the experience needed to create a relaxed, fun but effective teaching method that enables students to become fluent in a short time. She understands that learning a language is personal and everyone learns differently. She likes to tailor lessons to suit the particular needs of each student.
