Aim – Recent studies have proven that a healthy body is a healthy mind and regular physical activity increases concentration, motivation and ultimately academic performance. Hassle Free – ProStars pride themselves on being hassle free. This means that you will consistently have the same coach throughout the year. This is not only important for child development but they will understand the schools policies, procedures and the day to day running of the school to ensure everything runs smoothly. We’ve never cancelled a session – On the rare occasion your coach is absent we will instantly find a replacement. The replacement coach will be of equal quality, briefed on policies and procedures, class management, how the day is run, know what the children have previously been learning and what they need to learn that lesson. We are local –We are based in The Dean Academy, Lydney and use local coaches that have been developed through our BTEC and HND programme. We are in daily contact with our team of coaches to ensure that all planning and assessments are done to the highest standard. Staff qualifications – Not only do all P.E specialists have a degree or are working towards a degree in sports coaching and development, they also hold at least a level 2 coaching qualification in their chosen sport. Alongside this, they have undergone an enhanced DBS check, first aid, safeguard and child protection training. Matt WEston Matt WEston Education Consultant / Director Matt began his career working in industry using his attention to detail for quality assurance purposes, during this time he passed several courses on risk assessing and auditing. Matt has been involved in training, since early 2000s where he set up and provided training programs for individuals in industry. Since starting a teaching career Matt has trained, coached and provided CPD for both ITT and experienced teachers. Matt is a STEM Learning Facilitator and frequently works for Southampton University and St George’s SLP providing bespoke Chemistry and Teaching & Learning CPD for schools. More recently Matt has been working internationally, consulting with governments, industries and universities to develop national curriculums and schemes in Science, Technolog, Engineering and Maths (STEAM). Matt still enjoys tutoring students at KS3 and GCSE Biology, Chemistry and Physics helping students achieve a better understanding of the subjects and an increased confidence to apply themselves. One of the biggest comments from students is “thank you for making me believe I can do Science”. Matt has had a love of the outdoors all of his life and his spare time is spent enjoying bushcraft, hiking, canoeing and cycling. Matt has worked closely with BushcraftUK and Forest Knights and his passion is now to combine his love of teaching with his passion for the outdoors so that new generations can be taught relevant content whilst developing important personal skills including communication, leaderships, problem solving, mental health and resilience.

The International Consortium for Social Development (ICSD) is an organization of practitioners, scholars and students in the human services. It was started in the 1970’s by a group of social work educators to respond to pressing human concerns from an international, interdisciplinary perspective. The organization seeks to develop conceptual frameworks and effective intervention strategies geared to influencing local, national and international systems. It is committed to creating peaceful solutions to the problems of survival at the local, national and global levels. ICSD members use a social development approach to: Develop capacity of individuals and communities Promote world peace and social justice Improve access to adequate health care and education Overcome discrimination against women and minorities Create sustainable income and economic structures ICSD serves as a clearinghouse for information on international social development. The Consortium fosters collaboration among personnel of organizations such as the United Nations, World Bank, UNESCO, and UNICEF as well as among professional associations in the human services and institutions of higher learning. ICSD is a well-established and widely recognized international catalyst for sharing ideas among many nations and across many cultures. The ICSD Technical Assistance Roster links members’ special expertise in international social development to agencies, governments and organizations upon request.
