Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust runs Family Health services across the Bradford Council area. We provide health visiting services, school nursing services including a special educational needs school nursing team and a vaccination and immunisation service. We also offer oral health programmes, health services for children looked after by the Council, those who are leaving care and children and young people who are supported by youth offending services. In Wakefield, we also provide a school vaccination and immunisation service. Prevention and early help In Bradford we work closely with the Council across the four Family Hubs. The Hubs cover all of the Bradford Council District and there is more information on each link about what is happening in your area including our Well Baby clinics: Keighley and Shipley, Bradford East, Bradford West and Bradford South. Situated on Academy Lane we have access to safe, traffic free, public footpaths and cycle ways to allow our children and staff safe trips out in to the local community. At Scallywags we are firm believers that children “Learn through play” and therefor offer a vast array of activities for children of all ages. With safety always being a top priority at Scallywags we have installed a camera buzzer entry system to the building and secure keypad entry systems to each playroom ensuring staff and children remain safe at all times. Your child will be cared for in welcoming surroundings harmonising closely with your normal daily routine. I have been working as a professional fitness coach in and around Nottingham for many years. In that time I have taught within the community and worked with a wide variety of people to enhance their health, fitness and wellbeing. My background is sport and fitness based having achieved a BSc (hons) Sport Science and Administration Degree. Since graduating I have taken on many coaching roles within the fitness industry to help develop and inspire those around me. I have run FitKid sessions for children as well as RSA Exercise To Music Courses for aspiring teachers, worked as a lecturer in local colleges and of course run fitness classes ranging from Circuits and Body Pump to Yoga and Step. I bring this vast experience to my current classes along with a passion to help people be the best they can be and have fun along the way. I have encouraged many people as they start on their fitness journey and motivated them to continue on their chosen path. I love my job, it’s great fun, always interesting and so rewarding… and that’s what I want for my participants. Since 1818 a small Schoolhouse nestled under the gaze of the clock tower in the heart of the picturesque village of Enniskerry in Ireland’s ‘garden county’ Wicklow. This was a school for children, a house of learning where young minds explored, examined and recited the rhymes and reasons of the unfolding world. For almost two centuries its solid walls absorbed the chants and childish chatter of thousands of young voices. In 2011, the children marched up to the top of the hill to their perfect new school. The old schoolhouse fell silent for two years and quietly waited while its guardians debated and deliberated over the commercial and the common good… … ‘Schoolhouse for Art’ was deemed to be a fitting substitute. Schoolhouse for Art is in essence a facility for the study and exploration of the visual arts. Located in ‘the old schoolhouse’ in the heart of Enniskerry village it is an exhibition space and a meeting place where images and ideas mingle. It caters for all ages and all abilities. The former school playground is a natural arena facing the clock tower, a three-dimensional canvas to display an evolving gallery of large pieces of sculpture. The ‘Schoolhouse for Art’ is also a host to visiting artists from across the globe who want to paint the surrounding inspiring countryside and experience the unparalleled Irish hospitality.

I completed my UK pilates training and certification with Body Control Pilates (BCP) in 2000, BCP is one of the leading education providers for Pilates teacher training and the most significant professional Pilates organisation outside the USA. I established Pilates in Dulwich in the same year. Committed to my ongoing development, I also undertook advanced studies at Kane School of Core Integration in New York under the tutelage and mentorship of Kelly Kane, one of the most highly regarded and experienced Pilates educators and therapists in the USA. In 2009 I qualified as an osteopath, and completed extensive postgraduate studies including cranial and classical osteopathy, women’s health and training in paediatrics at the world famous Foundation for Paediatric Osteopathy in London (aka Osteopathic Centre for Children – OCC). My extended pilates clinical work is influenced by all of these factors some of which have organically integrated into my current evolving non-purist practice, which is underpinned by comprehensive training and certification, and lifelong professional development. I have worked in several highly regarded London clinics to enhance my practice and established my own osteopathic practice to compliment my existing Pilates work. I currently divide my time between private osteopathic practice, teaching Pilates, running community-based first aid training, clinical tutoring, developing, writing and delivering specialist lectures/workshops/courses and completing heaps of continual professional development (CPD) each year.

When you adopt you legally acquire full parental responsibility for the child, just like any other parent. It’s a lifelong commitment which means sticking with it through the difficult times, as well as the good. Adoption is a way of making a real difference to a child, by giving them the love, stability and safe nurturing environment every child deserves. After adoption, all rights and responsibilities are transferred from the original parents to the adoptive parents. The child assumes the surname of the new parents, receives an adoption certificate to replace their birth certificate and becomes a permanent and full member of the new family. We believe that the stability of a forever family gives children the best possible chance of realising their full potential. Training and support will be provided to help you prepare for adoption and this support is continued for as long as you feel it is needed. Adopt South West aims to find safe, secure, permanent homes for children who are unable to live with their birth families. We work in partnership with Devon County Council, Plymouth City Council, Somerset County Council and Torbay Council.
