Trent Valley Woodturners are a club of 60+ members who meet on a regular basis to discuss and practice the art of wood turning. The club is based in Kegworth, Leicestershire and is situated next to the Village Hall. The workshop is situated in a brand new purpose built facility which was opened in early May 2015. On the second Wednesday of every month the members are entertained with a demonstration from either a professional wood turner or a club member. Demonstrations take place during the evening between 6.30 to 9 pm and are free for all members to attend. Non members are charged £5 for admission. Spaces are limited so be sure to contact the Secretary before arriving. Club activities include a hands on experience several times each month, where members have access to a variety of lathes and workshop equipment. At these meeting the members have the opportunity to use the club facilities or to just discuss ideas or problems with other people. On the third Wednesday of each month, members have the opportunity to socialise, watch DVD’s and discuss problems over tea and coffee. This is a ‘no turning session between 1.30 – 4.30pm. During the Autumn and Winter months, on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, training is given to students new to woodturning. The cost for each 8 week session, 2 hours per night is £64. Due to popular demand training has now been extended to include Friday Mornings, a 8 week course, 3 hours per session costs £96. Anyone interested in joining any of our training classes should contact the Secretary as soon as possible as places are limited. Activities are arranged throughout the year and include all day presentations by professional Woodturners and visits to local wood fairs. At these fairs the members demonstrate their woodturning skills and exhibit some of the items that have been made in the club. Some of these items are sold to the general public and some of the proceeds donated to charity. The club facilities include a variety of lathes and workshop equipment, a library of books/DVDs and a stock of woodturning accessories which include glues, polishes and miscellaneous items. The club has state of the art audio and visual equipment which is used during demonstrations.

Autism Anglia is an independent charity that provides care and support to autistic children, adults, and their families in East Anglia. Services in Essex, Suffolk, and Norfolk, managed from office in Colchester, offer personalised approaches that provide each individual with the necessary skills and strategies to enable them to realise their own strengths and abilities. The charity also seeks to promote greater knowledge and understanding of autism through training, education, and supplying information to the public and professionals. We offer numerous services for autistic people and their families, including: The origins of the charity started back in the early 1970s with families living in Essex and Norfolk independently realising that there was no specialist provision for their children who were on the Autism Spectrum. This lack of provision resulted in two entirely separate organisations being operated and managed up until 2008 when negotiations brought about the successful merger and the formation of Autism Anglia. From similar beginnings to where you find us now; here are the key points. 1970 The Norwich and Norfolk Society for Autistic Children was formed by five families affected by autism. 1973 Two sets of parents with newly diagnosed children setup up the Essex Society for Autistic Children. 1977 Doucecroft School opened in Kelvedon for children up to 16 years old. 1983 Provision extended to include services for young adults with an Adult Life Care Centre and the name was changed to The Essex Autistic Society. Norfolk Autistic Community Housing Association (NACHA) formed to provide residential homes to people with autism. The Norwich and Norfolk Society for Autistic Children changed its name to the Norfolk Autistic Society. 1994 The Norfolk Autistic Society Trust Fund established to benefit people with autism and their families. 1999 Further Education facilities for 16-19-year-olds given a dedicated campus in Kelvedon. 2004 Family Support service launched to help individuals and families affected by autism. Through collaboration, the Norfolk Autistic Society provided short breaks for children with autism and learning disabilities. 2005 Doucecroft School moved from Kelvedon to purpose-built facilities in Eight Ash Green, Colchester. 2008 NACHA merged with The Essex Autistic Society and the new charity changed its name on 1 May to Autism Anglia which better reflected its area of operation. The Norfolk Autistic Society merged with Autism Anglia. 2019 Relocation of our Century House Colchester Office a short walk away to North Hill.

The Foundation University Islamabad (FUI), a project of Fauji Foundation, was established under a Federal Charter in October 2002. The University has been rated as category 'W4' (the highest rating category) by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan. An MOU with University of Bedfordshire (UOB), UK, under which a 3+1 Transnational Education program has been materialized for the students of Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (BSCS), Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering (BSSE), Bachelor in Business Administration (BBA) and Bachelor of Science (BS) in Psychology, who shall complete their first three years of education at FUI and the last year at UOB. The graduates will be eligible for a grant of UOB (UK) recognized degree, duly approved by the accrediting bodies of both UK and Pakistan. The strength of FUI lies in its highly qualified and experienced faculty and well designed academic programs, supported by state-of-the-art academic facilities such as fully equipped labs, libraries, lecture halls, video conferencing facilities, digital library, medical laboratories, auditorium and seminar halls, etc. FUI has also established a Media House, an FM Channel 101.8 and a Psychology Clinic. Furthermore, counselling and career guidance is available for students along with substantial opportunities for participation in various co-curricular and extra-curricular activities, to turn them into well rounded personalities. In 2021, The Foundation acquired and renovated the facility, formerly known as ‘The Basement’, in the heart of Brighton’s famous North Laine. Our kick-off project is a gym facility that will host our new academy programme, whilst also supporting local sports clubs and other educational groups and charities. The venue also has other facilities such as business offices and space for events, meet ups and more! Friday Media Group is a Sussex-based digital publishing business, born off the back of the success of The Friday-Ad newspaper. The Kidger family started the business back in 1975 and established the Foundation to put something back into the community from which it was born.
