There is a school of thought that the art of calligraphy has unique healing power. This gentle practice not only calms the mind but can also prove an escape from physical pain. It was, in fact, an accident and a period of recuperation that changed my life and set me on the path to my calligraphy career, culminating in the founding of Laura Prudence Calligraphy. As a former schoolteacher, I appreciate that being a good educator also means being an excellent learner. That’s why I chose to study under some of the U.K.’s leading calligraphers. I have worked with the world-renowned Modern Calligraphy Company known for their alliances with leading luxury brands. Additionally, I have trained under the watchful eye of Gaynor Goffe and Mary Noble, both leading tutors in calligraphic arts. I specialise in Modern Dip Pen and Modern Brush Calligraphy and the harder to master Classic Copperplate and Flourished Copperplate Calligraphy. They are progressive in skills and have detailed videos and materials for you to learn this beautiful art from the comfort of your home. Hi! I’m Kate - mum of 2, yoga teacher, core and pelvic floor specialist. My mission is to get women feeling great in their own body, no matter what stage of life: pregnancy, postnatal, menopausal or anywhere in between. As a yoga teacher and core and pelvic floor trainer, I love blending these disciplines together as part of a holistic model of care. The breath, core and pelvic floor work together for optimal health.   Yoga increases strength and flexibility, and improves posture and balance. I teach friendly, relaxed classes that bring women together to enhance wellness and build a supportive community, with a strong focus on core and pelvic floor rehabilitation. It is not a 'spot fix' because assessing, treating and rehabilitating a new mum for abdominal separation needs to move away just doing tummy exercises. It needs a broader, full-body approach to get your system working and functioning in a more optimal way. I believe that to be a yoga teacher takes courage, humility, strength, integrity and knowledge but above all love for yourself and and a passion to serve the collective. I empower women by teaching them yogic techniques that they can then share with others. I listen to and guide women and help them find their purpose in life. I lead women to connect to themselves and others on a conscious level, promoting self love and self acceptance. I support and build community through women’s circles with emphasis on ritual and ceremony to life. My offerings are both online and in-person and include yoga teacher training, yoga classes, mentoring and life coaching. I am a registered Yoga Alliance and Yoga Detour Instructor I am from Halifax, UK and live at Yoga Beach House in France where I host my retreats, trainings and workshops with business partner, best friend and husband James (who is also a yoga teacher, relationship coach and retreat chef).
