Beth is an HCPC registered Senior Paediatric Physiotherapist who graduated from Cardiff University with a BSc Hons degree. Aside from running ‘The Mini Movement’ Beth has over 10 years of experience working as a paediatric physiotherapist in the NHS and private sector. She has a particular interest in infant development and ‘early years. Starting from birth, children develop brain neural connections through their everyday experiences and her experience has taught her that these are escalated through positive interactions with their parents and caregivers and by using their senses to interact with the world. The relationship between gross motor development, sensory integration and learning through play continues to fascinate and amaze her and she has a real passion for bringing these elements to The Mini Movement curriculum. Beth is also a trained performer and dance teacher, with a passion for musical theatre, and has been involved in many professional performances and events around South Wales. Beth utilises her performance skills and physiotherapy knowledge to engage the children and promote their development in every class. Beth creates the syllabus for The Mini Movement and all staff partake in regular training and development sessions with Beth.

As a result he was short and very underweight as a child. Rutherford began weight training after being bullied at school. In 1985, aged 15, and at a body weight of only 79 pounds (36 kg) he took up the sport of powerlifting. He competed as junior lifter until 1989. The 5 ft 6in personal trainer won 11 championship titles from 1986 to 1990 but then retired. In March 2007 he promised his nine-year-old son he would make an improbable comeback after watching the film Rocky Balboa, starring Sylvester Stallone, which was all about Rocky being older but making a ring comeback. In 2007 he achieved a silver medal at the European Powerlifting championships,[2] and then bronze at the 2009 World Championships. In 2010 he finally achieved his dream of becoming World Powerlifting Champion at the age of 41. He again won the World Championships for a 2nd time in November 2011. His Daughter Hayley Rutherford (15) and his son Ryan Rutherford(14) also won their respective divisions at the World Championships. We couldn’t find anything that matched our vision, so we decided to combine our skills and develop an unrivaled concept in early learning baby and toddler classes. Performing arts, a platform for early learning! It’s been proven in countless case studies that music aids in a child’s early development, but we were looking for something more than simply music classes, we were hoping to find classes that offered a platform to develop a child’s confidence and social skills, classes that would help toddlers to shine and prepare them not just for nursery and school but for their later years. Teddy’s Playhouse was formed in December 2016 with a vision to create a magical adventure for infants and toddlers through music, song, rhyme, performance, role play, dance and movement; all of which are keyed to supporting language skill development, social awareness and confidence building.
