TBA training enables scientists, project managers and educators, working in the tropics, to manage and safeguard biodiversity, long term. It’s what we call capacity building for conservation. Our approach is unique because we provide all of the following to everyone we train: Tailored training that is relevant and practical Learner-centred teaching by local and international specialists Follow-up support to ensure new skills are applied Active networks for on-going collaboration and exchange of best practice Capacity building begins by inspiring people. So far, we have launched and supported the careers of over 2,000 conservation champions: half of them from 29 countries in Africa and Madagascar. Our alumni are applying their skills and knowledge in project management, policy development, research and education. They work for government agencies, NGOs, the public and private sectors. Every one of them has a different story about how the TBA has changed their life.

The overarching aim for Sliabh Beagh Arts is the development and implementation of a series of community Arts programmes which address the social, creative, economic, cultural, environmental and good relations needs within the area. We are dedicated to providing high quality arts activity, promoting the use of creativeness as a means of enriching the lives of the rural communities involved. Our programs aim to promote the importance of our physical and personal environment, looking to the rural for inspiration and exploring the culture in AgriCULTURE. All of our projects are innovative and we try to bring something special to the area every year. Grafitti Bales We took the mundane and brought some colour and brightness to the plain old stacks Gate weaves Gateweaves These gate weaves were created by several different communities who worked together during dark evenings Painting With Light Painting With Light Working with several different artists the task of running through dark places at night became a creative pleasure Mini Worlds Mini Worlds Seeing quality in the everyday local objects, local photographer Max Carnson brought this project to life Storytelling Through Song We have searched through our library of song to tell stories that are educational to hear. Shadow puppetry 2013 Our First "Show" was a shadow puppetry event in the woods, with choirs and bands Sliabh Beagh Project 2021 Category: Our Pulse The Suitcase Orchestra Like all our projects in past years project 2021 endeavours to pull separate parts of our communities together in the creation of art. One of our goals this year is to include dance in our project. We will be experimenting with the concept of Sound, Motion, Dance, Projection and Poetry. We have scheduled classes with children in schools from the area . . . we have choirs preparing their voices to be heard. . . the technology of motion and sound is being prepared . . . the poetry of education motion through time and distance is being written. The Lemonade Project is an initiative of Shared Health Foundation with the aim of building resilience in young people who are experiencing low levels of emotional wellbeing. It is part of Shared Health Foundation’s wider strategy to improve mental health support for adolescents across Greater Manchester. Our resources and training are perfect to help schools meet new PSHE requirements. Project Overview The Lemonade Project consists of three strands: The Lemonade Resource Book: A range of interactive, engaging activities designed to be used by small groups of young people. It covers six main chapters addressing many of the issues in the ‘Resilience Framework’, for example emotional literacy, self esteem and identity, and dealing with challenge The Tough Times Toolkit: A conversation aid which consists of suggested questions and prompts which can help get to the root of any problems a young person might be experiencing, as well as an informal risk assessment. It also includes ideas for strategies that an adult may want to suggest to a young person to try and help them manage strong emotions. The Life and Lemons Journal: An interactive resilience journal for young people. We believe that the best way this journal can be used is to allow the young person to take it way, use in their own time, and then meet back to discuss any issues that it might have raised in a safe space with a parent/teacher or trusted adult.

Bespoke Consultancy & Education Limited was founded in 2013 by Alison, who has worked in Domiciliary Care, Learning Disabilities, set up and ran a Young Carers Project, been an Assessor, Internal Quality Assurer, Social Care course leader in a local College, Alison is also the Chair of Trustees for a charity that supports Individuals with mental health and learning difficulties. She is passionate about raising the standards in social care and helping others. Alison is a Dignity Champion and wants to raise the awareness of dignity through her work. Whilst the company has grown considerably it remains a family run business. Tony, Alison’s husband, joined the business in August 2015. His background is management in the motor trade. He runs the office and administration team. He has learnt a lot about social care in the past few years and has the same drive and passion as Alison to make changes to the way people work in social care. He has been an invaluable member of the team as he has seen the social care sector with ‘fresh eyes’ and has questioned the way we work in the social care sector.

I have worked with children in various settings for almost twenty-five years. I trained as a teacher at University College Bretton Hall, graduating in 2000 with First Class Honours in Education and English with Qualified Teacher Status. Since then, I have continued to study and develop my professional practice. I gained Advanced Skill Teacher Status in 2005 and Primary Maths Specialist Teacher Status in 2010. In June 2017, I completed a course for Maths Mastery Leading Teachers. Professional roles have included a secondment to WMDC as Lead Facilitator for a Y6/7 transition project, Advanced Skills Teacher and Deputy Headteacher of a large primary school. I have held a life-long passion for learning and believe that all children deserve the best education possible. It is my aim to build on the work carried out in schools and deliver tailored, personalised learning in a friendly supportive environment, which develops confidence and enables children and young people to fulfil their potential, whatever their ability or barriers to learning. I firmly believe that education is the key that opens up opportunities for the future and want to use my extensive knowledge and experience to support all our pupils.

Autizma works in partnership with The National Autistic Society, we are also registered with The UK Register of Learning Providers (UKRLP) and Member of the Health Charter for Learning Disabilities. Our work includes recommendations made by the Positive Behaviour Support Academy, NICE guidance and Equality Act 2010. We are an approved provider for Manchester City Council Social Care and the Greater Manchester Health and Social Care Partnership (Learning Disability and Autism Ethical Purchasing System).
