Rua Red is a contemporary art space housing two galleries, a theatre/cinema, a dance studio, a conference room, a digital media suite, recording facilities, music rooms, workshop areas, artist’s studios, office space and a café. Rua Red exhibit the work of established Irish and International artists who are committed to producing work within a socio political framework. The education programme reflects the organisations interests with place, politics and people through a challenging programme of events, workshops, screenings and performances that allow audiences and visitors to engage with the exhibitions through the mediums of music, dance, theatre and visual art. In addition to Rua Red’s programme the organisation also houses and works alongside a number of independent creative organisations and individuals through the provision of office spaces. Rua Red also provide subsidised artist studios which practising artists can hire at a subsidised rate for 1-3 years.

True Colours Performing Arts is an exciting independent dance and drama school based at Hanslope Village Hall and Old Stratford Community Hall. Established in 2020 we offer classes for our youngest performers ages 3+ in Ballet • Modern and Musical Theatre. From 4+ they can also learn street dance and Acro. Our current students are aged between 3 and 16. The school was set up by Peter and Katie Corrigan after they both qualified in their respective fields. Katie is a Qualified Level 4 (Diploma) Ballet Teacher with the IDTA and Peter is a Qualified Musical Theatre (Diploma) Teacher with the IDTA. Maiden Voyage is an artist-led commissioning company offering discoveries in dance with, by, and for, artists, audiences and participants. We commission and produce distinctive dance performances across three strands; Maiden Belfast theatre venue based performances; Dance Exposed short new works for public space; and Off Spring new work for young and family audiences. The company was established in Belfast by Artistic Director Nicola Curry in 2002. Maiden Voyage is governed by a voluntary Board of Directors and is a registered Charity with NI Charity Commission. Maiden Voyage is funded annually by the Arts Council of Northern Ireland and by Belfast City Council and receives support from individual Trusts and Foundations for different aspects of our programme. Maiden Voyage relies on a large number of freelance dance artists in the creation and delivery of our programme. This includes long term company members; Ryan O’Neill, Vasiliki Stasinaki and David Ogle who have been performing and working with the company since 2010. Dancers performing with us during 2021/22 include Adam Ashford, Clara Kerr, Michael McEvoy and Maeve McGreevy.
