For several years during the 80’s Angela was a volunteer manager for the Red Cross Therapeutic Care Service, responsible for a team of volunteers working in hospitals and centres across the region, fitting this in with her other work. For 3 years Angela worked as a school nurse at a large senior school in Norwich, during this time she was invited to become a part-time First Aid and Child Carers Tutor at City College Norwich. During her time there gaining qualifications in management, marketing and a degree in education. Angela then became full-time Commercial Training Manager for Norfolk, Cambridgeshire and Essex Red Cross. As well as organising a big team of Trainers part of her role was acting as an NVQ Internal Verifier and training Trainers. The business first operated from premises in the small village of Knowle in Solihull but moved into larger premises in July 2012 to accommodate the larger tile projects that they were being requested to supply. The new premises within Century Park, Birmingham, offered better access for hauliers due to its locality to Birmingham Airport and the major motorway network as well as offering a much larger warehousing capacity. A real success story, more recently the business has expanded its operation even further by opening a state of the art eco-friendly architectural showroom based in Meriden between Birmingham and Coventry. The showroom offers and extensive range of unique and innovative collections on display, with access to thousands of samples. The showroom offers modern meeting spaces and a state of the art office space all under one roof. We can provide onsite CPD training and various types of technical testing. The directors are supported in their day to day business operations by an experienced and talented back office team who cover administration, warehousing, finance and sales. They are currently looking to further expand this team in order to manage the additional demand and retain their reputation for excellent customer service, something with which they have become known for. The company is particularly proud of the clients that they have accumulated over the years who include many household names both in the UK and abroad. Over the past four years the company has also exhibited at shows such as 100% Design and Surface while featuring in FX Magazine and IDFX Magazine as well as being members of the TTA. Throughout his 30 year IT career, John has been privileged to visit many different industrial, commercial, government and military sites including steel works, car manufacturers, factories, offices, power stations, petro-chemical, and electrical, gas and water utility installations. He has completed projects throughout Europe (The Netherlands, Germany, Spain, Luxembourg and Switzerland) India, and the Asia Pacific Region (Cambodia, and Australia). His career started as a British Telecom apprentice in the 1980’s in the City of London and he has worked in many city financial institutions. In 1989 he left to join J.O. Grant & Taylor as a junior project manager, in 1990 he joined Electrical Installations Ltd as a project and bid manager in the structured data and voice cabling sector and worked on projects such as British Steel Scunthorpe and Redcar, Chelsea & Westminster Hospital, and Cranfield Institute of Technology. Working for himself in 1996, he installed servers, switches and desktops into UK Job Centres nationwide. 1997, saw him join Computacenter as a Systems Engineer and he worked at some notable clients including Lloyds TSB, HFC Bank, Mecca Bingo, HSBC, British Energy, Foreign & Commonwealth Office, Severn Trent Water to name a few. 'I set up Carbon³ IT in 2009, my own sustainable IT consultancy, providing information, products and services to clients looking to reduce energy costs and to reduce their IT impact on the environment. I wanted to take all my years of experience in other roles and incorporate it into something I was passionate about. Alongside this I did a BSc (Honours) in Technology with Environment and Development with the Open University, graduating in 2010. I am on the BCS Green IT and Data Centre specialist group committees and have taken the Foundation Certificate in Green IT, the EU Code of Conduct for Data Centres, PRINCE 2 Practitioner and ITIL Foundation qualifications. I am currently part way through my Chartered IT Professional qualification. I regularly speak at events on the topic of Green IT & Data Centres and I am well known throughout the Data Centre Industry as a Sustainability Expert. Since December 2011, I have been the lead Assessor on the BCS CEEDA (Certified Data Centre Energy Efficiency Award) programme and since September 2012, I have been the reviewer of applications to become participants on the EU Code of Conduct for Data Centres.'

Being a Mum is a constant assault on all your senses – physically and mentally demanding from the very start to the very end of each day. To see our families work well, we need to be operating at our very best, feeling energised and equipped to flourish. My name is Jackie Meek and I am a qualified Life Coach. I love meeting new people and helping Mums to respond to life’s challenges with a positive rather than negative mindset. I am passionate about the impact coaching conversations can have, helping mums to build healthy family foundations and home environments. I am committed to enabling Mums to function to the best of their ability and seeing them thrive as powerful leaders in their family units. I love being a Mum, but it has come with its challenges. I have two precious children, born in 2008 and 2010, but I have a difficult birthing story, including experiencing giving birth extremely prematurely, the loss of a baby and I have also experienced post-partum psychosis and post-natal depression. My career, starting in 1990, has spanned a variety of commercial and not for profit organisations, primarily working in recruitment, HR, administration and finance. In 2014, once both my children were both at school, I undertook a series of life coaching sessions which resulted in a dramatic improvement in the quality of my relationship with my husband – and it was me who changed, not him! My life coaching sessions were inspiring and empowering and left me feeling energised and equipped to flourish in my role as a mother, wife, daughter and friend. I decided to build on my people skills, developed over the last 25+ years, by training to become a qualified life coach and undertook a course with Full Circle Development in London. I qualified in March 2016 with a Certificate in Professional Coaching Practice and I am an Associate Certified Coach through the International Coaching Federation. I love the privilege of having personal conversations with my clients and enabling sustainable change to take place. Spending quality time with my family is a high priority for me and as a family we love to ride off-road motorbikes and go motor racing together. In my spare time I enjoy horse riding and you’ll find me at my happiest surrounded by my family and friends.
