The Ethical Education Enterprise CIC was established to provide high quality and meaningful training to people in the local communities of the Greater Manchester area. Here at Ethical Education, we pride ourselves on creating a learning environment that offers each student an individual pathway. Working with local organisations, we support staff to develop their skills through accredited qualifications and bespoke training which, in turn, enhances local sustainability. We are currently working with young people aged 14yrs + to provide additional support alongside school, focusing on their individual attributes and interests. We also work with adults who are looking to progress in work or with barriers to work. Experience has shown us that, in reality, most people simply want meaningful work in their lives and equally meaningful social relations that come as part of being included in the wider working world. We believe that an intrinsic, if not critical part of helping people to achieve their aims is to develop productive relationships with all like-minded organisations such as third sector partners, education providers, support organisations, social housing providers and employers. We therefore can develop positive transitional pathways to ensure our learners are trained to a level which enables them to confidently progress or enter into productive, meaningful and sustainable employment. Taking a person-centred approach, we aspire to produce positive outcomes for all individuals we work with, but also for employers and society, as we believe each are mutually complimentary and achievable given the right approach.

The pupil premium is a government grant which is designed to support schools in raising the attainment of pupils who are eligible to receive Free School Meals. This category had been extended to include any pupil who has been registered for FSM since 2007 and those who are in Local Authority Care and have been continuously looked after for four months. Funding is allocated to schools based on the number of pupils who meet the criteria. Since September 2012 all schools have been required to report publicly how the money is to be spent to support pupils and a statement is to be produced each year confirming Pupil Premium allocation, how it was spent and the impact it has had. It all started in Berlin, Germany and was inspired by a group of young women who read the book “The way of the Empress” by Christine Li. This made them realise that ordinary girls can achieve great things. This book has been an inspiration and a live partner and tells the story of a poor girl, who made it all the way up to be the most powerful woman in an Empire. M∙prez Enterprise is an organization formed on behalf of women, children and young people in the fields of arts, culture, education, technology, communication, science and health. It supports them in their creative endeavors in those fields and other areas that affect them. The company is limited by guarantee since 2009, but has ran projects and activities in partnership and in a freelance capacity. We began a journey where M-prez Enterprise started organising events, produced music, created a radio show called Gheto Yuth Vibez and a TV show called Triple T. M-prez Enterprise’s original founders were: Tortie, Chaos and Drama, and Eve 1. Over the past years, M-prez Enterprise has formed international networks to be a resource that strives collectively to provide opportunities for various participants especially for women and young people. We engage participants through these disciplines and all the other areas that are for the benefit of women, children, and young people across the globe to transform their lives. The organization embraces an individual and interdisciplinary approach to arts, culture, education, technology, communication, science and health and will encourage closing the gap between those disciplines and supporting them in their participation, through a variety of innovative approaches, programs, products, and services. north northants social enterprise network

In 2021-22 our new unitary local authority was settling in and we focused on building up good relationships there and developing our network with features of local social enterprises. We succeeded in securing funding from Northants Community Foundation to fund digital training for local members. Through the University of Northampton’s Changemaker programme and other support our two Social Enterprise Ambassadors have been working with local social enterprises to create a video feature series, due for launch in February 2023.
