I have a passion for helping people and will cheer you on as you find the best version of yourself. I am 27 years old and I have lived my whole life in Edinburgh, Scotland. For the last five years I’ve been a qualified Occupational Therapist working in the NHS. I have worked in an array of services from Mental Health, Paediatrics to Over 65’s. I always knew I wanted to do more to help people change their lives through health and fitness. I initially got into fitness in my final years of university, being fed up of the sedentary lifestyle I was leading. I remember not knowing where to start, feeling lost and intimidated by the gym environment. I started workouts from home, improving my fitness and confidence in my living room. I soon decided I wanted to try something different, so I got an online programme to follow, making the return to the gym much easier. It was then I found a love for weight training, and it wasn’t long before I invested in a Personal Trainer myself to teach me correct technique, keep me accountable and support my journey to achieving my goals. Now I want to help you do the same! Whether you choose to work with me online or in person, I want to share with you my passion for health and fitness and help you fall in love with the process!

Active Cumbria, the Sport and Physical Activity Partnership is one of 42 Active Partnerships in England and is hosted within Cumbria County Council’s Public Health Team. Through strategic connectivity and partnerships, Active Cumbria has facilitated many measurable and positive outcomes contributing to an increase in participation in physical activity and sport. Our 5 Year Plan provides us with a framework which helps inform our decision making around effort and investment, and has been developed in partnership with our Advisory Board and wider sector partners to reflect the key challenges that increased levels of physical activity can contribute and support to improve the health and wellbeing of our communities. Tackling inequalities in participation in sport and physical activity is at the heart of the Plan, and aligns with the ambitions of Sport England’s 10 Year Strategy ‘Uniting the Movement’ which can be viewed here. Active Cumbria is governed by an independent Advisory Board, made up of highly skilled individuals from a range of backgrounds. The Board operates under an agreed Terms of Reference, and provides strategic leadership to the organisation and to the Core Team of professionals, who provide the co-ordination and structures which allow individuals and organisations to work together more effectively. The Advisory Board is committed to meeting the requirements of the Government’s Code for Sports Governance, and regularly reviews all aspects of its operations to ensure it is meeting the requirements of a Tier 3 organisation. One demonstrable way of evidencing our commitment to achieving the aims of the Code is through the make-up of the Advisory Board, which currently consists of 42% female members, against a target of 40%. Having been appointed as Head of Valley College and Ewood Campus in September 2021, I would like to share some information about the provision for Valley College learners. Valley College learners are supported by skilled and familiar staff and alongside their advocates, create a bespoke individualised pathway to ensure future aspirations are achieved. Learners are encouraged to take part in a wide range of activities across and beyond the curriculum, contributing fully to the life of the college and their communities. Learners have the opportunity to reflect on their experiences and understand how they are developing personally and socially, tackling many of the spiritual, moral, social and cultural issues that are part of growing into adulthood. Within Valley College, learners are able to develop new skills and access the community, and sessions are focused on preparing learners for adult life. Valley College ensures all learners leave with relevant qualifications (if appropriate) and gain their desired aspiration destination. We work together with our learners to increase their independence, so they can take more control over their lives. Valley College is a friendly place where learners can develop interests and gradually gain the skills and confidence they need to move on to the next stage of their lives, preparing them for adulthood, citizenship and employability.

Animal Wellness Center was founded in 1994 and Dr. Simmons purchased the practice in 2006. Animal Welllness Center is a well-established, full-service, small animal veterinary hospital providing comprehensive medical, surgical and dental care. Additionally, we offer boarding and grooming services to our clients. We are one of a few veterinary clinics, serving Royal Palm Beach and Wellington, FL that are independantly owned and operated. We provide a broad spectrum of diagnostic procedures through in-house testing and the use of external laboratories. We also work closely with local specialty referral practices when special diagnostic procedures are required.
