Urban Tango Nights is an Argentine Tango club based in Swansea, South Wales, UK Our aim is to promote all forms of tango from Canyengue to Fusion, Salon to Nuevo, Alternative to Experimental and generally have fun along the way. As Tango is widely considered to be a social dance we believe that enjoyment should be first and foremost. We actively encourage experimentation and the development of personal style as well as understanding the history of the dance. We believe there are no rules in Tango (except general good manners). We do not encourage the use of the cabaceo, but instead encourage people to talk to each other as you would in any other social dance. We also encourage women to ask men to dance. Tango can be danced to any music and we find this allows for full expression of the freedom of the art form and we do not usually use tandas or cortinas. We also believe that there is no such thing as beginners or advanced dancers in tango there is only those who know how to do a step and therefore need to practice and develop that step, and those who need to learn the step.

Helen Davies is a contemporary glass artist who studied Applied Arts at the North Wales School of Art and Design, Glyndwr University, receiving a BA Honours after specialising in glass. Continuing with her studies she gained a Post Graduate Certificate in Education to enable her to work in colleges sharing her knowledge and love of glass. She set up FIRED Contemporary Glass producing handmade timeless pieces in her studio in Lymm. Influenced by nature and the elements, her artwork adds ambiance to its given surrounding. Helen produces unique of glass artwork from coasters to wall panels, dishes to garden art, exhibits with groups and runs glass workshops. Her garden studio is in the heart of Cheshire overlooking fields to the rear for the relaxing ambiance much needed for the creative thoughts to flow. Helen was awarded the Steering Group Choice Award by Cheshire Open Studios. Helen continues to design and develop her work and endevours to use once useful items and incorporate these within her pieces of glass artwork. She works from her garden studio in the heart of Cheshire with rural views. Most of her inspiration comes from the elements, nature and finding the need to up-cycle once useful items into pieces of artwork.
