Our mission is simple: use the very best ideas, people and practices to become a national leader in bringing opportunities for young people. Or, as we like to call it, Good Growth. We celebrate diversity in every sense, from neurodiversity to gender to race and stand to give everyone the tools they need to pursue their passions. Good Growth drives the work we do and is the value we share with all of the businesses we collaborate with. Our vision is to see east London’s young people thrive and businesses grow thanks to the work that we do together.  Situated right in the heart of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, the space is part of the London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC)’s plan to make sure businesses are tapping into local talent. The LLDC teamed up with A New Direction who run the Hub and bring this initiative to life for both young people and employers.  Young people can take advantage of the paid opportunities we publicise, the support we give for freelancers and start-ups, and industry connections we help foster through mentoring and networking, as well as sector specific careers advice and coaching. At the Good Growth Hub, all internship opportunities pay at least the London Living Wage of £11.95 per hour – but we strive for higher.  For businesses, the Good Growth Hub is an excellent resource to establish good working standards and to become more inclusive. Employers are able to both nurture and draw from a talent pipeline that’s eager to show what they can do. We’re always on the lookout for like-minded businesses to partner with us as mentors, speakers and advisors.  So, whether you’re a business, a young person or just someone who shares our passion for Good Growth, we’d love to have you involved.

Since Christopher drowned I/RASS have educated over 500.000 young people and adults across North Wales UK and Ireland as to the dangers of open water. From the beginning I wanted to create a Legacy which would leave a memorable impact on both young people and adults in making them more aware of their own and others safety. The strain on our emergency services over the years and ongoing research has proved that CPR First Aid and SABL Education particularly in Wales was not on our curriculum and therefore in 2021 RASS in Partnership with Ajuda Training will provide this extra service across Wales. This would help in many ways to reduce incidents where people were rescued and aid in the saving of lives using the education taught on a peer to peer basis. RASS works with all the emergency services across the UK and is proud to be involved in the – All Wales Drowning Prevention Strategy of which members are RLSS RNLI ROSPA CFOA MPA to name but a few. Awards RASS has received recognition from Emergency Services across the UK and beyond. Awards such as Free To Network Resilience In Business – Finalist Pride of Britain – Special Achievement Award National Lottery Awards – presented By Bear Grylls – WCVA Award – Liverpool Lifestyle Award – Special Achievement The project is needed as there is not enough Water Safety and Lifesaving Education. Young people take risks, drink alcohol, and put their lives and others in danger. There are a number of ‘Hot Spots’ in the local area and across North Wales where young people visit on a regular basis to have fun and which often are having to be chased away or rescued by our emergency services.

North Yorkshire Youth is a charity that dates back to 1941. Lady Crathorne, who was a prominent youth worker in the years leading up to World War 2 founded the North Riding Association of Youth Clubs and used the grounds at the family home, Crathorne Hall to put on activities, mainly for young girls. Lady Crathonre remained closely connected to the charity for many years and was President up until her death in 1965. We have had numerous presidents since but we are immensely proud to have her son, Lord Crathorne as our current president, and long may the family connections remain. Since 1941 we have been called The North Roding Association of Youth Clubs, North Yorkshire Youth Association (Circa 1974), Youth Clubs North Yorkshire (Circa 1987) and are now known as North Yorkshire Youth (Circa 2006) Through our history we have helped 1,000’s of young people realise their potential. Be that through youth clubs, bespoke programmes, volunteering and experiencing the outdoors at Carlton Lodge. It was 1970 when we were given Carlton Lodge to provide space and a place for young people. The then Director worked with young people to develop the site . We had the honour of being officially opened on 6th July 1971 by HRH Princess Margaret and the site has been continually improved since then. The Bunkhouse arrived in 1983, the Stables were converted in 1992 and the Sports building was completed in 1998. We have added Outside facilities in 2006 along with our amazing High Ropes Course and the last major capital investment was our Boat House in 2013. Who : Creative Catalyst (Scotland) CIC is a social enterprise which supports young people into Creative Careers. After establishing and running a similar two year pilot project for young creatives as part of the lead up to Perth Creative Exchange and The Famous Grouse Ideas Centre opening , founding director Helen O’Brien decided to take the model of this project forward as a social enterprise. In September 2019 we successfully received ‘Start It’ funding from Firstport, and moved into our new studio at Perth Creative Exchange in November 2019. We have just received Firstport ‘Build It’ funding to support and embed our development in 2021-22. We offer creative employability opportunities for young people who face barriers to employment and training in Perth & Kinross. This project is specifically targeted at young creative individuals who need support to develop their confidence in their creative skills and abilities, and signpost to other opportunities and experiences that will support them with next steps of a creative career. We work alongside other 16+ support agencies in Perth & Kinross who refer young people to us, and we welcome individuals and support workers to contact us directly. How: We offer work experience and mentoring opportunities with professional artists and makers who run live creative projects for us, from design and prototyping an idea, to making a final product, marketing and selling; visit shop here. These projects develop a broad spectrum of practical creative and transferable skills including using imagination, problem solving, clear communication, persistence, self discipline, collaboration and working to a deadline. We also run creative workshops and programmes for children, families and communities which offer opportunities for our young people to work alongside a lead artist to gain confidence and experience of delivering projects with different age groups.

Our mission is to give hope and opportunities to children and young people in West London, so they fulfil their potential and leave prepared and excited for adult life. The Avenues team of youth professionals provides a safe, caring, youth-led space in a disadvantaged inner-city area, where young people can learn, develop and build towards a brighter future. Open-access after-school and holiday programmes take place in our purpose-built youth centre in North Westminster. Activities encompass sport, healthy cooking, music, art, dance, radio, skills development and career pathways. Delivered by our experienced team, the work is child-centred and promotes enjoyment, collaboration and individually tailored support towards personal development. Young people are encouraged to become volunteers, participate in social action, and to use their voices to share their ideas, opinions and needs, which in turn helps us shape the youth programmes. We are committed to the highest quality of youth work and in 2021 we were awarded the Gold Level London Youth Quality Mark. This is the badge of excellence for our sector, a quality assurance programme co-delivered with UK Youth and recognised by City and Guilds, local authorities and funders. The Avenues is one of London's leading youth centres. The Avenues team of youth professionals welcomes young people from every community in West London to a fun, creative space where you can discover new passions, skills and friends. Our purpose-built centre on Third Avenue, W10 has a sports hall, dance studio, music recording studio, radio room, training kitchen and art studio. The Holocaust Educational Trust was established in 1988. Our aim is to educate young people from every background about the Holocaust and the important lessons to be learned for today. The Trust works in schools, universities and in the community to raise awareness and understanding of the Holocaust, providing teacher training, an outreach programme for schools, teaching aids and resource material. One of our earliest achievements was ensuring that the Holocaust formed part of the National Curriculum for History. We continue to play a leading role in training teachers on how best to teach the Holocaust.
