We started work here in New Cross in the year 2000 when we were set up as St James Family Learning Centre by the Southwark Diocese Board of Education and the London Borough of Lewisham to address issues of inequality in education South London. Since then we have we have supported hundreds of families to have better chances in life by providing high quality early education and family learning activities. Over the years we have worked in partnership with Children’s Centres, local schools and other voluntary organisations to provide activities that promote lifelong skills and a love for learning. Today we are called New Cross & Deptford Families First and we are a not for profit limited Company (Company No. 07645531). We are also a registered charity St James and New Cross Gateway Trust (reg charity no. 1143836). Our Nursery is registered with and monitored by Ofsted, (registration number is EY493086). We continue to provide services to help parents and children to grow and achieve: educationally, socially and emotionally, by providing a safe space and access to enriching and stimulating activities. We are committed to providing families with high quality play experiences that lay the foundations for lifelong learning. . From the pioneering 'Keepers of the Green' that tended the historic links at St Andrews, Prestwick and Musselburgh to today's highly-skilled and dynamic course managers at the UK's top golfing venues, greenkeepers have shaped and defined this wonderful sport. Every step of the way, there has been an association providing them with support, education and advice. In January 1987 the British and International Golf Greenkeepers Association (BIGGA) was created due to an amalgamation of the British Golf Greenkeepers Association, The English and International Golf Greenkeepers Association and The Scottish and International Golf Greenkeepers Association. Since then, we've shone a light for the nation's greenkeepers, and 6,000 turf professionals from the United Kingdom and further afield are proud to call themselves BIGGA members. Now over 30 years old, the British and International Golf Greenkeepers Association is Europe's largest membership greenkeeping association. BIGGA has made outstanding progress to reach its position as a well-respected and integral part of the golf and turf industries. This progress is due to the dedication of very many members who have contributed voluntarily through committee work and support of BIGGA activity, as well as the team of staff based at BIGGA House and in the Regions. The courses, seminars, lectures and conferences at the Leadership Training Centre are designed and facilitated to support the formation and development of Christian leaders in their various practice of ministry. The Certificate in Ministerial Studies(CIMS) courses are open to Pastors and Church leaders from all Christian denominations. CIMS courses provide learning opportunities for effective Christian service within and beyond the local church. We continue to work in partnership with a selected number of theological institutions and organisations such as The Queen’s Foundation for Ecumenical Theological Education, the Pentecostal Theological Seminary (PTS) and the Association of Christian Counsellors’ (ACC)). Partnership with PTS enables us to facilitate a Certificate Programme for Church Leaders and a UK MDiv cohort which should appeal to those who wish to advance their theological studies particularly in our Pentecostal tradition. The CIMS course, Helping People in Crises, for example, has been extended to incorporate the ACC acclaimed ‘Pastoral Care Foundation Course’ and provide an opportunity for those with a heart for pastoral care to sharpen their perspective and skills to become more effective in the care of people in their churches and local communities. We welcome every Pastor and key leader within the New Testament Church of God and other denominations to take advantage of our provision to enrich your personal and ministerial development and enhance your practice of ministry.

Adoption is a way of making a real difference to a child, by giving them the love, stability and safe nurturing environment every child deserves. After adoption, all rights and responsibilities are transferred from the original parents to the adoptive parents. The child assumes the surname of the new parents, receives an adoption certificate to replace their birth certificate and becomes a permanent and full member of the new family. We believe that the stability of a forever family gives children the best possible chance of realising their full potential. Training and support will be provided to help you prepare for adoption and this support is continued for as long as you feel it is needed. Adopt South West aims to find safe, secure, permanent homes for children who are unable to live with their birth families. We work in partnership with Devon County Council, Plymouth City Council, Somerset County Council and Torbay Council.

Welcome to London Fields Fitness Studio (Est.2010), founded by fitness superstar Sapan Sehgal. His philosophy for the studio is to provide fun and affordable fitness for the community, so that even if you've lost your job or eaten a little too much Deliveroo this month, you can still squeeze a workout into the budget without breaking the bank! Because #Science, we know that regular exercise is crucial to maintaining good physical and even mental health, so it's our job to make it as enjoyable and accessible as possible for everyone, from Auntie May who's a little on the heavy side to Nephew Billie who's at college, living on pot noodles. After years working in commercial central London gyms, Sapan wanted to create the anti-gym; a fun and friendly space, full of laughs and good times, that anyone and everyone would feel welcome in- less machines, less mirrors. We pride ourselves on leaving our fitfam with a warm and fuzzy feeling after class, and super sore muscles the next day! We love developing new and exciting classes and innovations that are unique to the studio e.g. Booty Camp, YogaHIIT, Lovercise and HulaFit. We are big believers in body-weight based exercises and work hard to encourage originality and creativity amongst our instructors within that framework.
