We are a training company offering courses for the Workplace and Healthcare sector Plans for 2023: As regional trainers we’re concerned by the price of fuel and train tickets, strikes and protests, and as such the core team are concerned about making commitments to customers that we can’t keep. Each of the trainers have reduced the distance they are willing to travel and as such the area they are able to cover. At present, we’re only looking to make available about six months. Hopefully this will improve as the outlook improves. Coronavirus Update: The UK Resus Council have confirmed that their ‘Pandemic Protocols’ are not to be considered temporary and we are to treat them as the new norm. This means that a leaner only has to demonstrate effective chest compression to demonstrate competence. The group size is now an increasingly important factor as distancing still needs to be observed on any course. We are minded to cap any course to 12 unless the room size permits otherwise. Bethlem Gallery is a visual arts organisation in south-east London. We programme creative activities, projects and commissions to participate in, look at, talk and think about. Based at Bethlem Royal Hospital, Beckenham, and working across South London and the UK, we support the professional development and socially engaged practice of our artists, many of whom have experienced mental health services. We bridge communities, aiming to make art an everyday practice and mental health an everyday conversation. Our programme includes collaborations with other cultural and health organisations including Bethlem Museum of the Mind, with whom we share a building, artists-in-residence, and interdisciplinary research. We engage audiences in learning and debate on the subject of mental health and artistic practice. We are a charity founded in 1997. As well as working in our gallery and studio space at Bethlem Royal Hospital, we programme exhibitions at the Long Gallery at Maudsley Hospital and the ORTUS conferencing centre, and commission new public artworks. “Pills are ok, counselling is ok and it will get you back on the streets, but what keeps your mind alive is what you learn here. Join one of our Lovely, lively language classes for adults. We have 500 classes in the UK, just waiting for you to learn French, Spanish or Italian for fun!At the time, I was teaching in an FE college, and in a Primary School and studying for a PGCE in adult education. I quickly realised that many of the games and interactive techniques that the children enjoyed could be adapted for adult pupils. I decided to trial a language course for adults where the focus was on fun and conversation, rather than results and written work. So in 2007 I created French for Fun and held my first classes in Newcastle-under-Lyme. Through trial and error, I came up with a regular weekly format that worked and incorporated the learning theory from my PGCE. The classes are now built around a series of conversations, so everyone gets up and talks in every lesson at the same time (no trembling in front of the class). In January 2010, after enrolling our 60th student, I decided to see if French for Fun worked with other languages. In March 2010, Sally and Alejandra started to translate the programme in to Spanish with great success and we have also finished the Italian translation. I also started to offer licences to other teachers, training them to use my materials and supporting them to set up their own language teaching business. We now have 100 teachers dotted around the country and we’re training more all the time, so there will be a class coming to somewhere near you soon. Yippee! It is with great sadness that Ipswich Mosque has learned of the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Our deepest condolences to Her Majesty’s children and their families on this sad occasion. Her Majesty was a great example of devotion to civic duty and public life. She is not only the longest reigning monarch in British history she has also been the background to the lives of most of us alive today. She was the monarch who earned the widest possible respect here in the UK and throughout the world. Her Majesty always put duty first and brought dignity and decency to the highest office in the land. She embodied the best of qualities and was a focus for national unity and identity. Her Majesty has been the still calm centre of stability and reassurance to this nation and the other nations of which has been head of state for more than seventy years.
