We are an all girls Catholic School located in Artane, North Dublin. We are a modest school with just under 200 pupils. We are lucky enough to have a large building with 16 brightly decorated classrooms, a large playground and a football pitch. Our playground has three areas accommodating the infants, middle classes and senior classes. During break times children can sit down, relax and meet a new friend on the Buddy Bench, glide down the slide, hang out on the monkey bars, scramble up the spider’s web or giddy up on the spring rocking horses. Our Active School Team have purchased lots of fabulous equipment for yard such as skipping ropes, hula hoops, and a variety of balls to suit every age group eg. football, rugby, dodgeballs. During the fine weather the girls love to play out on the football pitch, or “the field” as it is more commonly known.

At Blocfit we are also dedicated to and embrace those who wants to improve their technique or train for their climbing goals. Our skilled Blocfit staff can personalise a training plan for you, or alternatively one of our expert team can offer one to one technique coaching. We also regularly host specialist workshops, classes and courses run by leading international level experts from the climbing world. Of course ,you could also just follow your own training plan - or even just climb socially with friends in our bouldering room!

I am Nancy, I help runners, cyclists and swimmers to improve their movement and ultimately, to achieve their performance goals. I have been practicing Pilates since 2003 after suffering an injury in my back whilst traveling in Asia and being referred to a Pilates rehabilitation course as part of my recovery. The disc injury healed but I have suffered with chronic pain ever since, I have found that doing Pilates alongside my training helps me to maintain a healthy and almost pain free body and improves my racing performance. I’m an experienced cyclist and have competed in time trials, crit & road races and mountain sportive’s including the Etape du Tour. I’m an avid trail runner competing in 10km, half marathon and ultra marathon events. After the purchase of a 1958 Pontiac hearse for $250, Enterprise Rescue Squad answered its first call in 1963. Seven members of the community trained in American Red Cross First Aid volunteered to staff the fledgling service which was headquartered on Main Street by Glover Avenue. Over time the service grew and acquired new ambulances and better equipment. In 1981 Dr. Andy Kirk put together the Service’s first structured Emergency Medical curriculum and “attendants” became EMT’s providing much better care for the community. As our ranks grew, we began to see the need for a new facility. In 1994 after much fund raising and hard work, Enterprise Rescue moved to our current location at 205 W. Lee Street. Our station includes a dayroom, kitchen, communications room, sleeping quarters, and a bay that houses 4 ambulances and a service lift. As the City of Enterprise grew and the demand for Emergency Medical Services increased, it became obvious that the change from volunteer to paid service was neccesary. In 1997 Enterprise Rescue Squad became Enterprise Rescue, Inc. Now with almost 20 years as a paid system, Enterprise Rescue has over 40 employees and 7 ambulances. We currently average over 11000 calls a year and operate three 24/7 ambulances and one day ambulance in Enterprise as well as one 24/7 ambulance and one day ambulance in Elba. With the addition of a separate administration and training building at 519 E. Lee Street, Enterprise Rescue has become a regional training facility for various programs and agencies. We hold over 100 classes a year ranging from basic first aid and CPR to critical care and specialty courses for advanced medical providers. Enterprise Rescue strives to provide the very best medical care for our coverage area. We are constantly finding ways to improve the quality of our services. From the newest state-of-the-art medical equipment and vehicles to ongoing training in the latest developments in emergency medicine, we will continue to serve our community with professionalism and pride.
