I have been practising yoga since 2001 and Qigong since 2017. My practice includes pranayama, yoga nidra, seasonal flow, vinyasa flow, yin and qigong. All practices have influenced my physical, emotional and mental wellbeing and have been life changing. I am passionate about creating opportunities for others to experience the benefits yoga and qigong can bring. My journey has been strongly influenced by the instruction and support I have received from the teachers who have inspired me and whose encouragement ultimately led me to train as a teacher. My teaching journey started with teaching children yoga; having always enjoyed working with children and holding a firm belief in making things better and easier for them, it seemed natural to combine two of my passions – yoga and children. If only I had known then how simple breathing activities could help calm my mind and balancing as a tree could help focus my mind…..perhaps exams wouldn’t have been so stressful and bullying not been so distressing. I now teach all age groups from babies to teens and adults, including children with additional needs. My classes are influenced by the styles of yoga I have practised over the years and the teachers who have inspired me. I teach from the heart and with a sense of humour. I believe yoga is creative, fun and educational, suitable for all ages and capabilities. Yoga gives us the understanding and practical applications to be the best people we can be and to live by our values; it is an honour to have this practice in my life. I am a Yoga Alliance Registered Teacher, completing my 200 hours with Seasonal Yoga Academy in Glasgow. I trained with Birthlight to teach babies and toddlers, and holds certifications in children’s yoga with Breathe and Be You, and yoga for additional needs, completed with Special Yoga. I’ve been an holistic therapist since 1996 gosh!!! having always been different I suppose you would call me an eclectic blend of witch, druid, Buddhist, spirit, star-seed and light-worker all rolled into one. Having studied a variety of beliefs, traditions and religions, I’ve taken what I’ve liked and left the bits I don’t. I’ve always lived a busy life style you know …. work, travel, going to clubs , circles, groups and Moots. My life was happy and fulfilled . I’ve worked for myself making lotions and potions , I’ve always been called a Witch, but i don’t mind.., I’ve traveled the world, life was good until I returned from Vietnam having had my booster jab at my Gps surgery. Recovering.. In 2016 after a Hepatitis vaccination left me with my body attacking its self , with stroke like symptoms unable to move more that a few feet let alone walk, talk or look after myself. I was added to the list of random side effects and given a diagnosis of ME/CFs . later on that years fibromyalgia was added to the list having had all joints in my body attacked leaving me in pain like I’ve never experienced (except for child birth..) So, it’s been an up hill struggle these last few years. I’ve returned to my roots seeking out like-minded people and those who can offer healing on an energetic level. I trained in Angelic Reiki and what an experience that was.. Beautiful if not profound connection with the Angelic Realm, I often call upon them when times are hard. My grand-pier had passed to the world of spirit not long before I got sick and during that same year I must have gone to 20 funerals. Three of my friends passed within two weeks and over that 10 month period it became a stand joke, no one would stand near me.. I don’t know how I would have made it through if I didn’t know where they were going or if they were alright. But, I do know where they are, I have that comfort and often feel them around me, I wish you all felt what I feel, the love and support they send, and you can..

HISTORY AND ETHOS Traditional academic education since 1865 – bringing out the best in all children. Lime House School has strong roots in the local community and has offered a traditional academic education since the late 19th century. The school was formally established in 1899 in Wetheral, a small village located five miles to the east of Carlisle. In 2012, three Lime House School reports emerged dated 1865, adding another 34 years to the school’s long history. The school moved to its present location at Hawkesdale near the village of Dalston in 1947, and initially operated as a traditional prep school for boys up to the age of 13 under the leadership of a Mr Lovelock which continued throughout the 1950s and early 1960s. In the 1960s the school was owned and run by a pioneering headmaster, Mr PJ Ingrams, who admitted girls to the school and introduced O Levels and A levels. Mr Ingrams led the school until his untimely disappearance on a climbing expedition to the Andes in 1974. After a short period with Mr A Templeton-Turner as Headmaster, the school was purchased by the owners of Riverston International in London and Mr M Lewis took over as head in 1977. The school continued to grow, partly due to the closure of two local independent schools, Grosvenor House and Overwater School in Carlisle, and in 1983 was purchased by three local businessmen with children at the school led by Mr W Brotherton. School numbers continued to grow and extra boarding houses were created in the local area, in particular at Greensyke Farm where the Junior School moved to and the girls became housed at ‘The Oaks’ in Dalston. Lime House School was purchased from Mr W Brotherton and his family in 1998 by Mr Nigel Rice, Headmaster from 1983 until his retirement in 2017, his wife Mrs Diane Rice, Senior Housemistress and Head of Learning Support and the Bursar, Ms Jackie Fisher. Under their combined ownership Lime House has flourished to become the unique school it is today, offering an exceptional academic education to all children within a stimulating and supportive atmosphere.

We understand that high levels of anxiety and a lack of confidence brought on by difficult or confusing experiences can be one of the highest hurdles to overcome. This can then begin a devastating spiral that can affect a person’s life potential on many levels. The director, Annabelle Padwick has a wide variety of skills, experience and qualifications relating to therapeutic approaches to working with those struggling with anxiety, low confidence and special educational needs. Ethos and approach We are committed to providing a safe, inspiring and nurturing environment that can meet the needs of young people who are struggling in a mainstream setting and adults in day to day life. We are focused on identifying individuals whose anxiety and lack in confidence can mean they are so often overlooked. We aim to empower people through a variety of practical, outdoor and creative activities that not only teach valuable and transferable skills, but that also have a meaningful and therapeutic value. We will foster relationships based on compassion and understand any behaviour is a form of communication of difficult thoughts and feelings. Through this we can begin to help a person have a deeper insight of themselves, which will develop and encourage emotional and social growth, whilst increasing self-awareness. We will have a culture firmly rooted in the therapeutic approach in order to provide reflection, space for growth and support for the people accessing the service, their families and our growing team. Meeting the need The organisation is a social enterprise which aims to meet a very real and growing need. Sadly, mental health struggles are rising in children and adults year on year. The current education system alongside the NHS has been and will be under a great deal of pressure, with limited resources to meet the needs of people who have complex needs and anxiety struggles. Often, these individuals slip through the net or end up disengaged from school and their wider network, which can have a devastating effect on their lives.

We are accredited by The Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors. We have strong links with the surveying profession both in terms of potential employers and equipment manufacturers. The Course takes place in two six-week blocks spread over two years. The Survey School is home to the TSA Surveying Course. We are the UK’s only commercial training centre that provides training to the land survey profession which is accredited by The Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors. The Survey School was established in Worcester over 30 years ago and, on the 1st May 2014, The Survey Association (TSA) took over the running of The School to ensure the continuation of arguably the best survey training available in the UK. Since taking over the running of The School, TSA has invested in updating the IT systems and equipment and has received immense support from the survey instrument manufacturers. In the late 1990’s, it was evident that there was a need for non-academic practical survey training and so the TSA Surveying Course was developed. Find out more about TSA here.
