Cheshire Exam Success

cheshire exam success

All our tutors, for revision sessions and weekly group tutoring, are teachers with relevant experience, current curriculum knowledge and skills to be able to ensure revision sessions are specific to the exact exam board and assessment objectives. All tutors are inspiring and can engage and motivate students to succeed and be confident learners. I am a history teacher of 25 years, with over 15 years of examiner experience covering all exam boards. I currently examine for WJEC (Educas),Edexcel and AQA GCSE and AQA and Edexcel A Level. I lead courses all over the country that cover exam technique, revision strategies and history specific knowledge. I also work with schools to improve departments and increase student outcomes. I have been a subject leader and Head of Faculty for many years and understand what is required to enable students to make the greatest progress. With that in mind I have Jayne_mackay a team of experienced teachers, that I have worked with over the years, to lead the revision sessions. All teach the range of student ability and will ensure that the sessions are pitched at the right level for your child to enable them to develop and make progress from their starting points. Intensive revision sessions can motivate your children to approach their revision more independently and give them the tools to achieve their very best. The smaller class sizes means more individual attention, which is beneficial in improving results. The work of Cheshire Exam Success will supplement what is done in school and will provide consolidation and enrichment. I have a year 13 child of my own and am aware of the pressure and increasing demands on students to achieve, by using Cheshire Exam Success you can be assured your child will gain that extra support that will allow them to gain their best possible result. Hull

Welcome to Priory Primary School’s website. We are a large primary school situated in the west of the City of Hull. We are part of the Thrive Co-operative Learning Trust along with 6 other primary schools and 2 secondary schools. We are a school which is committed to providing an exciting, challenging, connected curriculum which supports lifelong learning, physical and emotional well-being and encourages all our children to have high aspirations for their future. We work with the whole school community to provide a welcoming, safe and caring environment. Currently we are working hard to reestablish our usual routines in school following the disruption of the pandemic while continuing to ensure that we operate safely and follow our new risk assessments to mitigate the risk of the virus spreading in our school community. If children are unable to be at school at this time because they have tested positive for COVID, but are well enough to work, we offer remote learning through Google Classroom. This is as closely aligned to the classroom curriculum as possible. Children will be offered access to dongles to provide internet access and a device if they do not have this available at home. If a child is entitled to Free School Meals this is also available. Working in partnership with parents is crucial as together we can ensure your child feels safe, valued and happy. We are looking forward to being able to invite parents into school again when it is safe to do so and until that time we are very responsive to emails, to our admin address or the year group email addresses, and telephone calls. We welcome new children to our school. Please call the school if you would like further information.

We offer a curriculum which is designed around the principles of Curriculum for Excellence to meet the needs of all of our learners and offers opportunities for our young people to develop their skills for learning, life and work. As well as the formal curriculum, we offer a wide variety of exciting extra-curricular activities that develop our pupils' creativity, talents and passion for learning. We also offer pupils the opportunity to extend their learning beyond school on excursions and expeditions. We have links with a school in Malawi and have run a number of expeditions for students, as well as trips to Europe. The school is situated in the beautiful grounds of a spacious 17 acre site and is a highly attractive and inspiring setting for our pupils to learn and develop. Horseworld Trust

Whitchurch

HorseWorld is a charity dedicated to saving the lives of abandoned, neglected and mistreated horses, ponies and donkeys. The organisation cares for more than 100 horses, ponies and donkeys at its Bristol site and provides after-care and support for around 200 more, who have been re-homed throughout the South-West. The charity also runs the innovative Discovery educational programme. HorseWorld's vital 365-days-a-year animal welfare work is funded by voluntary donations. You can help transform the lives of horses, ponies and donkeys. HorseWorld is not open to the public on a day-to-day basis but it holds Open Days throughout the year. Please see the events page for details. HorseWorld's Registered Charity number is 1121920 Background The charity began life in 1952 as "The Friends of Bristol Horses Society" in a campaign to save the lives of working horses who were rapidly being replaced by motorised vehicles in industry. Under the banner of “Retirement Not Slaughter” - for many were destined for the abattoir - the charity offered a safe haven in Bristol for the big-hearted horses, ponies and donkeys that had worked all their lives on the railways, in the dockyards, the coal mines, the roads and for the armed forces. Decades later working horses are largely a memory of the past. But there is still a very real demand for this work - to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home up to 100 abandoned, neglected and mistreated horses every year. New Garden Cities Alliance - Community Interest Company

London

HOME / ABOUT Welcome to the New Garden Cities Alliance We are an alliance of organisations – commercial and not-for-profit – and as well as individuals – dedicated to promote the formation of new, genuine Garden Cities. Our aim is to work in partnership with existing bodies to establish standards for Garden Cities that Britain can be proud of. Also to establish exemplars for an environmentally sustainable society that promotes the wellbeing of all citizens. In particular we wish to set minimum standards for Garden Cities: 1. Being applied to establish new settlements or for transforming existing urban precincts; 2. To integrate the design of their invisible architecture of ownership, control and funding with their visible architecture to promote the common good; 3. That requires mutual ownership of all land to capture and share its value on negotiable basis with all residents be they homeowners or tenants; 4. To attracts investors, entrepreneurs, established and new businesses to add value to the community on basis that equitably shares any profits in excess of the incentive to invest; 5. With the capacity to become largely self-reliant in regards to the basic needs of its residents for water, food and energy and value adding activities to sustain citizen prosperity in perpetuity; 6. That inspires citizens, leaders, community groups, planners, architects and all other stakeholders to work together to a common vision of an ecologically sustainable, fair and equitable society. The New Garden Cities Alliance has been tasked by the signatories of the Letchworth Garden City Declaration to create a movement and organise the consensus to setup the mechanisms so that an agreed definition of what a Garden City is can take root and we can give new settlements the confidence to call themselves ‘Garden Cities’ if they meet a set of agreed social, planning and architectural criteria.
