Creative is an international development organization dedicated to supporting people around the world to realize the positive change they seek.PAKISTAN Reading Project Pakistan is one of the few countries where illiteracy rates are actually increasing. Government statistics show that primary school enrollment is only 66 percent, which means some 7.2 million children are not in classrooms. The Pakistan Reading Project is a national program aimed at improving the quality of reading education in more than 23,000 public schools. It is funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development. Under the International Rescue Committee’s purview, along with 10 local and international partners, Creative is delivering high-quality pre-service teacher education, training and professional development with an explicit focus on teaching reading. It will improve management throughout the education system through policy support and enhanced information, planning and monitoring systems. Complementing education initiatives by the Pakistan government, USAID and other international partners, the Pakistan Reading Project will promote a culture of reading nationally by improving organizations’ abilities to promote educational research, advocacy and reform, as well as expanding the number of colleges and universities offering rigorous teacher training and specialized education degrees. The Pakistan Reading Project will advance and develop the reading instruction skills of 94,000 teachers over the next five years and is expected to reach 3.2 million boys and girls with improved reading programs. The program will specially target underserved rural communities where access to elementary education is limited.

A bespoke twelve-week resilience and anger management programme, for your school. Sessions can be devised to meet your cohort requirements. Our programme supports Y5 & Y6, students who form part of your ‘hard to reach’ cohort, who without preventative intervention may struggle with transition into Y7 and may become at risk of permanent exclusion. Our programme can be tailored for Y7 students to support them further, post transition. Furthermore, we can adapt our programme to engage with vulnerable students who are low in confidence, self esteem and social skills. Week 1 is an introduction to the course to students. Weeks 2 -11 is; A one-hour period of Taekwondo, teaching students the importance of self-discipline and respect, whilst improving self-esteem, confidence and team working skills. A one-hour classroom-based session covering: mental health; mindfulness; sleep hygiene; relaxation & calming techniques; health and well-being; resilience and positive mental attitude. We can also deliver lessons exploring how to be a model citizen, and how to avoid becoming drawn into contemporary youth crime such as: anti-social behaviour; bullying; truancy; knife crime; gangs and substance misuse. We will also deliver lessons covering; parent abuse; internet safety; personal safety; child sexual exploitation (if the school deems appropriate); crime & consequences; and domestic violence. I have been a drummer for over 25 years and my professional career saw me touring the U.K. and Europe extensively. I also have a vast experience of sound engineering and promoting as well as recording. Having started with snare drum and percussion at school including playing with the Bristol School's Orchestra I later started playing the drum kit and taking my playing and lessons seriously. After a great deal of experience playing with local bands I met some very talented and experienced musicians with whom I set up a highly successful professional function band. This band toured extensively every year for 10 years both in the U.K. and abroad with their favourites being Holland, Germany and Portugal gaining an excellent reputation and attracting top level management. I mixed this with deps and recordings for a variety of artists covering many different styles. I started teaching drums privately after completing my first teaching qualification (I then quickly become a fully qualified teacher through studying in my free time). After building-up a successful private practice I taught in primary and secondary schools for Bristol City Council, Bath & North East Somerset and Wiltshire County Council. I have also taught in private schools and ran several series of highly popular band workshops in youth clubs in Bristol and Bath. I currently mix teaching drums with playing regularly with a variety of bands and teaching at Bath College.

As a signatory of the Registration Council for Dog Trainers and Behaviour Practitioners; and a supporting member of Qualified International Dog Training Instructors, I abide by the Companion Animal Welfare Council code of practice. I started working with dogs at the grass roots, as a dog walker. It began when I got my own dog, Bonnie, and a friend asked me if I would walk her dog too, on a professional basis. That seems like a lifetime ago now. And it goes deeper than that, as my childhood was enriched with a numerous, assortment of family dogs. It planted the seed. The dog walking business flourished and opened my eyes to the wonderful world of working with dogs. I wanted to explore more and so embarked on a practical course with a highly knowledgeable and experienced dog trainer. He has shared the art of pet dog training with me and taught me to instruct. I have been instructing owners in puppy training and dog training since 2014. My practical, reward based dog training experience is backed up with continued professional development and study. I have attended residential courses, workshops and seminars, including True2Life Dog Training and Behaviour, and the Canine Instructors' Academy, gaining diplomas, and I continue to study the science of behaviour with an Advanced Diploma in Canine Behaviour Management.
